300 Out the Box….What Else is Needed to Be Said!

Posted by DV8 Notorious on Mar 8th 2019

The new DV8 Notorious is the newest heavy oil ball in the DV8 line and it definitely does not disappoint. Right out of the box with no practice with it, my first two games were 223 and 300. The ball is extremely predictably off the spot. It is very smooth down the lane and makes a very aggressive move to the pocket at the transition, but does not overreact. With the addition of the new DOT Technology and Dynamicore added, the DV8 Notorious is a definite must have in your bag. Dynamicore is a major difference maker with this bag because of its retainability of hitting power and keeping the pins low instead of the pins jumping around. The DV8 Notorious….if you don’t have one by now, you’re just not bowling!!! DV8…Tonight We Bowl! www.dv8bowling.com; #dv8bowling

    Very versatile ball

Posted by Marc-Andre Gagne on Feb 17th 2019

Here is the new upper mid ball from DV8, the Notorious. This ball features a brand new core, the Antagonist. This ball is wrapped up with the composite fang cover, the same used on the Pitbull Bite last year. This ball offers the famous dynamicore to enhance the hitting power to get near the Quantum’s one. This ball also features the brand new DOT, so the raiser pin is located underneath the ball. This technology allows you to drill wherever you want without taking care of the pin placement and wonder about the warranty.

I wanted to have a strong asymmetrical ball with some control, so I decided to go with the pin under the ring finger and the mass bias just right of the thumb hole.

On the lane this ball clears the heads pretty easily even if the cover isn’t polished because the cover is hybrid. I was also surprised about how much backend this ball got for a dull ball. Compared to the poison, I play the ball about the same but the shape is different. The Notorious has more length and backend compared to the poison. Compared to the Prowler, I play the Notorious 3 boards left with my feet and 2 boards left with my eyes. The Notorious rolls a couple feet sooner and cover more boards because of the dull surface. The first time I tried the ball, it was after a league. I was amazed buy because I was able to play the track even if there have been 3 games played. Usually, my dull stuff rolls too early and I don’t get pin carry because the ball hits flat. But with the Notorious, I was able to play the track and still get great hitting power and carry. Thanks to the hybrid cover!

The ball comes with a 3000 grit finish. But like all the other DV8 covers, the composite fang is very versatile. It can be padded with a 1000 grit or even 500 grit pad for speed dominant or when you want to play heavier patterns. If you want to add some length and a sharper backend, you can put some polish on it.

To conclude, if you want to have a very versatile ball and a ball that can clear the heads pretty easily, the Notorious is your choice.

    GREAT for Heavy Oil

Posted by Dustin Bearden on Feb 12th 2019

The DV8 Notorious handles heavy oil extremely well for me. The ball gets into the hook phase smoothly, and it will settle very good into the roll phase to help pin carry. Smooth is the best word to describe my Notorious. I feel good about the ball getting to my desired break point and always finishing smoothly into the pocket. Of course, this ball has Dynamicore. You will see a difference in pin carry with Dynamicore. The pins stay low, but travel across the deck with unusual power. I like to say that the ball increases the size of your strike zone by 2 boards. If you want a smooth ball, to battle heavy oil, the DV8 Notorious is IT!

    Long and Strong!!

Posted by Randy Dv8 on Feb 6th 2019

DOT and Dynamicore Technology for dV8 . This ball along with Mo Pinel layout gives me length through the heads and backend recovery flip. The out of box surface adds stability on inconsistent patterns!!

    Big hitter!

Posted by Ronnie Martin on Feb 2nd 2019

This ball is a beast. Very forgiving ball on a house shot or sport shot. Hits like a bulldozer and is continuous through the pins. Definitely a benchmark/stronger ball that will suite any arsenal.

Endless Possibilities with the DV8 Notorious

Posted by Dwayne A. Jenkins on Jan 27th 2019

The DV8 Notorious is a Hybrid coverstock (same formulation coverstock found in the Pitbull Bite) made for heavy oil in the high performance line with new upgrades of the new Antagonist core, new DOT technology and the newly added Dynamicore technology that Brunswick started with their brands. Other than the attractive and stunning color combos this ball has, do not underestimate the performance and power this ball has in the DV8 line. This arsenal has the same hitting factors of the Pitbull series, and can be comparable to Brunswick's Tenacity Grit. You will favor this ball in league and tournament conditions... no question! https://youtu.be/lTeq8K_H6kA
