BEHIND THE DESIGN:

Just like the original, this version is also engineered to blow up racks and take names.

Featuring the same Torpex Core with TORQUE SPHERE Technologywe knew the sole focus of this project was formulating the ideal coverstock to not only compliment the TNT, but also compliment the entire Roto Grip product line.

Explosive Performance PLUS SOME was our goal, and well, lets just say we CRUSHED IT!

Starting with our eTrax PLUS coverstock material, we went to work mixing up and mixing down both the pearl and solid materials. After months of rigorous testing and analysis we were able to formulate the response to friction we were looking for thanks to this 2-part pearl / 1- part solid concoction.

    TNT Infused

Posted by BRIAN HIRSCH on Nov 28th 2023

Hey everyone, I'm back with another ball review, and this time it's for the Roto Grip TNT Infused. In 14 pounds this ball is wrapped in an eTrax Plus Hybrid Cover and comes with a reacta gloss finish with the Torpex symmetric Core from the original TNT and has an RG of 2.54, Diff of .051. The layout for this ball is 5.5 X 4.5 X 1 and I went on the weaker side to have a ball that hooks but to be used when they get drier. There are many videos online showing this ball as a hook monster but not knowing things like their layout or what the pattern hurts the person watching as sometimes it is hard to understand what you are watching. I hope this helps and please let me know on the socials. I filmed this ball after league to show what it looks like on a drier shot as when I did throw it on fresh for me it didn't look great and yes that is part of the layout. This ball comes with the reacta gloss finish and like the 4Kfast I didn’t find that surface to be to my liking and the same goes with this ball. Before holes were put in I hit the ball with a used 2000 pad just to knock off the shine. This ball will stay in the bag for some time to come and will put in work later in events or even on a shorter pattern. I tend to use this ball in game three of my five-man league Check us out on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/onefrombills Get out to your STORM VIP shop or Pro Shop and get yours today! TNT Infused

Posted by Zachary Woelfel on Nov 27th 2023

The all new TNT Infused is Roto Grips newest addition to the HP3 line. The infused features the Torpex Core (in the original TNT as well) with the eTrax Hybrid coverstock (with Reacta gloss) wrapped around it. I think that the Infused was a great addition to the line, I felt that the original TNT was a ball that was very shot dependent. If I needed a ball to be slow and rolly it was my go-to ball, however, I thought that the coverstock may have been too strong unless there was a lot of oil in the front part of the lane. I think that the eTrax Hybrid coverstock is more of what I like to see out of a ball, it allows the ball to slow down in the midlane without bogging down when it gets to the pins. The TNT Infused is great when you want to move in and open up the lane without sacrificing midlane control. This ball made a good ball (TNT) even better! Roto Grip TNT Infused

Roto Grip TNT Infused Layout: 4.5 x 5 x 2 Storm Pin Buffer Layout Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Roto Grip TNT Infused utilizes the eTrax hybrid coverstock and the Torpex weight block. I have seen some reviewers opine that the ball reaction of the TNT Infused is Marvel Pearl like. Those are big shoes to feel as the Marvel Pearl was one of my all-time favorites. However, the TNT Infused is very similar. It is clean upfront and nice backend motion once it touches the dry boards. The TNT Infused is very different than the original TNT, which was smooth and controllable. The TNT Infused is in that Storm Virtual Energy Blackout space, but as a symmetrical option. The TNT Infused was not quite as long s the VEBO for me, but similar backend motion. I will used it as my No. 2-3 ball after my Magic Gem or Eternity PI starts to hook too soon and won’t carry that stubborn 10-pin. Visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop! #Stormnation #SquadRG

TNT Infused Review by Luke Rosdahl

Posted by Luke Rosdahl on Nov 24th 2023

The TNT Infused is a new symmetric ball in Roto Grip’s HP3 line. It features the eTrax plus hybrid cover, which is a clean and responsive cover that we’ve seen before on the RST X-2 in pearl form, and on the TNT as a solid. The core is the relatively new Torpex core which comes in at a low 2.47 RG and a .052 differential in 15 pounds. The Infused feels like a longer and sharper version of the TNT, but it’s remarkable how much that improves the quality of the ball reaction. I’ve used the Infused on several different conditions with a couple different surfaces. The factory gloss is too inconsistent and sensitive for me, so I resurfaced it down to 1000 on a resurfacing machine, then finished it lightly with Storm’s Step 2 compound. The result was a strong rolling, but clean, firm, and slightly forward arc. The TNT was known for being surprisingly early and strong despite the cleaner cover formula, and unfortunately the front to back shape was too front heavy which made it lazy and apathetic down lane. The Infused adjusts that shape, giving it a lot more balance and resulting in a perfect balance of core and cover. The heavy rolling and early core gives a lot of stability to the reaction shape, while the cleaner and sharper cover gets the ball further down the lane and adds punch. This makes the Infused a surprisingly effective and versatile ball that reminds me a lot of the original Zen, just cleaner and sharper. Like the TNT, the reaction shape wants to be slightly forward, but the cleaner cover allows the bowler to control the shape a little better because you can get around it more without it digging in so early or being flat like the TNT was. It fits well for a variety of bowler styles on most league conditions, and will be a great option for getting into transition on more difficult patterns.

