Additional product information:

The ALL NEW S84 Beta Hybrid Cover was designed to complement the S84 Response Cover. This revolutionary material reduces the microscopic pore sizes while maintaining the “teeth” that it's predecessor became famous for. S84 Beta offers a similar overall hook potential versus S84 Response, but a vastly different backend shape. Paired with the Disturbance Asymmetric Core, the Reality Check will offer the most angular reaction ever for the 900 Series!!

Disturbance Asymmetric Core

The Disturbance Asymmetric Core utilizes a modified scutoid geometric shape. This eccentric shape has a base of 6 sides and an apex of 5 sides. The elimination of the 6th side as you move vertically up the weight block creates the perfect amount of asymmetry. This shape also provides the RG/Diff values that all bowlers demand by utilizing a smaller amount of space within the outer core. When you put all of this together…we have created a truly unique and never before seen reaction to the 900 Series.

    900Global Reality Check by PLL

For me, The reality Check is an another success of the reality family ! Even if I didn't play a lot with the original Reality because of is big solid surface, I had really loved it and it's follow me when I go on te tournament road. However, last year I played a lot with the pearl version, the Altered Reality and I had a lot of succes with ! It was a really smooth and predictable ball. For this one, the Reality Check come with a hybrid surface and for me the reaction is really different of the 2 previous one. I drilled mine 50 x 5 x 40. For a assymetric ball, it passed the first part of the lane very well and keep a really biggest reaction on the entry of the pins. It will be for sure a good house shot and transition ball. This ball seems to fit many styles of play.

This pin-wrecking machine combines the all-new S84 Beta Hybrid Reactive coverstock wrapped around 900 Globals’ proven Disturbance Asymmetric core. And this winning duo of cover/core solidifies the Reality Check as the powerful next generation in the Reality line. So, let’s take a closer look at how the Reality Check destroys a THS. The Disturbance Asymmetric core was developed in the original Reality and is a straighter player’s best friend. I love how this core fights to “stand up” as it heads down the lane! And when it finds its “roll,” the Disturbance Core unleashes powerful energy that crushes everything in its path. Further, being a straighter and low rev player, I can count on the Disturbance Core to get me out of trouble when I missed right or pulled one inside. And with its reliable motion and intense continuation through the pins, I can depend on the Disturbance Core to keep me in the game even when I’m not at my best. The S84 Beta Hybrid cover was an awesome surprise! I like how this cover gave the Reality Check a strong and crisp angular motion off the pattern regardless of where I played my line. On fresh oil, I liked how the S84 Hybrid cut through the heads easily without overreacting in the mid-lane. And when the S84 Hybrid exits the pattern, I loved how it created a well-defined angular motion I don’t usually see when playing straight up the second arrow. Then as the pattern broke down, I enjoyed the security the S84 Hybrid provided as I moved in and opened my angles. I could count on the S84’s predictability and crisp angular motion to help my challenged rev rate get to the pocket! And as a straighter player, when I can move in with authority like the S84 Beta Hybrid allows, I can elevate my game to a higher and stronger level! In conclusion, 900 Global has produced a striking winner with the Reality Check! And for straighter, low rev players like me, the Reality Check is a powerful new weapon to add to your arsenal. 900 Global - Reality Check

The 900 Global Reality Check bowling ball features the proven Disturbance Core and the new S84 Beta Coverstock, which should allow for a more angular reaction. Everybody knows how good the Reality is, and I think the Reality Check is actually a very good compliment to the original Reality! I had lots of success with the pin-up Reality; so, I drilled my Reality Check with a longer pin-to-pap, pin up layout as well: 65 x 5 ½ x 30. I expected this ball to flare a lot and with this coverstock, I was hoping to get a responsive asymmetrical bowling ball for when I need to increase my launch angles. Honestly, I think I have achieved just that with this Reality Check. The Reality Check is probably one of the most responsive asymmetrical bowling balls I have thrown recently. The ball is quite clean through the front part of the lane and has a “quick” change of direction down lane, which is normally a bit unusual for a strong asymmetrical bowling ball. Medium to longer patterns that have a defined “hookspot” is where I see this Reality Check to be most useful. I also think that the Reality Check is great for centers that have high friction lane surfaces. Lastly, this ball goes through the pins really well for me! Want to see me throwing the Reality Check? 900 Global Reality Check

Layout: 45 x 4 5/8 x 35 The Reality Check is one of the cleaner, most responsive high end balls that I have used in some time. Balls such as the first Reality or the Proton Physix roll quite a bit earlier, and even something like the previous entry in the line, the Altered Reality, I found to pick up sooner as well. The Reality Check ignores the heads and the front of the mids, but really digs in to the lane in the back half of the lane. It is a perfect step down from the dull high end choices, and a perfect stronger compliment to balls such as the Wolverine Dark Moss, Idol Cosmos, or the Night Road. It is right at home on medium/heavy to medium lane conditions.

    Great add on!

Now that all 3 of the Reality balls are in my bag...I'm a happy bowler! The Reality Check is going to turn some heads! Very nice through the heads and very controllable on the back ends! Very nice add on to the Reality series being a Hybrid. After I got to put all 3 Reality balls on the ball return, I had a chance to toss them one by one and compare them. Now this is just a freshly oiled house shot. The Reality Check holds its own, it tends to hold its energy more at the end, and really loves hitting the pocket! Mine was right out of the box, and I love the way it rolls. I'm a right hander and when I was starting to leave some nice 10 pins...I actually moved left. I have to learn to move a little quicker lol! If you get one...your going to love it. I was pretty impressed

    Reality Check

The 3rd ball In the reality line has some big shoes to fill coming from its previous successors. The reality check in my opinion is living up to the hype with its clean ball motion and pop off the spot. This Ball fits perfect between my original reality and altered reality. If this ball is too smooth or too close to the original reality for you hit it with a 1500 grit abralon pad and polish it. Get to your local pro shop for this new piece by 900Global.

900 Global Reality Check Ball Review by PJ Haggerty

The 900 Global Reality check is one of the latest additions to the 900 Series at 900 Global.  After drilling and having a ton of success with the Reality and Altered Reality, I was excited to see the Reality Check being added to the line.  The Reality Check uses the same engine as the previous Reality balls (Disturbance Asymmetrical Core), but the scientists at Storm tweaked the cover to create a quicker response time and more backend shape down-lane.  I've drilled one Reality Check so far and love it.  I've mapped it out as 5.5 x 5 x 70. This puts the pin in-between my bridge and middle finger and puts the mass bias just to the right of my thumb.  Initially, I left the surface alone to see how it rolls, but have since used a 3000 pad to create a smoother shape and slow down the response time a little.  I've had the most success using the Reality Check after my Reality starts to run out of gas, but also when asymmetrical balls are still going through the pins well and I need a ball to store energy.   Also, when comparing it to other balls, I think it's earlier and more round than a UFO Alert and RST X2, but not as early as a Gem.  I hope that helps give you a picture of where I see it fitting. If you need an asymmetrical ball that will store energy and compliments the rest of the line, go drill a Reality Check!

900 Global Reality Check by Casey Murphy

Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and ½ up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 5 x 4 x 2 ½ (pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ½ x 4 x 4 1/8 (pin below bridge) I liked the Reality and Altered Reality and the Reality Check is a cleaner combination of them both. The Reality Check is a two part solid one part pearl hybrid that gets through the fronts very easy. There has to be some OIL for me to use my Reality or my Altered, but the Reality Check is clean enough to use right out of the gate. I can use it to get through the fronts but not go crazy on the backend, which is the perfect use for hybrids. If you’re a fan of the Reality series, the Reality Check is a must have!
