Additional product information:
The SPI LAB Series introduces the Concept, our next innovative release that reverses the narrative on how core/cover combinations are developed for challenging patterns. The ARC Cover has the highest coefficient of friction (COF) values and is right at the USBC limit on oil absorption time. With the Concept the coverstock acts as both the engine and the tires, while the Radius Weight Block behaves as the traction control - making sure the ball stays on-line to find the pocket. Since the coverstock is so strong and the weight block is very conservative in terms of RG/Diff, the Concept never wants to "lock up" or go forward down the lane. Even though the diff is very low, the cover technology ensures the ball does not carry oil down the lane as urethane is known to do. The cover forces the ball to continue hooking through the pins. The Concept, in the 14 - 16 pound weights, is a two-piece ball with a thick resin shell. The thicker shell raises the coefficient of restitution (COR) which has been shown to create more lively pin action./p>

Wow. That's a Concept.
I really appreciate the Storm Concept. I have never really been able to through Urethane in the past effectively. I always had to rely on surface and big hooking balls to control the downlane motion. That could lead to some carry issues. Then the concept came along and made me a believer. While I don’t think it is a ball that I would normally use in league, I gave it a try. It allowed me to play to the right and not overhook downlane. This surface really digs in and the ball does not flare much. I recommend drilling with stronger pin to PAPs this will help the ball flare and give you fresh coverstock to roll over. Where this ball really shined for me is on the 36foot sport pattern my league is bowling on. I am able to play around 5 and have some miss area. This ball really has good continuation where urethane would be a flat 10, the Concept knocks them down. I am really pleased with this ball.

CONCEPT
NEW MOTION STRIKES! This one is going to fill a gap that we haven’t seen yet. Stronger than a 78U with more down lane motion. Good shape but still controllable. Personally feel like for harder tournament patterns this ball is going to be in play A LOT! Very continuous through the pins, controllable through the mid lane. Do yourself a favor and put this ball in your tournament bag!

Interesting Concept
The Concept made me scratch my head at first, 2.61, .020 Diff and 1000 Grit Surface on a Pearl Reactive Coverstock. I watched the videos at the seminar when they were comparing it to the Pitch Black, Level and IQ Tour but was not really sure if it would be a ball that would fit me. After using it on the fresh at a tournament, I can honestly say this was more impressive than just watching it in a video. I am very tempted to try it on a league night just because well why not. If you are a Level owner I think you will like this ball as an addition to it.

Minimal Logo, What a Concept!
Core - AI Core Radius RG - 2.61, Diff - .018 ARC Pearl Coverstock Layout 3 3/8 x 4 x 2 The Concept maintains continuous motion and has strong hook through the pins. I felt like the Concept resisted the tendency to roll forward. It seems very different to what is out there today. It is smooth but acts like urethane and eliminates the noise about carry down like urethane. Out of the box I bowled on a typical house shot pattern. I was uncertain on my expectations after a few shots I was mixed on the ball reaction and hit the surface with 800 abralon. First day in league with the new finish, I shot 711 and used the ball for all 3 games with minimal movement. I have had the opportunity to throw the purple and black ball in the past and the Concept has a better down lane finishing result. I feel this ball has predictable motion with consistent carry through the pins. As a pro shop operator, I feel the Concepts cover is tunable for all types of bowlers and lane conditions to definitely achieve their expectations. Whether you are a slow roller or high rev rate player, the Concept can give the desired shape and results on all conditions. I will definitely have multiple layouts of this ball in my tournament bag!
