900 Global Zen 25 Bowling Ball

900 Global iconic Zen line is back in 2025 with the all new Zen25. It features the brand new RB 83 Pearl cover and the trusted Meditate Core with AI technology added. I drilled mine 5 x 3 and WOW the Zen is back. The Zen25 reminds me of a combination of the original Zen and the Zen Gold Label. It is as strong as the Zen but clean as the Gold Label was. Compared to the Phaze AI, it is cleaner with more of an angular motion down lane as the Phaze is more rounded. If you are looking to open up the lane and watch the something create a ton of angle down lane, then look no farther than the Zen25.

The OG Zen was one of 900 Global's iconic releases back in 2020. Fast forward to 2025, it has returned, this time with the returning Meditate symmetric core, AI technology, and the RB 83 Pearl Coverstock, finished with Power Edge Polish. I drilled mine with a 60 x 4 3/4 x 55 layout. Testing it at my home center of Cortlandt Lanes, located in Cortlandt Manor, NY, on the center's 44ft THS, the Zen25 proved to be a gamechanger with ultimate ball motion. I found this ball to be clean through the fronts, saving its energy for a strong and smooth backend reaction through the pins. I did see an early read with this ball as the lanes were transitioning each game, where I started moving right with my feet but still would find similar results with backend ball motion. While I was not able to compare it to the OG Zen, I differentiated the Zen25 with my Road Warrior (50 x 5 x 35) and Optimum Idol Pearl (75 x 4 3/4 x 40), since they are both symmetrical pieces. Both the Road Warrior and Idol Pearl read the lanes a little earlier, with slightly more angle than the Zen25. I found the Zen25 to be smoother and more controllable, followed by the Road Warrior and Idol Pearl. In conclusion, I found the Zen25 to be more versatile and can work for medium-heavy conditions for a variety of bowlers. Be sure to drill a Zen25 up from your local pro shop today. When this ball was announced I was really excited to put this in my bag. It hasn’t disappointed me with its performance. Using the layout of 60x5x30 the Zen25 has quickly become a go to ball on league nights. Reads the midlane the with ease and pops off the spot. The Zen 25 gave me a great look sliding on 32, looking 17 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 6-7. I was able to move left without any concern that the ball would lose energy.
