Mod-1 and GSV-1 Pearl have teamed up to bring you the Choice Pearl. It's great color pales in comparison only to its incredible performance. With easy length through the front of the lane on medium to heavy oil conditions, Choice Pearl will see friction and flip hard downlane with explosive pin action. Winning is the only choice, so make it.

GSV-1 Pearl - The GSV-1 coverstock is the next generation of the most trusted and proven covers in bowling, our GB series. It is a brand new coverstock formulation that has opened many new doors and given Ebonite the possibility to take ball motion to the next level.

Mod-1 Core - We have taken the Centrex Symmetrical Mass Bias core shape from THE ONE and modified the shape, which lowered the Intermediate Differential to allow for easier length through the front part of the lane and better continuation down lane.

    Make the right CHOICE

Posted by Dennis Powell on Oct 28th 2019

The Choice Pearl is the second Ebonite ball to use the asymmetrical Mod-1 core design. While the original Choice used the GSV-1 Hybrid cover with a dull box finish, this Choice has a polished pearlized coverstock. Its GSV-1 Pearl cover is finished with 1000 Abralon and polished with Powerhouse Factory Finish Polish. This cover and surface finish combination provides very easy length through the front, allowing the Choice Pearl to retain lots of energy and power for the breakpoint and back end. On a fresh house shot I saw the Choice Pearl offer more length and a sharper move off the breakpoint than the Impact. Thanks to its length and downlane hook, the Choice Pearl matched up best to my medium oil pattern. This ball’s big kick off the breakpoint allowed me to get more pins going across the deck from its increased angle through the pocket. I could stay straighter up the outside part of the lane, crossing the second arrow and getting my ball out to the eight board before seeing a big change of direction when it came out of the pattern.

    The Choice Pearl

The Choice Pearl is a strong asymmetrical in the line which is a nice looking ball that finishes through the pins a little more than the Choice an earlier Ebonite release. This ball is a little cleaner than the Verdict Pearl but with a slightly stronger backend motion. The Choice for a strong asymmetric is a must in your bag for those medium oil lane conditions you may occur frequently in today’s game….. get yours today and make the right Choice!

Ebonite has done it again! The new Choice pearl packs a punch. It gives you that same ball motion that made the original Choice such a great ball just a little cleaner and a little bit more pop down lane. When my choice is starting to burn up just a little to quick this ball makes it such an easy transition to get the same motion I have been striking with! And those Colors! This ball just looks so good going down the lane. Make the right Choice and go get yourself a Choice Pearl.

    Choice Pearl Review

The Choice Pearl is a big asymmetric ball that I decided to drill like the demo ball layouts (Pin above bridge and MB in the thumb), and I'm very impressed so far. I typically don't find this type of ball useful because they are too straight in oil, and too erratic off the burn but this one is the exception. I have been able to open up a variety of lane patterns with this ball and it has been my go-to when I need to move in and really hook it! Check this one out!
