The new Catalyst™ Core is not only the heart of this ball, it’s soon to be the heart of exceptional bowling! It’s a dynamic asymmetrical design which helps you create more angle through the pocket. It’s been proven that increasing your entry angle gives you a wider margin for error to strike. Think Jason Belmonte. Maybe you can’t bowl with two hands, but with the Crux you can start striking like him!

And with the proven ERG™ hybrid reactive coverstock prepped to 3000-grit rest assured that the new Crux overflows with performance.

    Storm - We are “The Bowler’s Company™.”

A very serious and versatile ball. My first 723 series ever in tournament conditions. For a decent house shot, it has predictable motions, gives you more miss room. I appreciate that fact that while aggressive, it doesn't leap and jerk like some of the beast mode balls on the market. For a slower and lower-rev bowler like myself, I can play more inside. I used the Crux yesterday for sis games in tournament. It doesn't completely die on you when the pattern transitions, and stays true to your mark. The only ball in my arsenal I can depend on now to be a true tight pocket strike ball. I think Storm really did a great thing by making the layout less important than the equipment. Out of box condition is great for most from what I've seen. I was amazed at how friendly the Crux is given some of the comments on the web about it being too agressive.

I have the Crux and it is the best rolling ball I have used in a long long time. It hits like a Mack truck and carry is awesome. Have used it in league for seven games and only left one ten pin. When is the last time that has happened. Mr. Anonymous are you smarter than Victor M., Storm's "Mad Scientist", who designed this core, I think not!

This ball hooks as much as any other Storm ball. For some reason they aren't designing balls that actually hook. The thumb cavity is a non-versatile design that doesn't let bowlers increase the dynamics of the ball. Makes no sense.
