Heavy oil? No problem for the Prism Solid. This ball blew me away on so many levels. First of all it has such a strong cover, I thought it would burn up right away, but it gets through the front part of the lanes really well. Its responsiveness off the friction demonstrates its ability to hold its power, and releases a strong move through the pin deck. This may be one of the strongest bowling balls I’ve used. I haven’t been able to use it much, as I haven’t bowled on many conditions where the oil volume has been on the heavy side. I’ve had success using it early in league, or on longer sport patterns. This is an impressive ball for heavy oil conditions. If you’re a bowler looking for a little help when the lanes are oily, this ball is for you. Or if you’re like me with a moderate rev rate and ball speed, it allows you to get in where the high rev players are playing and create great ball motion to attack the lanes. This Prism Solid is such an aggressive bowling ball that allows you to miss target right but still can come back and strike in the pocket . Loving this ball so much and it is getting close to be 300 as it is the bowler (ME) needs to work on execution. But if you have the Hybrid, make sure to get this one too to compliment each other.
This ball is pretty much what you need when the Hybrid starts to lose friction and the transition begins to be noticeable. I had this ball drilled pin up with a little early hook to be semi-aggressive and still gives you that strong back end. I can't imagine why you won't get this ball unless your bowling style doesn't need a strong aggressive ball. Other than that, delivery was on time and can't wait to use this when tournaments come around.

The Prism Solid is the strongest and earliest hooking ball in the Brunswick lineup to date. It starts reading the lane fairly early but maintains axis rotation very well for a strong ball. This Prism makes a much bigger move at the breakpoint then you would think based on the amount of surface out of the box. Slicker lane conditions are no match for this ball. It allowed me to play 4th arrow easily on our fresh house shot. The pin carry with Dynamicore was very good as well. If you are looking for a great heavier oil ball you must check out the Prism Solid!
