Finally, the Venom Shock Pearl (VSP) has arrived! Featuring our new Hexion cover and a dual density weight block, the VSP is the perfect complement to the original solid edition, which is one of the most popular MOTIV balls ever because it is so versatile on light to medium oil.

The Top Gear™ weight block gives the Venom Shock Pearl a low RG and low differential similar to the original solid ball, yet its dual density structure provides a more angular backend motion.

To provide easy length and a fast response to friction, a new Hexion MFP (Medium Friction Pearl) Reactive cover is utilized on the VSP.  At the factory, the Purple Pearl cover stock is tuned with a 5500 Grit LSP finish to boost the performance attributes of MOTIV’s Hexion technology.

Rev dominant bowlers will be pleased to find great length and angle from the Venom Shock Pearl.  Similarly, bowlers currently using the solid edition will now have an outstanding complementary ball for that third game when the oil pattern is broken down.

Venom Shock Pearl Review
By: Darryl Carreon on April 10, 2018

I compared my Venom Shock Pearl to none another than the original Venom Shock. The Venom Shock Pearl immediately displayed how much cleaner through the front part it is. On the fresh house shot, it is unbelievable how well it performs for me. With the low RG core inside wrapped with the Hexion cover, the ability it has to read into the friction early AND have a very controlled, angular reaction is unreal. The 1-2 combination with the original Venom Shock can go either way – if the VSP needs a little earlier motion, the Venom Shock can help blend it out. If the Venom Shock can’t quite make the corner at the breakpoint, the VSP will. It's Versatile across the lane, with a controlled, angular motion. This Hexion Cover technology added with one of the most popular balls ever, there is nothing not to like about the Venom Shock Pearl. For some, especially the avid tournament player, a little additional surface will have unlimited uses for it. The performance that the VSP brings is going to be impactful for quite a while. The Venom Shock Pearl has earned a spot in my bag everywhere I go. Darryl Carreon | MOTIV Staff | PBA Member

Venom Shock Pearl

Venom Shock Pearl So who doesn’t love the Venom Shock? Not anyone who has tried it that’s for sure! Building off possibly one of the best Motiv balls ever the new Venom Shock Pearl (VSP) brings an incredibly versatile performance ball in a pearlized version. The incredible added length of a pearl coverstock combined with proven performance adds up to something special. I still use and love my Venom Shock so adding a pear version has definitely provided me with a one two punch over long block tournaments. I have drilled 2 of these in my favorite pin up and pin down layouts – the pin up version provides me with extended length while the pin down version helped to tame down some of the angular motion making it a very good option for medium to lighter oil conditions while still allowing me to play a little tighter line in the oil pattern. I am typically an inside out player so I like to stay in and our league THS is in.. this piece really lets me stay in the oil pattern and allows me unlimited flexibility over the entire set. If your looking for a ball that gives you options on a THS or even late block on sport pattern events this is definitely a piece you want in your bag! The VSP – Get your today! Shockingly Good

The new Venom Shock Pearl compliments that Original Venom Shock perfectly! The proven Hexion cover was put on this ball while staying with the original gear core. This combination is awesome! I drilled mine 60 x 4.5 x 70 with a light 1000 abralon grit on the surface. Even with the 1000 surface, this ball is still very clean through the front part of the lane and I never had to deal with the ball grabbing too early as the lanes transitioned. Compared to the original venom shock, the pearl is much cleaner through the front part of the lane but still has that great continuation the Original Shock is known for. The best part of this ball is how low the pins stay when the ball enters the pocket. This feature maximizes carry and this ball certainly doesn't disappoint! Adam Chase Motiv Staff
