Hammer Bubblegum Vibe
Recently, I was able to punch up 2 new Hammer Bubblegum Vibes. Vibes have ALWAYS had a place in my bag ever since Hammer introduced the first Vibe (Purple Pearl Vibe) in 2004. Anyway, the new Bubblegum Vibe features the identical hourglass shape symmetric core wrapped by a hot pink HK-22 CT Max Pearl cover. Box finish is Factory Compound over 2000 Siaair. I drilled this one with my favorite pin down layout, 60 x 5 x 70 and I went over the ball with a 4000 Siaair pad on the spinner. I've always trusted Vibes for a medium to lighter volume pattern symmetric core ball option. For whatever reason, the Vibe core/cover combination Hammer has made over the years has matched up well with my game. At first blush, the Bubblegum Vibe will be no exception. For comparison purposes, I took out the last 3 Vibe releases...the 2022 Ocean Vibe, the 2023 Radioactive Vibe and the 2024 Arctic Vibe. They are all drilled with the exact same layout and I went over each of them with a 4000 Siaair pad so they would have the same surface. I was bowling on mostly fresh THS. The difference in motion among the various Vibes is evident. The Radioactive Vibe, for me, was the slowest response Vibe of all of them. I think the greatest length was with the Ocean Vibe. The Arctic and Bubblegum are pretty close but to my eye, the Bubblegum has a bit quicker and stronger response off the spot. Admittedly in the videos I shot for my Facebook page, I threw the Bubblegum Vibe about 2 right of the other Vibes but even on shots where I placed the Bubblegum Vibe on top of the Arctic Vibe, the Bubblegum Vibe showed a sharper and stronger response downlane. If you liked previous Vibes, you'll definitely like this one. Again, I believe the best use of the Bubblegum Vibe will be for medium to lighter volume patterns or broken down patterns and I believe that many styles of bowlers can effectively use this Vibe. Plus…it’s just a great looking bowling ball! The Hammer Bubblegum Vibe is available right now...see your local pro shop for more information!
