    Ember is on FIRE!

Posted by Roto Grip Rick on Sep 14th 2025

900 Global Ember Ball specs: All new Magna A.I. core with a new aggressive RB82 coverstock with a factory Power Edge surface. My Specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 15/16th up 3/16th. Tested on Pro-lane surface on a 43ft medium volume house pattern and 37ft sport pattern. What is BURNING UP the lanes this fall for the new bowling season? Well,,, it is the new 900 Global Ember for the 800 series line. All the new 900 Global Ember is a new addition to the 800 series. The all new Magna A.I. core coupled with the RB82 pearl is a great match together. The Magna core reminds me of a futuristic hour glass with more of the mass at the top and bottom of the core. The cover is a weaker version of the Zen 25, and the core is a little more unstable in the front of the lane which stores more energy in the back end. I really enjoyed practicing with my Ember and comparing it to the Zen 25. A little weaker angle in the backend but had more overall length then the Zen 25. I drilled mine with a 5 x 3 x 4 layout knowing if I would use a shorter pin and lower back number it would hook earlier and a little too sharp for my game style. The Ember will be replacing my Optimum Idol Pearl in my tournament bags, which will consist of: Hustle Earth, LEVEL, long pin Rock Star, Ember, Ion Pro Solid, and Attention Star. 900 Global Ember

Posted by Rich Kollmeyer on Sep 14th 2025

900 Global released a pair of complementary balls at the same time - the Cove and Ember. Both of the balls share the same Magna AI core, but the Ember is has the Reserve Blend 82 Pearl cover finished with Power Edge. I found the Ember to be pretty similar to the Zen 25, which means to me, I wouldn’t carry both the Ember and Zen 25 in the same bag unless they’re drilled very differently. All in all, the Cove and Ember will make a great 1-2 punch, starting with the Cove and moving to the Ember as the lanes break down. Layout: 4 1/2 x 4 x 2 1/2 My Specs - Speed - 16 mph, Rev Rate - 280. PAP 5 3/4 x 1/2 Up. Youtube Link: https://youtu.be/OtZ8z21YF5A

    Ember ball review by S.McIntire

Posted by Sandy McIntire on Sep 13th 2025

Introducing the 900 Global Ember, which utilizes the same all-new Magna A.I. Core as the Cove but differs in the choice of the cover. The RB 82 Pearl Reactive Coverstock has a more aggressive cover designed to give you stronger backend motion when you need it. I am slightly speed dominant, rev challenged 220-250ish, low tilt and high rotation. I drilled mine 40 x 4.5 x 20. My axis point is 4 3/8 over 1 3/8 up. I love this ball for medium to low oil volume conditions. This ball is clean but gives me pop off the backend. This is the perfect house shot league ball that I can stay right with in the game 3 of league. It really pairs nicely with the cove for nice one two punch. The Ember delivers!

Like its fraternal twin, the Cove, the Ember is composed of the Magna A.I. core; however, what makes the Ember distinctively fantastic in its own right is the smooth and clean rolling Reserve Blend (RB) 82 Pearl Reactive coverstock. I found the Ember to have its own unique characteristics, which are certainly worth examining. So, let’s take a closer look at what makes the 900 Global Ember an excellent choice for your arsenal. The all-new Magna A.I. Core in the Ember performed with the same success it does in the Cove. I found the Magna A.I. Core to be stable, smooth, and predictable in the mid-lane and powerfully energetic when the Ember rolls through the pin-deck. The Magna A.I. Core stores quite a bit of energy for its size and shape, and what I like most about the Magna A.I. Core is its ability to unleash that power as it goes through the pins. It was clear to me that the added punch to the Magna A.I. core comes from the A.I. technology wrapped around the Magna Core, making the Ember an excellent choice for straighter players like me who love that predictable, stable motion that keeps us striking. The Reserve Blend (RB82) is a uniquely blended pearl that gives the Ember a clear and distinctive place in any straighter player’s arsenal. The factory Power Edge Finish performed reasonably well on the Ember under normal THS conditions. However, when I applied a light 3000-grit Abralon pad to the Ember to reduce the high-gloss finish, the RB-82 Pearl provided the crisp traction I was looking for without being overly aggressive in the backend. Further, the 3000-grit surface tweak on the RB-82 gave my Ember the ability to blend the developing worn and spotty condition with a smooth and stable motion I could count on to get me to the pocket. As a straighter player who is rev challenged, I need a pearl coverstock that gives me the predictability I can count on without jumping or being overly sensitive to wet/dry conditions. And the RB-82 on the Ember delivered precisely what I needed when I needed it, making the Ember an excellent choice for any straighter low rev player like me. In conclusion, 900 Global has done a fantastic job developing its 800 Series line, featuring its fraternal twins, the Ember and the Cove. However, the Ember certainly has its own distinctive place in any down and in and straighter player’s arsenal. The winning combination of the Magna A.I. Core and RB-82 Pearl coverstock not only makes the Ember a perfect standalone choice for many THS bowlers, but it also makes a great complement to balls like its fraternal twin, the Cove, giving any straighter players that one-two punch they need to keep striking all night. So stop in to your local Strom VIP Pro Shop today and have your Ember drilled up for tonight’s league. The 900 Global Ember will certainly deliver! Ember

