Additional product information:

Hellcat was a top performer in the DV8 line last year, and we’re accelerating the DV8 line once again with the Hellcat XLR8! DV8 fans loved the Hellcat because it was a big asymmetric that did not lose energy, and the Hellcat XLR8 has even more motion on the backend. The combination of Maximum Havoc Solid, 1500 grit Siaair, and the Hell Raiser D.O.T. core will give you plenty of traction on any oily lane condition and impressive continuation through the pins. XLR8, your scores today with the new Hellcat!

    Hellcat XLR8

I drilled mine 30 X 4 X 55. The DV8 Hellcat XLR8 is the perfect high-performance asymmetric for heavy oil lane conditions. The Hell Raiser D.O.T. core is paired with the Maximum Havoc solid cover. With a 1500-grit Siaair factory finish, the Hellcat XLR8 will provide a strong mid-lane and backend reaction. It is very smooth, predictable, and continuous through the pins. It does not quit like some other big balls. The Hellcat XLR8 might be a sleeper pick for ball of the year.

    Strong strong strong

If you are having trouble with heavy oil or even just want a little more hook, look no further, the XLR8 is a strong ball that loves oil! I have mine drilled up with maxed out flair potential to not be phased by oil. It is a little too strong to use during leagues for me but a great addition to my tournament bag for sure. I recommend this ball to anyone that needs more hook or bowl on sport shots.

    HELLCAT XLR8

What a Monster this ball is. The coverstock really makes this ball come to life.. it begs to be throw on Heavy oil. I did my favorite drill 45x4.5x40. Threw on THS and it started up way too early, not enough conditioner on the lanes, even with the ball doing this, the ball had 7 to 8 inch Flare. Anyone looking for a Heavy Oil ball take a look at this one. Contact you local PSO for assistance

    DV8 Hellcat XLR8

The DV8 Hellcat XLR8 comes as advertised, it hooks. Out of box I compared it with my Track Archetype and my Brunswick Mindset which are the current 2 big pieces in my arsenal. The Hellcat XLR8 was more by at least 4 & 2 over those two. This is going to be your heavy oil/ long oil ball for sure. It reads early but still has power at the pins. It does not quit like some other balls that might hook early like that. The flare rings were crazy going almost all the way around the ball. For me, I don't see using this on house shots very often but for speed dominant players or low rev players I could see this ball working very well on a THS. Personally, I think this ball will be in play early on any sport pattern over 42' or if there is a high volume of oil. I drilled this with my standard 65 x 3-1/2 x 25. I cruise around 16.5 MPH and have a rev rate around 420. If you like to see the ball hook, the Hellcat XLR8 is for you.

Stronger and Cleaner than the Original Hellcat!

Posted by Bryan L. Williams, PBA and DV8 Pro staff on Jul 26th 2023

DV8 has done it again! DV8 has taken the proven Hellraiser core and wrapped it in the new Maximum Havoc coverstock and created the new Hellcat ELR8! The new Hellcat ELR8 is much stronger than the original Hellcat, but much cleaner through the heads. The Hellraiser core allows any bowler to create a more angular reaction in the backends. This ball works exceptionally well on heavy oil and flatter oil patterns. I drilled this ball with a 45x4x35 layout to provide continuous ball motion through the oil and dynamic hitting power through the pins. If you are looking for a very strong asymmetrical ball, look no further than the new DV8 Hellcat XLR8.