    TNT Infused

Posted by Ben Lapointe on Nov 23rd 2023

Ben Lapointe 5.25 x 4 x 3 1 1/4'' up and 4 7/8 over The TNT Infused is Roto Grips newest piece in the HP3 line. This ball provides excellent mid lane read with its big core found in the original TNT as well. The pearl cover on this piece makes it sharp enough on the back end to get through the pins with ease, but does not want to go through with too much angle and 9 pin. I find this ball blends out wet/dry or over under really well. I find this ball very useful on sport due to its slower ball motion, making it more useful on low volume fresh sport patterns. Bowl up a Storm!!

Roto Grip TNT Infused by Casey Murphy

Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 ½ over and ½ up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 5 x 4 x 2 ½ (pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 ½ x 4 x 4 1/8 (pin below bridge) The TNT Infused HOOOOKS. I liked the TNT quite a bit when it came out but it does get slow at times. The Infused comes off the spot HARD. It is a lot of ball. Where the TNT gets off the spot slow and continuous and lets you stay closer to the friction, the Infused just goes. I HAVE to open the lane up to keep this ball online, but the solid part of the cover insures that it reads the front part of the lane, so oil is not a problem. Being a high performance hybrid allows this ball to be used on all sorts of oil volumes and patterns because it tries to get through the fronts more than a solid but it also jerks, but not as much as a pearl! Love some high performance hybrids!

TNT Infused - You have been WARNED!

Posted by Rick Mitchell on Nov 17th 2023

Roto Grip TNT Infused LAYOUT: 45 x 5 x 40 COLOR: Glow Orange / Copper / Plum CORE: TorpexTM Core COVER: eTraxTM PLUS Hybrid Reactive BOX FINISH: Reacta GlossTM BUILT FOR: Medium Oil FLARE POTENTIAL: High Consider yourself WARNED! Being a HUGE fan of Roto Grip hybrids: like my current main go to ball, Roto Grip Hyped Hybrid, I was stoked when I saw the TNT line was adding a hybrid to the line up first, before a pearl version was released. Being two parts pearl and one part solid, made me even more excited. The TNT Infused has the look of a past Roto Grip ball, the DareDevil Danger, which is still one of my all-time favorite ball lines, the TNT Infused rolls and reacts a little earlier and hits harder than my Hyped Hybrid. The multi-density Torpex core is responsive and when the Infused hits the pins, it is very explosive. Comparing to the Hyped Hybrid, on Pro-Lane and SPL, the Infused does change motions early and stronger than the Hyped, where sometimes the Hyped takes longer to respond, and I can move my feet deeper into the center of the lane and not have to play so straight on those 2 types of lane surfaces, don't get me wrong, I love playing straighter when I can, but when the Hyped does not quite "get there" a nice stronger step up is the Infused. It is now my benchmark ball on Thursday nights at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg. So, now my league bags have the Magic Gem, TNT Infused, Tour Dynam-X, Virtual Energy Blackout and Hustle RIP. I would say that would be a well rounded arsenal. ( Saving the one spot for the IQ Tour U/78. I hope this provides you some good insight and information on how the Roto Grip TNT Infused works for me.

    The TNT Infused!