Posted by Zachary Woelfel on Sep 9th 2025

The 900 Global Ember gives me exactly what I need when the Cove starts to feel a little too smooth and I’m looking for something cleaner through the front with more pop downlane. Using the same Magna A.I. core, the Ember naturally complements the Cove, but with its pearl cover I get a sharper, more defined move off the friction that really opens up the lane. Compared to the Zen 25, the Ember feels quicker and more angular while still being controllable, and when I put it next to the Origin EX, it’s definitely weaker overall but far more versatile when the lanes start to transition. I’ve found myself pulling out the Ember late in blocks when I want to stay in the same zone but need a ball that clears the fronts and still drives through the pins. It’s the perfect step up in shape from the Cove and one of the cleanest, most confident looks in the current lineup.

900 Global Ember Ball Review Layout-5x4x1.5(VLS) Surface-Poweredge Polish RG-2.49 Differential-.044 The Ember features the new Magna AI core wrapped around the RB 82 Pearl coverstock. The Ember will be clean with a stronger backend. The Ember is a symmetrical core with a Pearl coverstock. I feel like the Ember will be a great transition piece when you need more length and a stronger backend motion. When the Coveis reading too early or doesn’t have enough backend the Ember will be the perfect option. The Cove and Ember were designed to compliment each other to give you a 1-2 punch. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1781944452525832?fs=e&fs=e

Ember Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson

Posted by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson on Sep 1st 2025

900 Global Ember Cover: RB 82 Pearl Reactive Core: Magna™ + A.I. Core (Symmetrical) Color: Red/Orange/Charcoal Review: 900 Global is really hitting the mark with their releases as of late and we are really excited for this 1-2 punch in the Ember and the Cove. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 5x4x2 (pin is above bridge). Featuring the same core as the Cove, the Ember is an incredible smooth yet more angular baby Zen 25. Once the cove becomes a little lazy down lane, instead of opening your angles up too much you can now switch to the Ember and basically keep your feet in the same spot. I love the release of these 2 bowling balls. They really show that having the right equipment and pairing them together can really help cover your bases as the games progress. This set up is especially important for those who have trouble moving their feet left. Helping stay in the same part of the lane works well for some bowlers and this is what you may be looking for if you find yourself being challenged moving way left as the shot breaks down. We are excited to see how customers pair these 2 pieces together. Cove

Posted by Glenn on Aug 31st 2025

Ball Specs: Global Ember Cover 82 Blend Pearl Reactive Magna A.I. Core (Symmetrical) Finish Power Edge Layout 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.5 Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Ember is one piece of a two-part release in the Global line. The intent is to pair the Ember and Cove together to cover a wide range of lane conditions. The Ember is a good-looking medium ball that reads the lane early enough to not over skid and has a nice move off the spot. I would not say it is angular but very continuous and forgiving. I feel the Ember would be best suited as the lanes transition and beyond. I was able to stay with this ball for a good while in practice as the lanes started getting carry down then drying up in the front part of the pattern. I have not altered the surface on this ball because I like what I see at the factory finish. There are already a good number of my customers talking about getting the Cove and Ember as a set fall the fall leagues. The Ember should be able to handle a good amount of oil patterns, and I feel this ball will show up on tour quite a bit. If you are looking up the Ember on Storms site, try out the Ten Pin Toolkit to get a layout pattern recommendation. This is a very cool feature and from what I have seen it seems to be accurate. Summary: The Ember should be a very versatile ball. This ball reads the pattern at the right time and has good back end. The Ember could be very popular on tour and on local tournament shots. 900 Global Ember

Posted by Chris Galler on Aug 31st 2025

Unlike the Cove, the Ember is a great ball for the bag when the lanes fully go through transition. The Ember gives you a longer look down lane and a more angular ball shape down lane. This is a ball I am able to start with for my game, and I do not have to worry about this ball not making it back to the pocket. Great angular backend motion that comes off the spot with spark. Cove and Ember are ones to keep together in the bag, they work very well together.

    Ember is on FIRE!

Posted by Devon Radford on Aug 31st 2025

The Ember is the pearl counterpart to the Cove. Another pearl that is a great entry into 900 Global’s catalog, and is a step down from the Zen 25. The layout is pin up (4 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 1 7/8). With the same core as the Cove, the RB 82 pearl coverstock provides a stable and continuous ball motion and amazing continuation through the pins. When the Cove is not enough or digs into the lane a little too early, the Ember is an amazing compliment to the Cove and will not disappoint!
