Additional product information:
Two ball launches can be pretty predictable; usually, it’s a solid and a pearl with the same core and cover; it’s a formula that has worked forever. We wanted to be different this time, so we thought outside the box and threw standard convention to the wind. We are excited to introduce the Obsession and the Obsession Tour.
This is a two-ball launch, both having a solid cover; the difference is the core. The Obsession and Obsession Tour have the same core shape; however, the Tour edition differential is .016 points lower, creating less flare, less hook, and a more controllable reaction compared to the regular Obsession. While the covers are both solid, they are different, the Obsession has a new strong formula called Envy Solid CFI, where we’ve gone back to infusing the shell with carbon fiber. The Obsession Tour uses an updated version of the Tour cover found on the Web Tour balls.

Great Heavy Oil Ball!
The Obsession is Hammer’s heavy oil ball. It goes a little longer than the Redemption Solid, but has more overall hook. Compared to the Obsession Tour, the Obsession had a stronger response to friction. On a typical house shot, I was about 2 to 3 boards left of where I was with the Obsession Tour. I also felt more confident playing a tighter inside line with the regular Obsession as it made the corner in the oil and carried despite my average rev rate. If you are rev-challenged and dealing with medium to heavy oil, this ball would be an excellent addition to your arsenal because of its hook potential.

Monster among men
Hammer Obsession, this is going to be that Big Engine Ball. Currently the strongest ball in the Hammer Line. This ball is the monster among men with a RG of 2.46, Diff of .050 which means it will slice though any heavy oil pattern. I drilled mine 45x4.5x35 same as my Obsession tour. The difference was it would pick up about a foot soon and finish hard on the backend where the tour was just smooth and continuous. This ball will be in both the tournament bag and league bag as the heavy oil ball.

70 x 2 ¼ x 35 – PAP 4 ½ -> and ½^ - Speed – 15mph – Rev Rate 380
I have not tried a high end performance hammer ball in a while because I was always stuck on the throwback upper-mid performance. I decided to short pin this ball because of the strong numbers, strong cover and being a solid. My first 16 frames in league with this ball were 10 pin, 10 pin, and then the next 14 strikes after making an adjustment. I still ended up with a good series after that but the lanes were breaking down different from normal so I had to work through the transition. I should have changed balls because this ball is strong and needed more oil. I would recommend for heavy oiled patterns, also this ball rolls very strong and very little deflection through the pins.

My new Obsession!!
The Obsession by Hammer is a big, asymmetrical ball that is for heavy oil or longer patterns. On your THS, I found the Obsession is pretty clean up front, starts digging in the mids, and offers a strong change of direction, off the pattern with a continuous motion through the deck.

Obsessed!
I have found this to be another great benchmark ball. Smooth and even rolling, demolishing all the pins in its path. Together with the Obsession Tour, these are great pieces to have in your arsenal for medium/medium heavy oil patterns.

Obsession
Heavy oil? Long patterns? Look no farther then the Hammer Obession. This ball has an aggressive midlane read with strong backend to get thru the heaviest of volumes.

Hammer Obsession
Hammer's all new Obsession is exactly what you need heading into tournament season! This is going to be your ideal heavy oil ball with some versatility as transition starts to happen. With plenty of units, this can be your game block ball, but if the midlane starts to go towards the drier end, the ball may lose energy downlane. I drilled mine 55 x 4 1/2 x 35 at 1000-grit surface, this ball has made me look good so many times! I can't wait for more bowling alleys to open up and to get more good use out of this ball!

Get Obsessed!!!
This ball is the XXXXXX!!!!!! I love this ball!! I am about 15 games into it and I am averaging about 250 on SPORT Patterns with it! This ball does not quit! You can get extremely far left with it before you see any type of skip or roll out! And even when you do, you can change to the Obsession Tour. I have nothing but good things to say about this ball. Before I threw this asymetric, my fav was the Prism Hybrid. This one may beat that ball out as my favorite asym!
