    Pin Up 5.25

The Phantom has versatility to it easily being able to change the cover for different looks

Out of the box it very early and strong

For my application a late in the block type of ball when they really start getting dry is pollish then hit on spinner with 3000

This ball helps control the backend when I'm in the end of a block or lanes during league are getting tourched

The Dynamicore really gives a strong punch in the pocket even for us lower speed and rev bowlers

    Phantom

The Phantom will provide the versatility all bowlers or all abilities will love. This ball is a strong choice for any bowler because of its predictable characteristics and great ball motion off the pattern. With the ball you can play anywhere on the lane that your game dictates. I drilled mine 5 1/4 x 4 x 4. This put the pin below the fingers giving me a very smooth predictable ball motion that stays in front of me very well. When lanes transition I’m able to smooth the pattern out with this ball. This is definitely a benchmark ball and one of the best symmetrical balls I’ve had the honor to throw. The Phantom is ideal for all types of ball conditions. Feel free to email me with any questions at troy_300_1999@yahoo.com.

    Jacks of all Trades!

Posted by Michael Romero on Feb 28th 2020

The Brunswick Vintage Phantom is a must have in your bag! This ball is the jack of all trades and can be used on multiple lane conditions and angles. It is best used when you are able to keep your angles in front of you, i.e. medium to heavy oil, 360/1000 grit, as the ball is very smooth and strong at the breakpoint. The strong hit power allows the carry to maximize its potential. This is a good benchmark ball to use but this can also be a transition ball depending on your layout and surface adjustment. It is that good of a ball and gives you that type of option.

    Super Predictable

Vintage Phantom offers you a lot of control and being able to be used on many different conditions. I feel this ball is very close to Hammer Web Tour. I feel this ball plays better on other patterns than THS. Not that is can’t be used on THS. This is an excellent add to the bag for tournament bowlers.

One of the greatest and underrated balls of the vintage series, the Phantom!

One of the greatest and underrated balls of the vintage series, the Phantom. This ball is a lot stronger IMO than it has been rated in its release. I really love using this ball, and particularly using the right surface of your choice, you can use this ball to start your league with the right layout. I love the hit and continuation, and I love the consistency I see out of this ball as I see it downlane. This ball is an absolute have!

    COMMENTS

    Likes: Predictability and Versatility

    Dislikes: none

The Vintage Phantom is a great medium condition type house shot ball. This could very well be the benchmark ball for most bowlers. It excels in any situation where a smoother reaction is needed. This one likes straighter angles and will be the first ball out of the bag when controlling the friction. This Phantom also possesses some of the characteristics of the urethane balls with the ability to better open angles once the lane breaks down. Watching this it definitely reminds me of the IQ Tour type shape going down the lane. If you are looking for a ball to blend out over under reactions on league and tough sport patterns the Phantom is your answer.

    Vintage Phantom

This ball offesr control and predictability. This ball is not meant to hook the entire lane. I was concerned about the 1000 finish but I have found the only issue is if my release does not compliment the attributes of this. This ball is for medium conditions and with these conditions you can use it all day. I am more than satisfied with this ball. It meets the benchmark standard.

I had high expectations when I saw they we releasing the Vintage Phantom but this one far exceeded anything I could have imagined. This is the most versatile ball I’ve ever thrown. It is so smooth of the spot that it allows you to go straight or hook the whole lane. The Phantom comes with an industry best 4 year limited warranty, Dynamicore and DOT which allows you to put holes virtually anywhere on the ball. This ball is special for sure and will be my benchmark ball for years to come

A throuwback with cutting edge technology

Posted by Jeffrey Poholsky on Oct 31st 2019

The Vintage Phantom is in some ways a throwback ball and in others it's on the cutting edge of technology. Featuring industry leading concepts like DOT technology and DynamiCore, the performance of this ball is outstanding when an option is needed for controllability and continuation through the pins.

The low differential in this ball means that it will not flare nearly as much as most new balls; a tribute to the original Phantom. But it hits hard and goes through the pins properly to provide the bowler with maximum opportunity to strike.

For me, this ball is great on sport and tournament type patterns as it keeps me from getting into trouble with either early hook or a big flip off the the back of the pattern. You won't see either of those reactions with this ball.

It's a piece that every bowler should own, and a reaction that every arsenal needs.
