  • Factory Finish: 5500 Grit LSP
  • Flare Potential: Low

The pearl Freestyle Rush was given a differential boost and new shell to provide more shape down lane than the original Freestyle balls.  Designed for light oil conditions, the Freestyle Rush gives bowlers more angle and greater continuation.

The new Agility™ LFP (Low Friction Pearl) Reactive cover retains more energy in high friction environments so it can deliver a stronger response down lane.  The turquoise and purple pearl cover is tuned at the factory with a 5500 Grit LSP finish to further retain energy and compliment the intent of the cover stock.

The core in the Freestyle Rush is the same Recon shape, but the 14# - 16# weight blocks have been given a performance boost.  The 15# model is now a 2.60 RG with .030 differential.  This increased differential increases the flare potential to provide stronger motion at the backend of the lane.

Freestyle Rush Review

Bowler Stats: Rev Rate – 425 Ball Speed – 17 mph (down-lane) PAP – 3 ½ over, ¾ up Right-handed Test Environment: Fresh 42’ THS Review: The Freestyle Rush is an incredible compliment to the original Freestyle for when lanes are drier or in scenarios where lighter volumes of oil are used. I noticed the cleanliness through the front part of lane. However, the backend shape is more angular than original Freestyle. Pending on the pattern being played on, the Rush is a great go-to as the pattern begins to blend. Not only is it good-looking going down the lane, it has the hitting power and continuation through the pins like any other ball in the MOTIV line. Likes: Predictable Reaction Clean Through the Heads Versatile Cover Dislikes: None Summary: The Freestyle Rush is an unbelievable compliment to quite a few pieces in the current lineup. For the lighter conditions, the Rush can easily be the ball to use for longer blocks of bowling. While more responsive than the original Freestyle, the backend shape is very controllable although mildly angular. The Freestyle Rush overall reaction and cover combination definitely keeps moves simple and smaller as lanes transition. Darryl Carreon MOTIV Staff / Bowlifi / PBA Member

Motiv-Fereestyle Rush

Freestyle- Rush So who doesn’t love a lower price point piece that provides everything you should expect from a high performance ball? I know I do! The pearl Freestyle Rush is a boost from the original freestyle line to provide more down lane shape while also adding the additional continuation we have all come to love from the Motiv product line. The Freestyle Rush retains energy in high friction environments while retaining its energy longer for powerful continuation through the pins. This ball is a great compliment to the new Motiv Tank Rampage in that natural progression as the lanes transition to high friction progression. The price point definitely makes this ball attractive as it provides that light oil piece for a price everyone can afford. The added differential provides a greater flare potential which in turn provides a stronger back end reaction usually reserved for higher performance rated pieces. This ball is definitely a piece to have and will definitely fall into your light oil progressions! The Free Style Rush is a must have ball – get yours today! Feel the Rush
By: Adam Chase, Motiv Staff on May 25, 2017

The Freestlye Rush is the newest ball in the Entry Level/Light oil category with Motiv. Compared to the original Freestyle, the Rush has a new coverstock which is more continuous and more aggressive so it can be used for a much longer period on light oil. The blue/Purple really stand out on the lanes and has much better shelf appeal. For those looking for a light oil ball or looking to get an entry level reactive ball from Motiv, this is the one for you!

Freestyle Rush | #Wininstyle YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVLxcuUrl1Y Description: The Freestyle Rush is MOTIV’s latest release in the entry-level category. It will again utilize the proven Recon Core, but with the new Agility LFP (Low Friction Pearl) Reactive Coverstock. This cover is a modified version of the same coverstock used on the Graffiti Tag. The purple and teal provide great shelf appeal at an entry-level price point! Reaction: The Freestyle Rush will be in play when you want a ball that can get down the lane, yet still have some recovery without being too angular. As far as shape goes, it is controllable and although it is very continuous, it never changes directions too fast. This ball is ideal on patterns that just flat out hook or late in blocks for tournament bowlers. In my first few sessions, I tried using it in league on a typical house shot and I was surprised how straight I was able to play and just bump the track area, but was even more impressed with my carry percentage. Although strength wise it does fit in the entry-level category, which is important, I did not feel it lacked performance. Comparisons: To give you some comparisons the Octane Carbon is overall stronger and responds to friction faster. When the Carbon Octane is just too much ball or just too strong down lane the Freestyle Rush is an ideal fit. Now compared to the original Freestyle it is a little cleaner, but not much, and is not quite as even throughout the lane. The Freestyle Rush provides more continuation than the original, but in terms of total hook the Freestyle Rush edges out the original Freestyle. I think the Freestyle Rush is an upgraded version and different option from the original. Summary: I would recommend the Freestyle Rush to anyone who is looking to purchase a quality ball at a very affordable price. Those who have liked the Ascent series or the original Freestyle will really like the upgrade on this release! Mike Magolan MOTIV | Turbo | Boom Apparel | Genesis Staff Member
