Additional product information:
The new solid purple Venom Shock produces a violent reaction on light to medium oil conditions. It attacks the lane with the proven Gear™ weight block and new cover technology – Turmoil™ MFS (Medium Friction Solid) Reactive, which is a modified version of the more aggressive shell featured on the Covert Revolt. This core and cover combination provides a smooth yet angular backend motion that strikes with devastating continuation.
As far as shelf appeal, the Venom Shock does not disappoint. The vibrant orange logo really pops off the purple shell. And, for those that are into glow-in-the-dark bowling, the logos on the ball glow orange and green.
The Venom Shock really does have it all – performance, looks, and a great price point. The most shocking thing about this ball may be that you get such outstanding performance at such an affordable price!

Motiv Shock
I've used the Shock twice now, so i feel I can give a better review. The first time was on a slightly used house shot, the second was on a plastic house ball destroyed house shot. The Shock was solid on the first shot getting through the heads without a problem, then finding the dry, absolutely turning over hard on the back end and then drilling the pocket. I played a few different angles and the Shock responded from everywhere. There were times I swung the ball a little too far outside and thought it had no chance to get back to the pocket, but back it came. On the second shot I started with my Ebonite Vital Sign which was polished. It would not turn over with all the carrydown. I then pulled out the Shock which I had slightly touched with a used 4000 grit abrolan pad. The Shock went through the heads with ease and then rolled through the carrydown like it wasn't there. I have owned a ton of balls during my time bowling, but never had one like this and at this price point. I now know why Motiv has been making this ball for so long. I just wonder what took me so long to buy one.
