Additional product information:
Since their conception back in 2016, the Hustle Series of bowling balls has provided outstanding performance above and beyond the retail price. From the 34th sanctioned 900 Series by the Hustle™ INK, to countless TV appearances over the years on both the PBA & PWBA Tours. The various versions Hustle's have provided consistent reactions time and time again.
And while the inner Hustle Core has remained the same since day one, it's the different variations of the VTC™ (Versatile Traction Control) Coverstock - Solid, Pearl & Hybrid, that have kept this line viable on those Light to Medium Oil conditions for every level of bowler from the first timers, all the way up to the pros.

Hustle Earth
Hustle Earth - Ball Specs Cover Stock: VTC Solid Reactive Finish: 2000 Grit Abralon Color: Sea/Greenery/Dirt Core: Hustle Core RG: 2.53 Differential: 0.030 Review The Roto Grip has added two more Hustles to this iconic ball line, the Hustle Earth and Glow. The Hustle Earth is the stronger of the new Hustles, which features the iconic Hustle Core wrapped in the VTC solid reactive cover. As a medium to low rev player, this ball is great on medium to light oil patterns. There will be no issues playing in the track area and up the five board. The Hustle Earth reads the lanes a little earlier than the Hustle Glow. The Hustle Earth is a must have for league and tournament bowlers. Now available for preorder at your local pro shop! Hustle EARTH Review by Kyle, Joel, & Dean Johnson
Ball Specs: Roto Grip Hustle EARTH Cover: 2000 Grit VTC™ Solid Reactive Core: Hustle™ (Symmetrical) Color: Sea/Greenery/Dirt Review: There is NO reason to not love this line of bowling balls. They cater to literally every bowler in the world, regardless of skill level and is priced so reasonably that its worth its weight in gold. Our style: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 5x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For the seasoned veterans you can expect an extremely versatile lower end solid, something to keep transition to late in a block if you are needing to move right (even if the conditions are drying up). For the novice bowler you can expect great value in your purchase, getting a great piece of equipment for pennies over an entry level reactive bowling ball. The color options also appeal to novice bowlers who may care more about color than performance. The trusted Hustle core is in many bowling record books for a reason, it’s just that good. This ball has major shelf appeal and will look great in your bag! Hustle Earth Review
Layout: 4 1/2 x 3 x 2 Surface: 2000 Abralon Rev Rate: 470 RPM Tilt: 13* The Hustle Solid is brought back again with colors of the Earth. The VTC Solid coverstock is used again on top of the Hustle Core. The core has a 2.53 RG and 0.030 differential in 15 pounds. The Hustle Earth was designed to give a traction ball reaction for medium to light oil at the lowest price point. This ball would be great for a beginner looking to get their first reactive ball to a professional bowler looking for a different look on higher friction oil patterns. On the 44ft house pattern I test on, I saw a relatively clean look compared to the rest of the Roto Grip lineup but with decent traction in the midlane. On the fresh, it actually read the lane overall well which would give it an option for me for early in my league setting. Compared to the Ultimate wrecker, I saw similar length but much slower reaction speed and smoother overall motion. Compared to the Hustle Glow, I saw earlier ball motion and smoother ball reaction down the lane. I can recommend this ball for a lot of different styles due to its versatility on low volumes of oil. For the price point, you get a lot of performance out this one. I can see myself using this for tournaments at the end of blocks where I need length and smooth midlane roll or on the fresh of house patterns as well as some lower volume sport patterns. Hustle Earth Review
The Hustle Earth is the newest addition to the Roto Grip Hustle Line that has been a major success on the lanes over the years. This ball is designed as a solid version, along with the Hustle Core and VTC (Versatile Traction Control) cover stock found in every solid, pearl, hybrid Hustles. It has given bowlers consistent ball reactions over and over on those light/medium lane conditions. The new Earth colors are also refreshing as they combine with sea, grass greenage, and dirt. Ball layout: 60 x 4 ½ x 30, same as my Hustle X-Ray for comparison. Tested at my home center of Hudson Lanes and Games in Cortlandt Manor, NY, on their 42ft low mL volume league pattern, I decided to open up the transition first, so I can receive more room for error. While both balls have a smooth finish, the Hustle Earth tends to read the lanes a pinch earlier than the X-Ray. Versatility and smoothness once again show its consistency with this ball. Not so much of a differential but it provides great performance results, especially contesting on higher friction lane surfaces/older panels. I’ve been a huge fan of the Hustle Line and it’s a great addition to your bag, along with a low-end price you can refuse! Be sure to stop by your local pro shop today and drill up a Hustle Earth! Roto Grip Hustle Earth – WWRD 5/23/2025
