Additional product information:
We're excited to introduce a brand-new coverstock material, RB 89 Solid Reactive coverstock, that we have not used before. It is one of the cleanest materials we have ever produced. Made to get through the front of the lane much easier than previous materials.
The solid version was chosen to give people a clean look through the front of the lane with predictability downlane instead of a clean and sideways motion like you would normally see.
Purposely engineered for medium heavy to heavy oil.
The Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core makes it more even rolling with more mass towards the center and less towards the poles.
With great continuation, this is a great option for bowling centers with a lot of friction. We created this ball with some of the older lane panels in mind.

900 Global Origin EX
Layout: 35 x 4 1/4” x 40 The Origin EX is one of the most interesting releases from SPI in quite some time – this is one of the few times when the description of the ball given by the company does not match my experience when using the ball. The original Origin is one of my favorite SPI bowling balls from the last couple years. It gives me a medium amount of overall hook and has a good amount of backend hook, while still being very controllable. The Origin EX has all of that, while picking up the lane 3-4 feet earlier. Due to that, the idea of the cover being “clean” does not really match up to what I see, at box finish. What I get is a ball that is very smooth and controllable, while still best at home on medium to medium-heavy oil conditions. The cover will not dig into oil as much as an Ion Max or RST Hyperdrive, which makes the Origin EX a great step down from either of those 2 bowling balls.

Origin EX
LANE CONDITION: Length: 42 Volume: Medium Type: THS COMMENTS My Layout: 4 x5 x 2 VLS SPI description: The **900 Global Origin EX** is a powerhouse designed for bowlers who need control and consistency on high-friction lanes. Featuring the **Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core**, this ball delivers a smooth yet strong motion, making it a reliable choice for those looking to maintain predictability without sacrificing power. Performance & Design The *RB 89 Solid Reactive coverstock* ensures the ball clears the front part of the lane effortlessly while providing a controlled backend motion. Unlike some aggressive solids that tend to overreact, the Origin EX blends the lane beautifully, offering a stable and repeatable shape. Its *2000-grit Abralon finish* enhances traction, making it ideal for medium to heavy oil conditions. #### On the Lanes Bowlers who tested the Origin EX found it to be a great option when transitioning from stronger asymmetric solids. It provides a **controlled arc** rather than a sharp snap, making it a dependable choice when lanes start to break down. The ball’s ability to maintain energy retention ensures **strong continuation through the pins**, reducing deflection and improving pin carry. My Review: Close to 30 games and a few surface changes Tested on Bowlero 42' THS medium fricition trying to get a similiar reaction to my Reality Check playing up 9-10 board at the arrows to start the Origin EX was cleaner up front with a smoother transtion in OOB condition. For me the ball needs slightly more head oiul and more friction at the breakpoint. I needed to stay firm with less miss in. 10 games in I polished it with Power Edge at 800 grit. Same pattern but more energy retention and continuation thru the pocket. Better overall usage for me as a step down game 2 ball with this adjustment. Next adjustment was @3000 no polish. Smoother with better control of the dry and better off pocket strikes. Added polish with 3000 and now I had a ball to stay in my bag. Overall I give this a solid "A" for cover versatility and 8.5 for longer usage. The Origin EX has a place in your bag, a place for all styles. Enjoy the strikes from ever angle and every style. #strikingworldwide #stormnation

