Start by finding a bowling ball with a track, or a fresh oil line on the ball.
Trace the track closest to the holes, and follow that tracking line around the ball. trace-track.jpg

First mark your grip line. Then find the center of your grip, and draw a line perpendicular to your grip line.
Lay the Armidillo on the ball, while finding the track ring that most closely matches the track line you have drawn on the ball. Mark the point on the Armidillo axis locator. armidillo.jpg

Draw a line from the spot found with Armidillo perpendicular to center of grip line. This is your VAL (Vertical Axis Line). Measure from the point found with Armidillo up or down to the center of grip line. In this case it is 3/4 of an inch up.

Measure from the center of your grip over to the VAL. This is your Axis distance. In this case 5 1/2.

The PAP for this bowler is:
5 1/2
UP 3/4