TNT Infused • Roto Grip • HP3 Series Core • Torpex Core (Symmetric) Weight • 15 lbs. RG • 2.57 Differential •.052 Coverstock • eTrax Plus Hybrid • Finish Reacta Gloss Layout • 4 ¼ x 4 ¾ x 1 ¾ Tester PAP • 5” R, 5/8” D Tester Axis Tilt • 9° Testers Rev Rate • 250 Test Pattern • 42’ THS (Typical House Shot) • Modified, Kegel Stone Street From my first roll with the TNT Infused, I could see Roto Grip developed a powerful new weapon to add to any bowler’s arsenal. And the longer I rolled this new Roto Grip howitzer and watched its explosive results, the more the TNT Infused left me smiling from ear to ear! The TNT Infused combines the Torpex Symmetric Core and the eTrax Plus Hybrid Reactive Coverstock. And this winning duo of core/cover produced some fantastic results. So, let’s take a closer look at what’s behind the success of the TNT Infused. The Torpex Core is a well-crafted symmetrical core that produces a smooth and predictable motion any down-and -in player like me can depend on. I liked the vibrant torque that the Torpex Core had off my hand, and even with my low rev rate, the Torpex Core built a strong and continuous momentum as it rolled through the mid-lane. Unlike other symmetrical cores that roll out or lose their gusto as they hit the pocket, the Torpex Core turns that stored energy into a powerful pin-crushing machine. I found the TNT Infused has a relentless continuation and takes no prisoners as it plows its way through the pin deck. So, if you’re a straighter low-rev player like me, the Torpex Core will deliver results you can count on and a motion you can trust. Now, what elevates the TNT Infused above the competition is the eTrax plus Hybrid Coverstock! This two-part pearl and one-part solid mixture is “money” for any straighter player like me. And suppose you’re a league player who bowls in different conditions. In that case, you can count on the eTrax Plus Hybrid Coverstock to deliver consistency and an almost benchmark motion in nearly any type of THS condition. Whether on fresh or worn conditions, the eTrax Plus Hybrid easily clears the front part of the lane and has a predictable, smooth traction in the mid-lane. Further, as the TNT Infused makes its turn off the pattern, the eTrax Plus Hybrid has a crisp, responsive motion without being overly aggressive. So, if you miss right, the eTrax Plus Hybrid brings you back without being erratic. If you pull it left into the oil, the eTrax Plus Hybrid holds the line and has a smooth roll to the pocket as it finds friction. So, this type of blending and consistency makes the TNT Infused an excellent choice for nearly any THS shot condition you may encounter during competition. In conclusion, the TNT Infused by Roto Grip is a fantastic new release! The TNT Infused will find a place in nearly any league bowler’s arsenal. And if you are a straighter, low-rev player like me, you can count on the TNT Infused to keep your game in play all night long with scoring results that will keep you smiling until next week! So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and have your TNT Infused ready to blast the competition! The TNT Infused is well worth it! New Benchmark Ball

Posted by Steven Collins on Nov 14th 2023

Dual Angle Layout: 55 x 4 1/2 x 40 Storm Vector Layout: 4 ½ x 4 ½ x 2 ½ This ball has been something special. Great length with consistent and controllable back end. This ball has been great on a fresh house shot, given that I have a good amount of revs, and has been even better as the lanes start to break down. This ball looks great as well, who doesn’t love a good-looking ball that preforms??

Roto Grip TNT Infused review by Chris Pollentier

Posted by Chris Pollentier on Nov 12th 2023

Roto Grip TNT Infused Coverstock: eTrax Plus Hybrid Reactive Box Finish: Reacta Gloss Core: Torpex Core RG: 2.47, Diff: 0.052 (15 lbs) VLS Layout: 5 x 4 x 2-1/2 Dual Angle Layout: 60 x 5 x 35 PAP: 5 3/16” right x 5/8” up Rev rate: 400 rpm Average speed: 16.5 mph Location: Prairie Lanes, Sun Prairie, WI Pattern: Medium volume THS The TNT Infused is the newest ball in the Roto Grip HP3 line. The Infused features the same low RG symmetrical Torpex core as the original TNT, but this time it’s wrapped in the 2-parts pearl and 1-part solid eTrax Plus Hybrid cover. The solid version of this reactive cover was on the TNT, and the pearl version was on the RST-X2. All that said, this new TNT Infused is designed to provide a bit more length and backend responsiveness compared to the original TNT. After just a few shots with the Infused with the out-of-box polished finish, it’s safe to say that it and original TNT are very different balls thanks to the differences in coverstock. The strong core still helps the Infused get into an earlier midlane roll, but the polished hybrid cover makes it much cleaner in the front part of the lane and helps to create a responsive backend reaction that’s explosive through the pins. Even though the out-of-box Reacta Gloss finish helps to create length and responsiveness, sometimes I find it also creates over/under reaction. As I often do with factory-polished balls, I lightly scuffed the surface with an older 2000-grit Abralon pad by hand to knock some of the factory shine off. Doing this helped on misses in the oil as the ball had a little bit more traction the dig out the 10-pin, and misses that got to the dry too early didn’t jerk as hard off the friction. By comparison, the original TNT reads the lane much earlier and is significantly smoother downlane, and the DUO is perhaps just a touch stronger than the Infused (due to the really strong MicroTrax pearl cover) but has a smoother motion off the friction. The TNT Infused is going to be a great ball for most everyone. It you want the earlier rolling benchmark-type reaction that the original TNT provided, but also want a more responsive downlane reaction, the TNT Infused is a no-doubter. For tournament players, this will be a great transition ball to go to after the Gem or Magic Gem. For league bowlers, I think the Infused is versatile ball that can be used all night, especially if you take just a little bit of factory shine off the cover.
