The Brunswick Melee Jab SE is a special ball. This ball is crazy clean through the front part of the lane but once it sees friction wow does this ball turn off the spot. I’ve been really enjoying using this ball in league and later on sport conditions. A must in your bag when the lanes start to dry up. I feel this ball is a good compliment to the Brunswick Prism Hybrid as a ball down scenario.

The Melee Jab has quite the punch

The Brunswick Melee Jab is the third installment in the Melee line and it is the first to have a pearlized coverstock. The new Savvy Hook Pearl reactive cover comes from the factory finished with a 500 pad followed by Royal Compound. This finish on the pearl cover allows this ball to glide down the lane with no effort. I had my best reaction with the Melee Jab on a medium pattern. The Jab easily gets down the lane before making its moves at the back end. This ball gets better as the front of the lane starts to hook more. With each shot, the Jab was able to have more length and very predictable break point. This is a must have ball in your bag when you need controllable ball motion.

The Kobe Bryant of bowling balls

Strong but smooth. The Melee Jab SE is a strong but super controllable pearl that rolls incredible on any medium to to low oil patterns. I find it to be a great compliment to my Hero when I need something to be just a little quicker off the spot but not as early at my Prism Hybrid. This ball keeps the pins low and Dynamicore helps carry those off hits. I love dark colored bowling balls and this deep purple pearl is no difference. It has quickly become one of my favorites.

This ball is called "special edition" for a reason.

Very smooth, very angular piece. This ball is called "special edition" for a reason. Ball goes very long down lane, but you know just by the ball motion when it's going to make its move at the breakpoint, and is very clean through the pocket. One of the best since the original.

    Clean and long

This ball gets a better reaction when you can play up the boards in the front part of the lane. Skids a long ways and has a great breakpoint to the hole.
Once you start moving deeper in the pattern and crossing boards you get more unpredictable shots and reactions.

    Brunswick Melee Jab SE

This is pretty close in reaction to the original Jab that I owned before it cracked. This has a pin below lay out and pretty much a tame drilling. This will be a ball that I will use for transition and when the lanes break down. I can see this being used on medium house and sport shots. All in all a pretty consistent reaction not to jumpy something you can use when you are looking for a stronger bench mark reaction.

    Melee Jab SE

Purchased this ball for a very wet dry house shot. Drilled with pin on axis and MB under the thumb. Shot 300 the first game I used it and 791 for the first week.

    Super versatile!!!

This is the best symmetrical polished ball I own. Drilled 2 one for length and backend . One for early and smooth. Very reliable and predictable.
The cover stock is easily adjustable. Dynamicore is awesome I can see the added hitting power!
