Additional product information:

Since their conception back in 2016, the Hustle Series of bowling balls has provided outstanding performance above and beyond the retail price. From the 34th sanctioned 900 Series by the Hustle™ INK, to countless TV appearances over the years on both the PBA & PWBA Tours. The various versions Hustle's have provided consistent reactions time and time again.

And while the inner Hustle Core has remained the same since day one, it's the different variations of the VTC™ (Versatile Traction Control) Coverstock - Solid, Pearl & Hybrid, that have kept this line viable on those Light to Medium Oil conditions for every level of bowler from the first timers, all the way up to the pros.

    EARTH by RGR

Posted by Roto Grip Rick on May 27th 2025

Roto Grip Hustle EARTH Core: Hustle Core Coverstock: VTC Solid Reactive Finish: 2000 grit Recommended Lane Condition: Light to Medium Layout: 5 x 5 x 4 My updated specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 15/16th up 3/16th. Tested on Pro-lane surface and older HPL on 44 ft house patterns with lower volume used for the junior and senior leagues, 44 ft house patterns with larger volume, and patterns that ranged from 33 ft to 39 ft sport patterns. The newest Roto Grip Hustle solid has arrived. The new EARTH has hit the marketplace and it is out of this world. With the colors resembling the EARTH with colors of sea, greenery, and dirt make this Hustle a very unique color combo that I can say I have never seen or thought of. Now for why anyone stops and reads ball reviews: the PERFORMANCE! The EARTH rolls and reacts a smidge sooner than my X-Ray with identical layout, Where the X-Ray which I LOVE a TON, sometimes tends to be a little late in the middle part of the pattern and just kind of rides the wave and leaves more corner pins, the EARTH I have notices moves earlier but punches the pins a little bit stronger. The EARTH reminds me of the USA version we had a few years ago where the INK would be a little too long in front of the pattern in reaction, the USA would pick up sooner but still have a strong kick in the back end. The EARTH is designed for lighter to light medium volume patterns and also does react better on the older HPLs than the Pro-Lane panels just because the HPL picks up the ball sooner than the Pro-Lane because of the RA value differences in the panels. HPL is “gritty” compared to the Pro-Lane which is a TON smoother. The EARTH is a great ball for all types of players and more importantly, it gives you unmatched performance for the price point. Once again Roto Grip has redefined value and performance in the Hustle line of bowling balls. Hustle Earth

Posted by Glenn W on May 26th 2025

Ball Specs: Roto grip Hustle Earth Cover VTC Solid Reactive Weight Block Hustle™ Core (Symmetrical) Color Sea/Greenery/Dirt Finish 2000-grit Layout 4x4 with 2” buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Hustle Line of balls provides a ton of performance for the money. The Hustle Earth hooks more than my Hustle USA probably due to the 2000 finish and the VTC solid fresh cover. The Hustle Earth creates a very predictable arch shape on the lane. The Hustle Earth reads the lane pretty early but it continues to drive through the pins and carries very well. This ball hooks more than my Surge Solid but hooks less than my Phase 2. The Hustle Line hits and carries as good as any high-priced ball. I feel this ball is best on a medium condition where control is needed. The Earth could be a nice option for people who can’t seem to match up with urethane but want a similar line to play. I have always felt the Hustle line is a great choice for a newer serious bowler who does not want to spend a lot. I like the colors of the Earth, and it does shine easily if needed. When polished I polished got a bit more length with more backend motion while still being very controllable. You really can’t go wrong with a Hustle. Summary: The Hustle Earth is as good as a higher priced ball. The motion is predictable and forgiving. The Surface of the Earth is adjusted easily. I would recommend this ball for most bowlers. Roto Grip Hustle Earth Review by Casey Murphy

Posted by Casey Murphy on May 25th 2025

Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 4 5/8 x 4 x 2 ½ (Pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ¼ x 4 x 4 (pin below bridge) The Hustle Earth is the latest solid version of the Hustle series. I drilled it up and it IMMEDIATELY gave me Hustle Xray vibes. Clean and slow and control and great for the price point. And I LOVE the color! LOL, it feels like I’m throwing a globe! You already know what Hustle solids are about, clean and smooth, the Hustle Earth carries on the tradition.

    Hustle Earth

Posted by Trevor Kopas on May 24th 2025

Pattern: 43’ House shot (2nd shift burn) Layout: 30 x 3 3/4 x 30 Finish: Box (2000 grit Abralon) The Hustle Earth is another addition to the lighter oil condition favorite line from Roto Grip. The Hustle Earth features the trusty Hustle Core and a 2000 abralon finished VTC Solid coverstock. Even on a 2nd shift burn, this ball gave me a great shape playing up the boards. As a speed dominant, no thumb bowler, I was able to play straighter even on burn and control the pocket without the ball burning up too fast. This is definitely a “solid” choice if you’re a seasoned bowler looking for something weaker, or a beginner looking to get into your first reactive ball. So much versatility in the hustle line, that’s for sure. Trevor Kopas Storm Staff Ambassador Pro Shop Operator #Bigboybowling

    Same Great Roll

Posted by Thomas Szczepaniak on May 16th 2025

The Hustle Earth is going to be a great ball for all bowlers. The color combination looks really cool and the finish on it makes it stand out more than if this color combination was used with a polish. As far performance it gave me exactly what I knew it would a nice smooth and controllable motion. As I tell most of my customers Hustles are a great ball for its price point when compared to Tropical Surges and Raws. They are so reliable that even the pros will use them on TV shows.

    Hustle Earth

Posted by Zachary Woelfel on May 15th 2025

As a bowler who thrives on reliability when the lanes start to break down, the Roto Grip Hustle Earth has become a key piece in my late-game arsenal. Featuring the proven Hustle™ Core with an RG of 2.53 and a differential of 0.030, this ball delivers a smooth, controlled motion that shines on light to medium oil conditions. The VTC™ Solid Reactive coverstock, finished at 2000-grit Abralon, gives the Hustle Earth an earlier read in the midlane and a smooth, predictable backend that’s perfect when control is more important than raw angle. Compared to other balls in the Hustle line, the Earth offers a bit more traction than the Xray, Glow or M-M, making it ideal for controlling over/under or flattening out the reaction late in blocks. Whether you're a newer player building a reliable lineup or a veteran looking for a controllable solid when the pattern is fading, the Hustle Earth offers outstanding value and dependable performance.