Cover: VTC Solid Reactive Core: Hustle RG: 2.53 RG. Diff.: 0.030 Finish: 2000-Grit Abralon Roto Grip’s new Hustle Earth is a Solid Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium-Light Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and CG kicked out 1” from the palm. I threw this piece on a Fresh 43’ House pattern. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a Smooth to forward motion on the backend. Similar Shape to the Hustle X-Ray. I compared this piece to the Hustle RIP. Hustle RIP is 3-4 more all around with a more continuous backend. This piece fits between the Hustle RIP and the Hustle Glow. This piece will be good for all types of styles. EARTH by RGR
Roto Grip Hustle EARTH Core: Hustle Core Coverstock: VTC Solid Reactive Finish: 2000 grit Recommended Lane Condition: Light to Medium Layout: 5 x 5 x 4 My updated specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 15/16th up 3/16th. Tested on Pro-lane surface and older HPL on 44 ft house patterns with lower volume used for the junior and senior leagues, 44 ft house patterns with larger volume, and patterns that ranged from 33 ft to 39 ft sport patterns. The newest Roto Grip Hustle solid has arrived. The new EARTH has hit the marketplace and it is out of this world. With the colors resembling the EARTH with colors of sea, greenery, and dirt make this Hustle a very unique color combo that I can say I have never seen or thought of. Now for why anyone stops and reads ball reviews: the PERFORMANCE! The EARTH rolls and reacts a smidge sooner than my X-Ray with identical layout, Where the X-Ray which I LOVE a TON, sometimes tends to be a little late in the middle part of the pattern and just kind of rides the wave and leaves more corner pins, the EARTH I have notices moves earlier but punches the pins a little bit stronger. The EARTH reminds me of the USA version we had a few years ago where the INK would be a little too long in front of the pattern in reaction, the USA would pick up sooner but still have a strong kick in the back end. The EARTH is designed for lighter to light medium volume patterns and also does react better on the older HPLs than the Pro-Lane panels just because the HPL picks up the ball sooner than the Pro-Lane because of the RA value differences in the panels. HPL is “gritty” compared to the Pro-Lane which is a TON smoother. The EARTH is a great ball for all types of players and more importantly, it gives you unmatched performance for the price point. Once again Roto Grip has redefined value and performance in the Hustle line of bowling balls. Hustle Earth
Ball Specs: Roto grip Hustle Earth Cover VTC Solid Reactive Weight Block Hustle™ Core (Symmetrical) Color Sea/Greenery/Dirt Finish 2000-grit Layout 4x4 with 2” buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Hustle Line of balls provides a ton of performance for the money. The Hustle Earth hooks more than my Hustle USA probably due to the 2000 finish and the VTC solid fresh cover. The Hustle Earth creates a very predictable arch shape on the lane. The Hustle Earth reads the lane pretty early but it continues to drive through the pins and carries very well. This ball hooks more than my Surge Solid but hooks less than my Phase 2. The Hustle Line hits and carries as good as any high-priced ball. I feel this ball is best on a medium condition where control is needed. The Earth could be a nice option for people who can’t seem to match up with urethane but want a similar line to play. I have always felt the Hustle line is a great choice for a newer serious bowler who does not want to spend a lot. I like the colors of the Earth, and it does shine easily if needed. When polished I polished got a bit more length with more backend motion while still being very controllable. You really can’t go wrong with a Hustle. Summary: The Hustle Earth is as good as a higher priced ball. The motion is predictable and forgiving. The Surface of the Earth is adjusted easily. I would recommend this ball for most bowlers. Roto Grip Hustle Earth Review by Casey Murphy
Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and 1 1/8 up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 4 5/8 x 4 x 2 ½ (Pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ¼ x 4 x 4 (pin below bridge) The Hustle Earth is the latest solid version of the Hustle series. I drilled it up and it IMMEDIATELY gave me Hustle Xray vibes. Clean and slow and control and great for the price point. And I LOVE the color! LOL, it feels like I’m throwing a globe! You already know what Hustle solids are about, clean and smooth, the Hustle Earth carries on the tradition.

Hustle Earth
Pattern: 43’ House shot (2nd shift burn) Layout: 30 x 3 3/4 x 30 Finish: Box (2000 grit Abralon) The Hustle Earth is another addition to the lighter oil condition favorite line from Roto Grip. The Hustle Earth features the trusty Hustle Core and a 2000 abralon finished VTC Solid coverstock. Even on a 2nd shift burn, this ball gave me a great shape playing up the boards. As a speed dominant, no thumb bowler, I was able to play straighter even on burn and control the pocket without the ball burning up too fast. This is definitely a “solid” choice if you’re a seasoned bowler looking for something weaker, or a beginner looking to get into your first reactive ball. So much versatility in the hustle line, that’s for sure. Trevor Kopas Storm Staff Ambassador Pro Shop Operator #Bigboybowling
