I purchased this ball for the nights when the lanes are playing uncommonly slick. I had Buddies put a 4x4x2 layout on it. Had I known how strong this ball was going to be I might have went a little less aggressive. Out of the box it is a hook monster. Factory finish is very dull. To look at it you may think 1000 or even 1500 grit though they claim it to be at 3000 grit. I ended up taking mine to my local pro shop where we put in the Haus machine and wet sanded it to 3000 Sair which shined it up a lot (it actually look like a 3000 grit ball). After that we hit it with a little polish and man did this ball come alive. Still a hook monster but very controllable. As matter a fact it is awesome on the fresh. With the new finish I also have to say it is very versatile as it respond to hand changes, angle changes and speed changes in a very predictable manner. I highly recommend this ball but keep in mind you may have to alter the surface to make it what you want.
