Additional product information:
The Bionic was engineered to be the ultimate symmetrical solution, an all-encompassing option capable of handling virtually any lane condition. Its proven NRG Hybrid coverstock formulation offers exceptional versatility, easily adjustable to match a wide range of surfaces and styles. At the heart of the Bionic lies a weight block design that simply made sense. The concept stemmed from creating a symmetrical evolution of the Element Max Core found in the Ion Max. After extensive testing, we maintained the integrity of the Ion Max’s performance DNA and “revolved” it into a highly dynamic symmetrical shape. The core features the same stacked ellipse structure that broadens toward the equator, a design strategically intended to be intersected during drilling, thereby increasing differential. As with the Ion Max, core dynamics respond more distinctly across various layouts, giving pro shop operators and bowlers alike more fine-tuned control. The center-heavy mass properties of the weight block help keep the RG low, while the addition of the flip block delivers that signature Storm torque effect off the end of the pattern, an unmistakable motion unmatched in today’s market.

Bionic Review
Ball Specs: Storm Bionic NRG Hybrid Reactive A.I. Symmetric Core Finish 4000 Grit Layout 4 x4 with 2” Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Bionic is a great new addition to the Storm line of balls. I feel I can recommend this ball to almost anyone and they will have success. The Bionic is a strong benchmark ball from what I am seeing and is useful on multiple conditions. I would describe mine as an original Phase 2 with a bit more hook and better backend. I have played around with the cover by adding polish and the change was less than I expected, probably because of the 4K box finish but I did get more length and backend. I then sanded the Bionic to 1000 / 2000 Abralon and I think that worked best for me. The ball was earlier, smoother and provided a bit more hook on our tighter house shot. The ball rolls and hits very good. I think the A.I. core is noticeable in this ball related to pin carry. I may ruffle some feathers, but this ball may replace my Phase 2 in my personal bag. The Bionic is already a great selling ball and has been winning on tour. The colors are also very appealing. I would put this ball below my Equinox Solid but above my HyRoad in total hook. Summary: The Bionic has a strong benchmark shape. The Balls is very user friendly. The Bionic could give the Phase 2 a challenge for fan favorite. BIONIC BY RGR
Storm BIONIC Ball specs: All new Torsion A.I. core wrapped in NRG hybrid coverstock with surface finish at 4000 grit. Layout: 4 x 4 x 1. My Specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 13/16th up 1/8th. Here is what’s up with the all new Storm Bionic for me: The all new Torsion A.I. core was to produce a smooth and controllable arc and the NRG hybrid cover provides balanced traction and takes surface adjustments very easily. The BIONIC is the next level to the already well received ION series. For me, the BIONIC is the most versatile and reliable ball I have used in many seasons, probably since the Roto Grip Hyped Hybrid that I used at so many leagues and tournaments a few years ago, and still have one drilled that is in my tournament arsenal. In all three centers I have used the BIONIC , which all have different lane surfaces, like Pro-Lane, HPL, and SPL, the ball has been nothing but awesome. In the centers that have HPL and Pro-Lanes, the back ends are cleaner and more crisp, I can open up the angles at the breakpoints and allow a little swing in the shot making, creating a stronger arc path into the pocket, which leads to better pin carry and better scores! On the center with SPL, the backends tend to be not as clean and with less friction on the panels, I can square up and tighten the shot making line and still have a strong entry into the pocket. Another wonderful item for noting is that I have been able to stay in the BIONIC most of the league nights, if not the whole night. My RockStar is still my #1 BALL since last year because of how strong and reliable it is, but the BIONIC is now the #2 BALL in my league bags, which now consist of: RockStar, BIONIC, Vengeance, Ion MAX Pearl, Gremlin, and Gremlin Tour-X. Check out stormbowling.com for all the latest information, ball specs, videos and great educational material for the sport of bowling. The Bionic is "Fire!"