Origin EX
Origin EX - Ball Specs Cover Stock: 2000 Grit, 89 Reserve Blend Solid Coverstock Finish: Power Edge Core: Ellipse Core with A.I. Layout: 50 x 5 x 40 RG: 2.48 Differential: 0.050 Intermediate Diff: .020 Review The Origin EX is the next chapter in the 900 Global Origin series. The Reserve Blend 89 solid cover wrapped around the proven Ellipse A.I. core gives you a big ball that you can use on house and sport patterns. The Origin is versatile and responds well to surface changes for various lane patterns. I tested this ball on a 43 foot typical house pattern. I could stand anywhere from the 18 board to the 25 board without losing any hitting power. Compared to the original Origin with both balls at the box surface, the EX read the lane slightly earlier with less backend. This ball will be in my bag for leagues and tournaments. This is a great ball for all levels of bowlers. Order one from your local pro shop today! My ball review videos are posted on YouTube channel Stanley Waite. Origin EX
Review by Nicholas Hogan on the Origin EX Clean, Clean, Clean! This ball is so clean through the fronts making it one of the only dull big balls that I can stand further right with to start! As it shines up from lane shine it just gets even better, kind of that pearl clean skid through the fronts but not a crazy snap on the backend like a solid. I would compare it to an S2 for myself just a tad stronger overall. What I believe you can expect from this ball is, on tougher conditions you will be able to keep your angles in front of you more and not see a violent shape down lane, and on easier oil patterns, it will play kind of like a benchmark ball in a way in my opinion. Origin EX Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
900 Global Origin EX Cover: 2000 Grit RB 89™ Solid Reactive Core: Ellipse™ + A.I. Core (Asymmetrical) Color: Orange/Red/Plum Review: 900 Global is really hitting the mark with their releases as of late and we are really excited for this solid variation to one of our favorite balls this year the Origin. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 5x4x2 (pin is above bridge). This is one of those bowling balls that is a home run for me. I love these clean yet angular bowling balls that seem to retain energy for days. It is literally as if the harsh reality pearl and summit ascent had a baby. Compared to the original Origin this ball is cleaner through the fronts and has more turn at the end of the lane. Overall it does hook slightly less just because of how clean it is through the front part of the lane. This ball is what I would categorize as a house shot killer. Even though it may be slightly too strong to stay in all 3 games, you seem to have infinite miss room right. Add that miss room with the AI core technology and wow this ball really is a game changer. If you have the chance stop by a Matchmaker and try out the Origin EX today! Origin Ex
Ball Specs: Origin Ex Cover: 2000 Grit Core: RB 89 Solid Reactive Review: I’ve been rolling the new 900 Global Origin EX for a couple of weeks now, and I’ve got to say — this ball surprised me in a good way. Right out of the box, it looks sharp, but it’s the way it moves on the lanes that makes it stand out. The first thing I noticed is how early it reads the lane. This isn’t a ball that skids too far and snaps hard in the back. Instead, it starts to grab in the mid-lane and gives a smooth, strong arc to the pocket. That makes it perfect for heavier oil or when the pattern is fresh, and I need something that won’t overreact. The motion is super controllable. It doesn’t jerk or jump off the dry boards, it just rolls forward with confidence. I felt like I could trust every shot, especially on sport shots or house shots with some volume in the middle. The core seems to carry energy well, too. Even when I missed a little inside, it still had enough drive to trip the 10 or push through a light hit. It’s not the biggest hooking ball I’ve thrown, but it’s one of the smartest. The Origin EX isn’t flashy, but it’s dependable, and that’s what wins games. If you need a solid piece that reads early, controls the mid-lane, and keeps the pins flying, this ball is worth trying. It’s earned a spot in my tournament bag, no question. Origin EX!
The Origin EX is 900 Globals newest 900 series ball. The EX features the same Ellipse AI core found in the original Origin but is now wrapped in RB89 solid. The EX in my opinion will be in play for a longer duration of time than the original due to being cleaner and more responsive. The Origin had one of the strongest covers in the entire line so once the front part of the lane had too much friction, the Origin tended to lock up and go forward. The EX for me has been the perfect game 1 house shot ball and a great option to go to after my Ion Max. The Origin EX is now available from any Storm VIP Pro Shop! Origin EX
The layout on mine is 50 x 4 x 35. The Origin EX provides a smoother and controllable roll than the actual Origin. With the RB 89 Solid Coverstock, it’s great a ball to use when the lanes starts to transition and on higher fricition surfaces. I took this ball to one house where the lanes had a little more friction in the backend. Not only was it smoother and controllable, but the A.I. technology packed a big punch as it went through the pins and gave me great hitting power. This could be a step down from the Origin, which can be too angular off the spot, but the solid coverstock on the EX really helps blend the backend motion. A very unique shape, but this would be really good on shorter to medium patterns, especially on some flatter patterns where the oil ration is much lower. This ball is pretty good and will definitely keep this ball with me!

Origin EX Review
Layout: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 Surface: 2000 Abralon Rev Rate: 470 RPM Tilt: 13* The new Origin EX brings back the Ellispse AI core and is paired with the new RB89 Solid Coverstock. The intent of this ball was to create a clean reaction in the front while giving the same strong midlane continuation and control that makes this one different. With today's lane surfaces getting older year after year, you need to get the ball through the higher friction front end of the lane. This is where the Origin EX comes into play. I was able to test this on a 44ft Typical House Pattern. On the fresh, I saw a pretty clean ball, strong midlane and a pretty controllable backend. This is different than your typical solid asymmetrical because this ball does not try to read immediately when you put it on the lane. Compared to the Ion Max, I saw this ball to be significantly cleaner and more controllable. The Origin EX although designed to be smooth, it can be a fresh ball or a transition ball from another stronger solid asymmetrical. As the lanes started to transition, I was able to move further left and still saw nice continuation through the pins. The biggest hurdle of this one is when I had to open my angles up. The slower controllable coverstock did not like angle too much and had trouble going through the pins if I got far enough left. On my typical house pattern, this makes this ball a little bit more one note and only really good on the fresh. I think on harder, more challenging conditions, this ball will really come to play as that stronger control piece on lane surfaces that are older. Compared to the original Origin, I saw about 3 boards less of hook overall and about 2 boards less angle down lane. The Origin is the better choice when opening the lanes up more. I think the best conditions for the Origin EX would be on the fresh on medium to longer length house patterns as well as the same length sport patterns. The control of this piece will give you more command of patterns where more shallow angles are needed. If you are an up the lane person, I can see this ball being a staple in the bag. Also, left handers would likely get good use out of this ball because it won't change direction as hard. Adam Chase Storm Staff
