Columbia 300 Top Speed Bowling Ball

The Columbia 300 Top Speed is a staple in my bag! This ball has been amazing for me during tournaments. I am presently averaging 259 with it during tournament transitions. The pearl ball reads the midlane quite well and responds off the friction even better for a strong continuation through the pins. I lightly scratched the surface with a 3000 pad and have not touched the surface since! This ball has been used on 2023 PBA Earl Anthony, Carmen Salvino, and Don Carter! I was a big fan of the Columbia 300 Speed which resulted in some honor scores during competition but WOW, this Top Speed something special. Combining the Formula 1 cover that was utilized in the Speed with the NEW HK22 additive is impressive. My Top Speed is very controllable and predictable. Out of the box I was pretty worried when the ball didn’t perform as I had hoped, but after knocking the factory polish off, Wow. This ball flat out makes the turn and continues through the pins. It doesn’t get a lot of use on the fresh but it’s a beast when the lanes start to transition and I need to open my angles. Even with my tweeter release I can really circle the lanes on the burn.

The original speed had a slower response downlane, and I was concerned with the Top Speed. However, with the new HK22 cover there nothing slow about the Top Speed. With this core and cover combo you get the best of 2 worlds. Very strong midlane and very continuous downlane motion. I really love the Hammer 3D offset Attack. Comparing both balls (Both have HK22) the Hammer Attack is cleaner and longer than the Top Speed. The Top Speed is more midlane more overall hook. They complimate each other very well. I went with a stronger pin layout at 70 x 4.25 x 20 I originally drilled the Top Speed for sport and tournament conditions, but it rolls great on both house and sport. Move in, throw it out and strike a ton. The Top speed gives long and strong motion. A shiny that really hooks in oil. Combined with the Speed this is a deadly combo. Perfect ball up or ball down combo to stay in the same area. Has great recover when wild missed shots out happen. Very forgiving. For sure goes with me everywhere.

I was in awe of the hitting power of the new Columbia 300 Speed so now include the HK22 in the same line and you get the Top Speed. This ball has the same excellent pick up in the mid-lane due to the core and cover combo as speed but much more kick in the back end. It has additional length due to the core numbers but you can't beat a reaction like that for its price-point. This ball reads the lane nicely and fits well for lanes with medium volumes of oil. Many times it's not how much the ball hooks but where it hooks. There is no limit how much striking a bowler can achieve with this ball. Do yourself a favor and order this ball TODAY! I've only thrown it a few times, but it has already made its way to the first ball out of my bag. The new HK22 cover is fantastic and gave me more length with a nice continuous look. It doesn't go as long as my Quantum Evo Pearl and doesn't have as sharp of an angle off the spot, but they compliment each other very well. My go to style is down and in with little revs and this is one of the first balls that has given me quite a bit of miss room to the right. I love it!

I am loving this ball. The new HK22 cover is fantastic. A great ball for me later in the block. To compare it to other HK22 covers: I get more length and more hook of the spot than with the Defender Hybrid. Overall hook is the same as the 3D Offset Attach, but I get about 3 feet more length with the Top Speed then the 3D Offset Attack. To compare it to other pearl reactive covers: This ball picks up faster than the Black Widow Ghost and has more overall hook.
