It's really no surprise why the PhysiX and AstroPhysiX have been wildly popular ever since their respective debuts. After all, the PhysiX offers one of the shapeliest reactions available, and the AstroPhysiX follows it up with stellar performance when the pattern opens up, and more length and backend are required. But until now, there really hasn’t been a PhysiX truly suited for heavy oil. Well, consider the problem solved! The Proton PhysiX is here to give you traction and hook on virtually any heavy oil condition imaginable.

This ball works great on many different lines and surfaces. Very smooth, strong but forgiving.
Storm Proton Physix
Cover: 2000 Grit NeX™ Solid Reactive
Weight bock: Atomic™ Core (Asymmetrical)
Wow this ball really like to hook! When I see this ball it really reminds me of the old Roto Grip ball the Defiant. A ball that like to hook a lot but it was a ball that you could control. An asymmetric ball that likes to hook while also being controllable and smooth rolling? Sign me up! This ball is great on the conditions where the lanes are just flooded with oil and you need something that can cut through the oil and create that line for you to score. This ball defensibly fits into the Physix line and will be used by all bowlers for a variety of reasons ranging from needing a ball that just creates more reaction for them or for those tournament bowlers that need a ball to get through heavy oil conditions. Now that we covered the ball’s performance I should mention that the colors and smell of this ball make it that much more appealing and really allows this ball to pop in terms of standing out.

Proton Physix - Ball Specs
Cover Stock: NEX Solid Reactive Cover Stock
Finish: 2000 Grit
Core: Atomic Core
Intermediate Diff: .017
The Proton Physix is newest addition to the popular Physix’s line. This is first Physix designed to handle heavy oil, with the Nano Extreme Solid Reactive Cover Stock and Atomic Core. As expect with strong cover the Proton Physix’s read early, but surprisingly had a lot of energy on the backend for a continuous motion with great pin carry. This ball will definitely be in my bag for heavier and longer oil patterns. Ball was tested on PBA Shark Pattern 48 feet; I was able to play track area with great success. Super strong ball, just what I needed
i had both the Physix and the astro physix so getting the proton drilled up was a no brainer. The proton physix is the newest big dull asym from storm. It has the NEX cover that makes it read the midlane very well and have that strong continuous motion. This ball is good for any rev player. Don't miss out on the 3rd ball in the physix's line.
Ball works amazing on fresh oiled lanes, so I am sure that tournament’s would be great for this Ball. I am a 194 avg bowler and I shot a 263 and 243 directly out of the box with a high pin between 12 and 1 o’clock. Dry lanes are a no go.
Great ball. Has good length through the lanes and very aggressive through the back ends. Great ball for mid to oily lanes
Wait there’s another Physix coming out?! Yes that’s right, the brand new Proton Physix! This ball is a great compliment to the original, being that the cover is slightly stronger on this new release. So, you can use this Proton Physix even before you pull out the original Physix. It will be perfect for heavier oil conditions, both sport and house shots! If you are a fan of the Roto Grip UFO, you will also like this ball because the two are very comparable. Many times this will be the first ball out of the bag, and it will allow you control when your other balls are not seeing the right spot or shooting too far down the lane. The pink colors on this Proton Physix also increase the shelf appeal and overall beauty of the ball!