Are you curious about what makes the Bionic such a great release? From my perspective, it’s the perfect blend of core and cover, melded together to improve any player’s game. So, let’s take a closer look at the Bionic and why it deserves a place in your arsenal! The all-new Torsion A.I. Core provides stability, consistency, and predictability for any straighter player’s game. I enjoyed the smooth mid-lane shape that the Torsion A.I. Core delivered and appreciated the consistent, steady motion I observed when the Bionic came off the pattern. However, I will say that the Bionic is more than a benchmark, predictable ball. With the addition of the flip block to the Torsion core, I enjoyed seeing the momentum build up and then explode at the pocket. Additionally, with the proven power of the A.I. technology surrounding the Torsion Core, I valued the strong pin-crushing continuation I saw with the Bionic! So, if you’re a straighter player like me, the Torsion A.I. Core is an excellent choice for your game. Now, let’s talk about the NRG Hybrid coverstock! Those who read my reviews know Hybrid coverstocks are my top choice for any THS pattern, as they offer the most versatility across different conditions I encounter. The NRG Hybrid coverstock on the Bionic delivers one of the best, most versatile Hybrid blends I’ve seen in the Storm line. I loved the smooth traction I experienced with the NRG Hybrid! On fresh conditions, with the box 4000-grit Abralon surface, the NRG Hybrid glides beautifully through the front of the lane and maintains a relaxed, smooth grip in the mid-lane, giving the Bionic plenty of time to make its move. Then, as the Bionic responds to the pattern, the NRG Hybrid provides a clean, crisp, and decisive turn that straighter players appreciate. Additionally, as a straighter player, I enjoyed how the NRG Hybrid effortlessly handled transitioning lane conditions and stayed consistent across all three league games. Keep in mind, you will need to keep moving in with the Bionic; however, with the NRG Hybrid coverstock, you can be confident those adjustments will produce the results you want. In conclusion, the Bionic is a fantastic new release from Storm. The younger generation will tell you the Bionic is “fire,” and older folks like me will say it’s a smoking new release! Either way, the new Storm Bionic is an excellent combination of Torsion A.I. Core and NRG Hybrid Coverstock that will deliver great results for any straight player like me. The Bionic is more versatile than a Phaze II and has more punch and pizazz to keep you striking. So, visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop today and have your Storm Bionic ready to help you wind down your fall season, because the Bionic will deliver! Had lots of hope for a new design, it appears that is great for dry to medium oily lanes. Very little reaction maybe I expected more reaction than the 900 global bowling ? ball

Bionic
Ball Specs: Bionic Review: The Storm Bionic (released February 27, 2026) is engineered as the ultimate symmetrical benchmark, bridging the gap between iconic balls like the Phaze II and the Ion series. It features the new Torsion™ A.I. Core, which "revolves" the stacked ellipse DNA of the Ion Max into a symmetrical shape, maintaining a low 2.47 RG for early stability while offering a strong .050 differential for significant flare and backend continuation. Wrapped in the proven NRG™ Hybrid Reactive coverstock and finished at 4000-grit Abralon, the Bionic provides a smooth, "read-everything" motion that is cleaner through the front than a solid but more digging than a pearl. This combination makes it a versatile "go-to" option for medium-to-heavy oil, offering the predictability of a symmetrical core with the signature Storm "torque" and pin-crushing power off the end of the pattern. Bionic
The Storm Bionic features the NRG Hybrid reactive cover wrapped around the new Torsion A.I. symmetrical core, coming in with a low RG (~2.47) and higher differential (~0.050), which gives it a strong midlane read with plenty of flare and continuation, all at a 4000-grit finish that keeps it clean but still very readable on medium to heavy oil . For me, this ball is exactly what I want in a true benchmark piece—it picks up in the midlane without being too early and gives me a smooth but strong arc that I can trust on just about anything. It feels stronger and more dynamic than something like a Phaze II, especially in terms of overall hook and continuation, but still keeps that same predictable shape that makes it easy to stay lined up. I’ve found it to be one of those balls I can start with and stick with for a while, because it blends the lane really well without getting jumpy or over/under, and when I need something that’s versatile but still has some teeth, the Bionic has been a really reliable option.

Storm Bionic
Storm Bionic - Master Line Coverstock: NRG Hybrid - 4000 Abralon Core: Torsion A. I. RG: 2. 47 Differential: . 050 Fragrance: Cherry Cobbler The Storm Bionic is a strong symmetric hybrid ball whose core is based upon the asymmetric Ion series. The Bionic is one of the strongest Symmetric balls that I have thrown in quite some time. The cover feels very strong and grips the lane early, but with the core, it is able to retain enough energy to hook down lane as well. For me this is a slight step down from the Ion Max solid, and make a great 1-2 punch for heavier oil. Also with now 3 wins on the PBA tour so far this season, it may be ball of the YEAR!

Storm Bionic
Storm Bionic Ball Review The Storm Bionic features a new core design called Torsion AI which is built off the Ion Max weight block but in a symmetrical version. Its wrapped with the NRG Hybrid Coverstock RG-2.47 Diff-.050 Surface-4000 Grit Abralon Layout VLS-5x4.5x2.5 I found the Bionic to be a very versatile piece in my arsenal and it takes cover changes very well. In the polish state its very clean with a very responsive motion on the backend and with more surface it reads the midlane very well with strong continuation on the backend. For me the Bionic will be a step down when my Ion Max is too strong and my Phaze 2 or Ion Pro balls aren't strong enough. The Bionic will be a ball i will use on longer patterns or heavier volume patterns.
