A Boost for Your Dry Lane Game

Posted by Austin Bowen - 900 Global Staff on Jun 20th 2019

What a bang for the buck! Definitely the best reaction by far you will get from an entry level ball. If your looking for a slight step up from the After Dark the Boost is your answer. This ball will not under or over hook and has more than enough energy to go through pins. The new colors is very appealing and the same affordable low price. If you have never had a boost you are missing out... I wouldn't know what to do without mine. So waste no time and get one for yourself as soon as possible!

    Boost Red/Charcoal

    Boost Red/Charcoal
    Cover Stock: S43 Pearl
    Finish: 1500 Grit Polished
    Core: Launch Symmetric
    RG: 2.54
    Differential: 0.043

    Layout: 60 x 5 3/16 x 50
    Tester: PAP 5 1/2 R, 1 1/2 D

The updated color combinations of the Boost provides the same performance as previous versions released in the product line. What I like best about the Boost is the smooth and controllable ball motion. If you are enjoying the After Dark line the Boost is perfect for a slight step up for a ball to address light medium to drier lane conditions. The Boost is sharper off the spot for me compared to the After Solid and Pearl. However, I did not see as much over/under as I initially thought I would. If you do see that type of reaction simply take a 3K or 2K and rough up the surface by hand. The Boost is a nice addition for any arsenal and you'll likely find a spot in the bag for this one as the lanes transition.

The Function 500 series Boost Pearl Red/Charcoal. This my first Boost and this ball is awesome!!! I might buy a case!!! If you need a ball for dry lanes that’s has a little extra punch than the After Dark Series then this your ball. I switched to this ball in game 3 and went 289 and 279 back to back. This ball was tested on a THS 41 feet. Layout 75x4 1/2x40. All skill levels of bowlers should have this ball in their bag. Boost Pearl Red/Charcoal is available as well. Get one today!
