Additional product information:

Brunswick advances the Combat line with the arrival of Combat Hybrid — a tactical evolution engineered for midlane dominance. The addition of Alpha Premier Hybrid, a non-HK22-based cover, creates traction in oil while maintaining the predictable continuation that made the original Combat so effective. Paired again with the Rampart core, this new 2000 grit-finish asymmetric hybrid reads the midlane earlier and more aggressively, providing a heavier roll with relentless motion through the pins. We created Combat Hybrid to be that crucial step up in motion and traction from the original. Similar in shape, but more of it. When lanes get tougher and transition demands a controlled yet continuous shape, Combat Hybrid is your most dependable weapon for scoring.

    Mid lane control

Posted by Ian L on Apr 15th 2026

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Combat Hybrid is midlane control. With these patterns that we are seeing these days, mid lane control is very important. It blends the pattern very well front to back and pretty much eliminates that over under reaction I often see on my league patterns. It's a significant difference to the original Combat as I see it a good 2 feet sooner and smoother. The 2 compliment each other very well. I don't get alot of use out of the top of the line "big" strong balls as I bowl on alot of older surfaces. Im able to use this Combat hybrid as my "Big" ball to start then transition into the original Combat.

    Brunswick Combat Hybrid

The Brunswick Combat Hybrid, most importantly for me passes the eye test. It creates a shape I like to see and it does it from the right part of the lane. It has the new Alpha Premier Hybrid coverstock which I believe is a little smoother than bowling balls with HK22 based covers. I see it as an earlier Alert. Strong and smooth with hitting power.

    Combat Hybrid

Combat Hybrid is a step up from the original providing a similar shape but more of it. A dependable controlled motion in the midlane with continous shape through the pins. This ball is perfect when the lanes get tougher from transition
