    You Need This Ball

This is a ball I would start with in tournament competition due to its aggressiveness and strength to create a path to the pocket. Very clean, very versatile, extremely faithful ball reaction.

    Best DV8 High Performance Yet!

Posted by Dustin Bearden on Mar 9th 2020

The DV8 Intimidator is the best high performance ball by DV8 to date. This ball absolutely masters rolling in the mid lane but still having enough power to destroy the pins. The colors are fantastic, and they bring back great memories of the person who was the OG intimidator, Dale Earnhardt. The DV8 Intimidator features the Dynamicore technology which will also help the ball finish harder through the pins. The DV8 Intimidator also features the DOT technology, and that lets you drill on over 90% of the surface. If you need a ball to contend with heavy oil lane conditions, look no further than the DV8 Intimidator. You will not be disappointed

    Strong midlane

Posted by Marc-Andre Gagne on Feb 3rd 2020

Here is the new hi performance ball for DV8, the Intimidator. This ball offers the same core as the Instigator, the Assailant. The cover is the same base as the Instigator but with some hooking additive to cover more boards. The ball features the new DOT technologie to optimize the durability and also dynamicore for better carry.

The ball comes out of the box with a 500 2000 skip sanding technique and it allows the ball to be less affected with lane shine.

Because I knew this ball was a hooking monster and wanted to use it on multiple conditions, I went with a 60 x 4 3/4 x 40 drilling.

On the lane, the ball delivers exactly what I expected. The ball roll really hard in the midlane. Compared to the Instigator and Warrant I'm 2 boards left on the approach and 1 board left at the target meanly because of the heavy roll in the mid part of the lane. Last weekend I used it on the wtba Sydney (33') around 5th board and I bowled 700 even if the pattern was really hard play. I was able to miss inside and still get some hold. I was able to play that part of the lane and get some hold because the ball was reading the midlane before to come out of the pattern. When it begun to burn up, I was able to use the Warrant and play in the same area.

For people with higher ball speed, the surface can be adjusted and you'll be able to use that ball and get advantage of the backend motion.

To conclude, if you want to have a strong ball that rolls hard in the midlane, this ball is for you.

    Power and Performance....Must Be DV8!!!

Posted by Bryan Williams, DV8 Pro Staff on Jan 31st 2020

Introducing the newest releases from DV8. Next ball up is the DV8 Warrant. The layout in this ball is 45x5x40. This ball is just incredibly smooth with continuous ball motion through the pins. DV8 is known for producing extremely strong rolling and hard hitting balls. With Dynamicore added to this ball, the Warrant is that go to ball that allows you to control the mid-lane with incredible hitting power. Another must have in your bag from DV8. Boom goes the Dynami-mite!! WOW supper impressed with the power and control

Posted by brian rigler on Jan 27th 2020

This is another ball i drilled up cause it reminded me of the original grudge and this ball is amazing. Drilled it pin down and I was able to control the the lane so well with this ball. Misses in the oil read and drove though the pins and misses right didn't jerk off the spot. The addition to dynamicore to the DV8 line has just made great ball even better. Now my comparison to the Grudge I feel like it read the mids even better then the grudge did with much better continuation through the pins this ball never quit once on me and the Dynamicore helps send the pins flying.

Big hook monster of a coverstock

Posted by Dwayne A. Jenkins on Jan 23rd 2020

DV8 Intimidator is a big, heavy, pocket crunching beast of a ball. Big hook monster of a coverstock, ball motion with superior traction in heavy oil, and with the right layout and surface can even be used on house conditions. This is a ball I would start with in tournament competition due to its aggressiveness and strength to create a path to the pocket. Very clean, very versatile, extremely faithful ball reaction. I am very moved with what my eyes have seen and the consistency in ball reaction making good shots on the lanes. The DV8 Instigator is much sharper in the backend in comparison to the Intimidator, which makes both great companions for league and tournament play, but definitely the Intimidator is the starter over the Instigator due to the strength in its coverstock formulation.

    Intimidating

Posted by Thomas Mongeon on Jan 14th 2020

    DV8 Intimidator
    Axis Tilt: 7°
    Axis Rotation: 40°
    PAP: 4 13/16 x ⅛ ^
    Speed and rev rate matched
    Layout: 70 x 5 x 35

The DV8 Intimidator is the latest high end, asymmetrical, release. It uses the Assailant core, wrapped with DynamiCore and the new Inciter Max cover. The finish out of box is 500/2000. This ball, with its bold black, purple, and white colors stand out on the lanes and the shelf. The colors make it easy to read on the lanes, you can really see this one rev up.

Compared to my Instigator (65x4.5x30), the new Intimidator is 3-4 boards stronger overall with more traction in the midlanes and a ,noticeably, stronger move on the backend. I was able to keep moving into the puddle, creating more angle to the pocket and carry the corner pins better than the Instigator. The cover stock and box surface is strong and will be a great match up for higher speeds and rev challenged bowlers. This will be in the bag every time I’m facing long or higher volume patterns. I decided to take my Intimidator up to 4000 Grit with a Siaair Pad just to see how different it would be. This gave me more skid in the heads with a big change of direction down lane. I was a big fan of the OG Grudge and see similar things from the new Intimidator. I love the colors because it looks like I doubled my rev rate, plus it looks really good on the shop walls.
