Lane Masters Big Bang SE Ball Review BALL SPECS Pin Length 3” Starting Top Weight 3oz Ball Weight 15lb DRILL PATTERN 4.5x4 w/2in pin buffer BOWLERS STYLE Rev Rate 350 Ball Speed 17.5-18 PAP 4 ¾ w/¼ up SURFACE PREP OOB (1000 Abralon w/factory polish) LANE CONDITION THS with approx. 15 game bowled prior. BALL REACTION What I saw out of the Big Bang SE was a ball that gave me a late mid-lane read with a controlled arcing motion in the back end. I was able to play my comfort area, which is 18-8 but if I sprayed the ball out a little farther the ball would still make it back with authority, although some late tripped 7-10s were seen. As a comparison to other balls in the Lord Field/Lane Masters line, I found this ball 5 boards stronger than the Judgment and a breakpoint shape of the Higgs Force. With that combo I didn’t see a lot of over/under that I tend to see in that house with carry down. For another comparison, I took a Lord Field Pin Hacker with identical core, pin, and top weight and placed the same drilling on the ball. What I found was really interesting. The Pin Hacker read earlier mid-lane, about 3 feet earlier and also had a slightly more angular breakpoint allowing me to play a little bit deeper on the lane. The carry of the Bag Bang SE was excellent with a lot of low flying pin action. The ball was extremely clean through the heads with a late mid-lane read and an extremely controllable backend motion with continuation to the pit. COMMENTS Likes Great color scheme, great carry and controllability Dislikes None yet Bob Kuliga Lord Field/ Lane Masters Staff
