Additional product information:
The Typhoon marked a successful revival of the iconic Storm Hot line. While it excelled on drier conditions, it quickly became clear it needed a stronger partner to tackle heavier oil. Enter the Monsoon — built to handle more volume with confidence. Featuring a Reactor Solid coverstock finished at 2000-grit Abralon, the Monsoon creates a wider footprint on the lane, delivering more traction on medium oil conditions. Inside, the Atmos A.I. Core strikes the ideal balance of length and torque at the breakpoint, while our A.I. outer core technology unlocks a unique RG/Diff combination rarely seen in a core of this shape. Add in up to a 5% higher strike percentage on off-pocket hits, and you’ve got the perfect companion piece for conquering a wide range of medium oil patterns.

Storm Monsoon
Storm Monsoon 3 1/2x5x2. Symmetrical Solid. This was my first ball video on a house shot and it was after second shift so they were pretty chopped up. The Monsoon is super smooth and controllable. I drilled it for tournaments when the patterns are flatter and I need something to be very smooth and not be flippy off the end of the pattern. Monsoon is definitely a step down from the Vengeance and Rockstar but I can still see myself using it on the fresh or even going to this as a transition ball from one of my bigger balls. I am super excited to see this Monsoon go down the lanes for me in future events. Get yours today at your local Storm VIP Pro Shop. #stormnation

Best bang for your buck bowling ball!
This ball is the best bang for your buck ball! You get a ton of performance for a lot of hook potential! The Storm Monsoon bowling ball is designed as a stronger, more controllable option in Storm’s Hot line, built specifically to handle medium oil lane conditions with confidence. It features a Reactor™ solid coverstock with a 2000-grit finish, which helps the ball dig into the lane earlier and create more traction, giving bowlers a smoother and more predictable motion through the midlane. Inside, the Atmos A.I. core provides a balanced combination of length and continuation, meaning the ball doesn’t burn up too early but still delivers a reliable backend reaction. Overall, the Monsoon is known for its controlled hook shape and consistency, making it a good choice for bowlers who want a dependable read on slightly heavier conditions without an overly aggressive or jerky motion.

Monsoon
The Monsoon is Storm’s newest addition to the Hot Line series. It complements the Typhoon, which is the pearl, so a solid version is now introduced. The Monsoon is featured with the Reactor Solid cover stock, along with the Atmos AI Core. This symmetrical solid is designed to read the lanes earlier on higher oil volume patterns when the Typhoon is not reacting strong enough down lane. Ball layout: 50 x 5 x 35. Test pattern: 42ft league house shot. My first initial reaction to throwing the Monsoon is, wow this ball can throw a lot of strikes!! The best part about this ball is it blends the pattern out so smoothly with no initial over reaction. For a solid ball, despite picking up early in the oil, it doesn’t over hook and still creates a smooth shape into the pocket. Even throwing it out into the friction early, it doesn’t jump as fast as solid covers normally would. The Monsoon would be a great addition to add to your arsenal for tournaments contested on medium-heavy lane conditions, as well as for leagues on higher volume. You saw the record setting numbers done on the PBA Tour, now’s your chance to try it yourself. Head out to your local Storm VIP Pro Shop and drill up a Monsoon today! A Storm is brewin’!!

