 Additional Product Information:

You will definitely feel the need for Speed! Columbia 300 brings you the new Speed. We started with the successful Power Torq and set out to create a solid asymmetric motion, perfect for a first ball out of the bag or when symmetric balls like the Power Torq are too clean. The strength of the Speed comes from the all-new cover and core combination. The new Formula 1 cover uses chemistry similar to the popular ERT formulation, but our chemists used a new additive that promotes stronger adhesion throughout the entire lane. We combined the Formula 1 cover with the new super aggressive Shifter core to ensure significantly more overall hook than the Power Torq.

Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 15 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. I drilled mine 45x4.25x30 and have been using it at box surface. The Columbia 300 Speed is designed to provide strong overall hook on heavy oil conditions. I definitely had the best reaction with mine keeping it in the oil. It is great first ball and would also work fantastic on many sport patterns because it is controllable despite being a strong hooking ball.

    Speed "No Limt"

I was in awe of the hitting power of the new Columbia 300 Speed. This ball has excellent pick up in the mid-lane due to the core and hybrid cover combo. You can't beat a reaction like that for it's price-point. This ball reads the lane nicely and fits well for lanes with medium to high-medium volumes of oil. I see myself taking this one out of my bag quite often. Many times it's not how much the ball hooks but where it hooks. There is no limit how much striking a bowler can achieve with this ball. Be sure to check out Columbia300's website for more information.

    Columbia 300 Speed

Ball is strong. Reads the mid-lane a bit early. I can move in and the ball recovers clean and strong on the backend.

    Staff Review

The Speed is a step up from the Power Torq. Compared to the Power Torq the Speed will start sooner and will be more overall hook. For a comparison to another HP ball in the Brands of Brunswick line, the Speed will be a little longer than the Track Paragon due to the hybrid cover as well as being a little bit more angular. Depending on the condition, if the Power Torq isn’t quite enough or the Paragon is too much, the Speed will fit that gap.

    Need For Speed

It had been awhile since I have thrown a Columbia 300 ball, but for some reason I was attracted to the Speed. I put my favorite pin up layout on the ball to compare it to some other strong assyms in my arsenal. It didn't take long to realize this ball had a very strong roll to it. It was 2-3 boards stronger than my Evo Solid. I liked the motion of it. For a strong engine, it didn't hook at my feet. I was able to play the heavy oil line at a recent event and it still went through the pins strong. Columbia 300 fans will like the new Speed. Especially, when the lanes play tight.

    Columbia 300 Speed

The Columbia 300 Speed is a little different shape than what I usually like to see. It picks up pretty early which usually mean the ball is using its energy early and doesn't save much left for the pins. It's not really the case for this one. The Speed, although early and smooth, does have a good amount of hitting power through the pins. This ball will be good on heavy oil or for low rev players IMO. :-)

I feel the need the need for speed

Maverick said it best I feel the need the need for Speed. Columbia has outdone themselves with the speed. This is going to be your strong hybrid asymmetrical ball. Because it’s a hybrid it also responds very well to surface change you can add lots of surface or take lots of surface away. Is Ball really loves the oil. I drilled mine 45x4.25x35. I use mine as a first ball out of the bag on heavy oil or longer patterns. I like it the most because it’s easy to get a good read of the pattern making it easy to make adjustments.

Old School C300 HP performance returns with the New Speed

Haven’t seen a ball like this from C300 since the days of The Throttle series and others. Big strong bowling core with coverstock grip to that power to the lane. The coverstock comes pretty dull out the box, which was quickly tamed down after about a game and half of league play. The more lane shine this ball gets, the more it picks up off the spot and hits like a truck!

    C300 Speed

The C300 Speed is a strong hybrid and asymmetrical bowling ball designed for heavier oil. My Speed is drilled 45 x 5 x 30. The ball reads the mid-lane and is very strong and continuous on the backend. My Speed is stronger than my Power Torq which has a similar layout in it and provides me with more overall hook. The Speed is impressive and I anticipated this ball being in my bag for quite some time. Visit your local Pro Shop Operator and inquire about the C300 Speed ASAP!!!
