Additional product information:

Let’s get right to it…the new Trident™ Nemesis is undoubtedly the most angular asymmetric ball ever created by MOTIV®!   It proudly features our latest Infusion™ HV (High Volume) Pearl Reactive cover technology and new Sidewinder™ asymmetric weight block design. Intended for medium-heavy oil conditions, the Trident Nemesis has impressive backend motion and powerful continuation.

The new Sidewinder™ weight block expands the MOTIV® spec range within the asymmetric category making the Trident Nemesis a very attractive ball because of the impending balance hole rule change coming in 2020. Asymmetry will give ball drillers more influence over ball motion. The Sidewinder™ design is featured in every Trident™ Nemesis from 16 down to 12 pounds.

The Infusion™ HV Pearl Reactive cover used on this Trident™ is at the forefront of innovation. With the introduction of Infusion™ Pearl Reactive cover on the Supra™, we saw more angle than ever from a MOTIV® ball. However, the Supra™ was intended for lighter oil conditions, so the task was to tune an already great cover to handle more oil without sacrificing down lane motion. After extensive testing, Infusion™ HV was developed. This cover creates more traction in the oil, yet still creates all the angle a bowler could need.

    Trident Nemesis Ball Review

Posted by Mark Wilson on May 19th 2020

The Trident Nemesis is Motiv’s newest asymmetrical pearl ball. The Trident Nemesis is fast. Very fast. When you need something as angular as the Supra but are on significantly more volume, that's where this ball thrives. The Trident Nemesis also does very well with surface change. I prefer mine with a little bit of surface/4000 grit. When comparing it to others balls in our lineup, the Trident Nemesis is longer, faster, and a touch weaker overall compared to the Forge Fire. Compared to the Golden Jackal, the Trident Nemesis gets further down lane making it better for playing steeper angles. If you are looking for a piece to get further down lane and play the friction, the Trident Nemesis would be a great grab for your arsenal. Motiv Staffer Mark Wilson

Trident Nemesis The Motiv Trident Nemesis is the newest release from Motiv in the Trident family. The Trident Abyss has become one of my favorite Heavy oil pieces and allows me the opportunity to have a ball in my arsenal that provides the traction needed when other balls just cant grip the lane. The new Trident™ Nemesis is undoubtedly the most angular asymmetric ball ever created by MOTIV! Featuring the latest Infusion™ HV (High Volume) Pearl Reactive cover technology and new Sidewinder asymmetric weight block design. It is Intended for medium-heavy oil conditions, the Trident Nemesis has impressive backend motion and powerful continuation. The new Sidewinder weight block expands the MOTIV spec range within the asymmetric category making the Trident Nemesis a very attractive ball because of the impending balance hole rule change coming next season. With my Love for the Abyss the Nemesis gave me the ability to remain in the same area of the lane without much guesswork. The extra angularity is a bonus with this piece as it allows for misses right to still make it back to the pocket. I do think this piece will be an amazing additional for all but those of us older players will love the flexibility and extra room it will allow! See your proshop operator now to pick one up! The Trident Nemesis! Before this ball was released well before any of the staffers knew it was coming we were asked "what ball are we missing" From 70/80% of us staffers we said we are missing a BIG Asym core with that supra cover. Motiv has got close to what this ball shapes like a few times but just not good enough in the past. This ball changes all of that. This ball is awesome! It's exactly what the staffers really wanted to see. We wanted that clean cover ball that could really change direction down the lane that would pair well with the supra. Brett and the Motiv team knew they had this in their back pocket all along but the staffers had no clue. This ball is stupid good. Everyone should own this ball. Its a MUST HAVE for any arsenal you have created with your Motiv products. I've shot 700+ with this ball every week I've been able to throw it. It is just as clean as the supra since they share the same cover but it hooks in a different part of the lane due to its core. Now that I'm done gushing about this ball let me give you a quick idea of how I layed this ball out. I went with my normal 5" pin to pap layout but I modified the other #'s. I moved the mass to 40 degree and the VAL to 20 degree. My goal there was creating the easy length I was already expecting but using a shorted MB angle to make sure the ball would read the lane early enough that it wouldn't miss the breakpoint. Just trust me this ball is stupid good! Check it out on my Instagram page! Trident Nemesis

The layout I used on the Trident Nemesis is 70x4x20. This bowling ball allows me to really open up my angles. The first night of league I shot 300 and 805 with it! This is a very clean and angular asymmetric ball. Comparing this ball to others, my first comparison is to the Supra. For me, I threw both at the same surface and the Nemesis is about 7 boards stronger than the Supra. My second comparison is to the Alpha Jackal. The Alpha Jackal hooked more overall for me and read the mid-lane a lot sooner. The Trident Nemesis was cleaner and a lot more angular. I believe the Trident Nemesis would be a good ball for when the Alpha Jackal starts to burn up or hook to much in a certain spot on the lane and the Supra is too weak. When seeing the name Trident on the ball, don’t think about the other Tridents. This is a completely different motion. Drew Crain Motiv Staff

The layout I used on the new Trident Nemesis is 70-4 ½-30. This ball is a great step down from the Alpha Jackal when it starts to read the lane too soon. This ball is clean through the front with plenty of angle downlane to get the corners out. It definitely has the most angle downlane of any asymmetrical ball I have ever thrown. I feel like I will be throwing this ball a lot in league this season and in tournaments when I need to ball down from the Alpha Jackal. David Hooper Jr Motiv Staff