The Monsoon combines the balanced and stable Atmos A.I. Core with Storm’s proven coverstock staple, the Reactor Solid Coverstock. Together, this core/cover combination makes the Monsoon a fantastic choice for many styles of bowlers. So, let’s take a closer look at what makes the Monsoon a success! The Atmos A.I. Core is a well-balanced, powerful machine that drives the Monsoon! As a straighter player, I love how the Atmos A.I. Core revs confidently in the mid-lane and delivers a crisp, decisive turn off the pattern I can depend on. And unlike NON-A.I. symmetrical cores that tend to run out or deflect when they strike the pocket, the A.I. technology in the Atmos A.I. Core provides a lot of “pop” and power as it strikes the pins. Straighter, low-rev players will love kicking out those weak corner-pin hits with the strong torque the Atmos A.I. Core provides. And with its hard-rolling continuation, the Atmos A.I. Core makes the Monsoon a great fit for any straighter, low-rev player like me. The Reactor Solid Coverstock gives the Monsoon a unique, powerful shape and motion that many bowlers appreciate. For straighter players like me, on a fresh THS, I liked how the Monsoon grips the lane with smooth, blending traction without being overly aggressive. The Reactor Solid provides a clean, predictable mid-lane motion, giving the Atmos A.I. Core plenty of time to rev up and store energy that unleashes at the pins. Further, one great advantage I found with the Reactor Solid Coverstock was that it allowed me, as a straighter, low-rev player, to move in and create angles with confidence as the night went on. I had a lot of fun moving past the third arrow and chasing the shim-line, as my Monsoon had the same crisp, predictable motion I had when the night first started between the first and second arrows. So, if you’re a straighter, low-rev player, the Reactor Solid Coverstock is a great choice to fit your game! In closing, Storm has continued to drive the success of the Hot Live Series with the Monsoon. The Monsoon is an excellent combination of Atmos A.I. Core and Reactor Solid Coverstock, making it a great ball for any straighter, low-rev player’s arsenal. Furthermore, the Monsoon will be an excellent choice for junior bowlers at a price parents can afford. The Monsoon makes a great stand-alone choice for your THS league night and will also complement the Typhoon, giving you an arsenal to use week after week! So, stop into your local Storm VIP Pro shop today and have your Monsoon ready for your summer leagues. The Monsoon is well worth the purchase! Storm Monsoon - Hot Line Coverstock: Reactor Solid - 2000 Abralon Core: Atmos A.I. RG: 2.53 Differential: .042 (15 lbs) Fragrance: Grapple Layout: 5 x 5 x 2.25 PAP: 6" Right, 1 3/8" Up Axis Tilt: 16° Rotation: 51° Rev Rate: 450-500 Speed: 17-18 mph Location: Vista Lanes - Yorkville, NY Pattern: Kegel Carbon Lane Surface: Anvilane A storm is brewing and the Monsoon is coming to the Hot Line. With the success of the Typhoon on lighter oil conditions, it was clear that a stronger version was needed to complement it, so the Monsoon was created to fill that void. The Monsoon features the Atmos A.I. core with the Reactor Solid cover at 2000 Abralon. On the leftover house pattern, I had a good look sliding on 27, looking 16 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 7-8. I was able to move further left by decreasing my ball speed and increasing my tilt. When compared to the Typhoon, the Monsoon was a couple feet sooner and had a smoother back end reaction. When you need a little more traction on light to medium conditions, the Monsoon will be an excellent choice. During league, I can see the Monsoon working well because it will allow me to stay further right and blend the over/under. I believe the Monsoon will be a good fit for many bowlers that are in search of a high performance ball at a lower price point. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! TESTING ENVIRONMENT Type: Lakes Bowl House Shot BALL: Storm Monsoon Coverstock: Reactor Solid Reactive Core: Atmos™ A.I. Core Finish: 2000 Grit RG: 2.53 (14 lb) Differential: 0.039 (14 lb) MB/PSA: NA (14 lb) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 14–15 mph Rev Rate: 220 PAP: 6 3/16 → ¾ Up Layout: 50x4.75x50 Storm released the Monsoon as part of the Hot Line revival. It uses the Atmos A.I. core with Reactor Solid coverstock and a 2000-grit finish, which helps it read the midlane earlier and stay predictable. Storm positions it for medium oil and bowlers wanting consistency. What I saw with this ball was its benchmark/control piece type of reaction. Just remember that this is the solid version of the Typhoon. This ball will fit the league bowler that wants movement without buying a top shelf ball. I did not see this ball ideal if you need max hook on heavy oil….it will need some friction. If you need a dependable league ball and don’t want to spend premium money, the Monsoon is a smart pickup. It looks especially good for bowlers building a first serious arsenal. Thanks for reading and watching!
