900 Global Cove
900 Global released a pair of complementary balls at the same time - the Cove and Ember. Both of the balls share the same Magna AI core, but The Cove is has the Reserve Blend 85 Hybrid cover finished at 4000 Grit. Personally, I found the 4000 grit a little bit too clean and initially scratched it up with a used 1500 pad and completely changed the reaction of the ball. In all likelihood, I’m going to keep it at 2000-3000 to put a bigger separation between the Cove and Ember. The rougher surface will get the Cove to read the lane a bit sooner and smooth it out some. All in all, the Cove and Ember will make a great 1-2 punch, starting with the Cove and moving to the Ember as the lanes break down. Cove ball review by S.McIntire
Introducing the 900 Global Cove with the all-new symmetric Magna A.I. Core and hybrid reactive coverstock. This ball is ideal for medium to heavy oil conditions when you need smooth and continuous ball motion. I am slightly speed dominant, rev challenged 220-250ish, low tilt and high rotation. I drilled mine 40 x 4.5 x 20. My axis point is 4 3/8 over 1 3/8 up. I love this ball for medium oil conditions. This ball is clean but reads the midlane well and gives me an even and continuous motion. This is the perfect house shot league ball that I can stay right with in the games 1 and 2 of league. Cove = Smooth
The Cove was one of the balls from the 900 Global dual release back in August along with the Ember. Both balls have the same all-new symmetric Magna A.I. Core. On the 15# ball, the RG 2.49 is in the middle (not high or low) and the Dif is 0.044 which is on the lower end of middle. The Cove features the all-new rapid oil absorption rate Reserve Blend 85 Hybrid Reactive cover. Based on 900 Global’s coverstock numbering system, that makes it stronger than the Zen 25 (RB 83) and weaker than the Origin Ex (RB 89). What does all this mean? The Cove sits squarely in the medium/middle range. It’s a middle of the bag symmetrical. I’d say it’s similar to Rockstar. It comes with 4000 factory finish, but appears to be versatile. If you want it to pick up a little earlier, sand it up a little. If you want it to be a little cleaner, let it lane shine or put some polish on it. Either way, the word that best describes it is smooth. I drilled mine with the pin under my middle finger which is 5” from my PAP. It feels like it’s better keeping your angles a little more square. If you want to open up a lot, you probably need something cleaner with more backend (Ember ?!?) or even more Dif. The color of the Cove can be polarizing. At first, I wasn’t wild about the bright lime green. But once I heard it referred to as the sherbet ice cream ball, it grew on me. Bottom line, if you are looking for a smooth middle of the bag symmetrical ball, you should consider punching up a Cove.

900 Global Cove
Layout: 40 x 4 3/8 x 35 The Cove is a ball that every bowler should have in their bag – it is controllable, smooth, and has all the qualities of a great benchmark bowling ball. The Cove is right at home on medium to medium-heavy patterns, and has a smooth arc reaction. It doesn't have a ton of midlane, which if it did would push it more into the heavy oil ball category. Instead, it is clean enough to still be usable when the lanes break down. This ball is a perfect step down from the Sublime Focus or Phaze 2, both of which have quite a bit more midlane traction.

900 Global Cove
900 Global released 2 new pieces this month. The Hybrid version is the Cove. I drilled my Cove 4 3/4 x 4 x 2 standard pin up drilling that I like to use for my symmetrical bowling balls. 1st impressions were very smooth reaction and very controllable. Reminds me of a ball down from the RG Rock Star. Great ball for the 1st game of league or on the fresh sport pattern. With my roll, I could use it for the 1st couple of games of league but when I had to chase it left it was having trouble getting the corners out. But Team Utah has a lot of choices to use when we get left. (Storm Ion Solid). Great shelf appeal and great medium ball to have in your arsenal. Cove
The 900 Global Cove has quickly become one of my favorite benchmark pieces in the current lineup because of how smooth and reliable it is on medium to heavier conditions. Compared to the Zen 25, the Cove is noticeably more controlled and rounded off the spot, giving me a motion I can trust when I don’t want the extra pop or flare the Zen brings. Against the Origin EX, the Cove feels like a clear step down in overall strength, which makes it the perfect option once the stronger covers start reading too early or getting too jumpy. I really like how it pairs with the Ember as well—the Ember gives me that cleaner, more angular look, while the Cove blends everything out and keeps me in the pocket. For me, the Cove fills that ideal first-ball-out-of-the-bag role, reading the lane early enough to give control but still continuous enough to carry when the lanes transition.

900 Global Cove
900 Global Cove Ball Review Layout-5x4x2 Surface-3000 Grit Abralon RG-2.49 Differential-.044 The Cove features the new Magna AI core wrapped around the RB 85 Hybrid coverstock. The Cove will create a smooth but continous backend. The Cove is a symmetric core with a hybrid coverstock. I feel like the Cove will be a great option on fresh oil when you need your ball to pick up but still control the fresh backends. The Cove won't be as strong as your bigger asymmetrical balls. So it will fall in the middle of your arsenal. The Cove and Ember were designed to compliment each other to give you a 1-2 punch. https://www.facebook.com/reel/744385005251195

Smooth & Controllable
The Cove has a motion that has been missing in my bag for a while. Smooth, controllable, and a tad early. Perfect ball for game 1 during league. Not to mention, the color scheme of this ball is amazing - reminds me of a sandy lagoon. Ball will get a lot of use from me! 5/5.

Such is the case with their new releases of the Cove and Ember! In this review, let’s take a closer look at the Cove and how its symmetric Magna A.I. Core and RB85 Hybrid Coverstock cultivate the outstanding performance any bowler could ask for, at a mid-level price that dominates the competition. From my first roll with the Cove, I found the all-new symmetric Magna A.I. Core to be smooth-rolling, stable, and, most importantly, vigorously predictable off the pattern for my older, low-rev hand. Yet, the Magna A.I. Core doesn’t stop there. With the added A.I. Core technology wrapped around the Magna Core, I found my Cove to have a powerful punch at the pins and a relentless continuation that made striking that much easier, enjoyable, and fun. I further discovered that the Magna A.I. Core provides the Cove with a well-balanced rolling motion, making it a dependable workhorse that will deliver results for any straighter player, like me. The icing on the cake for me about the Cove was the outstanding Reserve Blend (RB85) Hybrid Coverstock. As an older, straighter, and low-rev player, Hybrid coverstocks suit my game best, especially on a THS. The RB85 Hybrid on the Cove is the perfect blend of solid and pearl, providing me with the predictable balance of consistency and aggressiveness I love to have in my arsenal. I loved how the RB85 Hybrid clears the front part of the lane with ease, regardless of the changing conditions you see during league play. Furthermore, I could count on the RB85 Hybrid to consistently read the mid-lane with its smooth, dependable traction and without depleting the Cove’s energy. So, when the Cove comes off the pattern, it has that crisp and sharp punch we straighter players like to see, especially when we hit high-flush! So, if you’re a straighter player, you can count on the RB85 Hybrid coverstock to deliver results. In conclusion, 900 Global has done an outstanding job in creating and formulating the all-new Cove! The Cove is an excellent combination of benchmark and power! With the all-new Magna A.I. Core and the RB85 Hybrid Coverstock, the Cove will certainly bring results to any straighter player’s game. Great ball
I was very shocked of how much I liked this ball. I put my favorite layout on this which is 50x4x20. This ball is so smooth yet strong. It has become a favorite in my bag so far, especially on tough sport shots.
