The Black Dragon quickly became a favorite among both customers and our team, thanks to its outstanding performance. Demand for this ball far exceeded our expectations, making it a challenge to keep in stock. Now, we are thrilled to introduce its partner—the Black Dragon Pearl. With its bold red hue infused with a touch of darkness and the iconic Dragon logo, the Black Dragon Pearl is designed to leave a lasting impression. Equipped with the pearl version of the Scorch cover, this ball delivers unmatched versatility, slicing through the lane with ease from virtually any angle. The Black Dragon Pearl is poised to become a cornerstone of the SWAG lineup, continuing the legacy of the Black Dragon and setting a new standard for performance in the years to come.
DESIGN INTENT:
Speed > Revs - The Black Dragon Pearl sets a new standard for bowlers with higher speeds who want to achieve consistent backend ball motion. Its innovative Dragon core, featuring a 2.48 RG, .054 differential, and .018 mass bias strength, delivers exceptional power and performance typically found in higher-priced options. Paired with the Scorch Pearl coverstock, this ball offers unmatched backend strength and control for lower rev bowlers, making it a dependable choice for speed-dominant players. Designed for consistent and predictable strong motion, the Black Dragon is the perfect go-to ball for assessing lane conditions with confidence.
Balanced Speed & Revs - During our testing, balanced bowlers loved the Black Dragon Pearl for its strong backend, great control, impressive hitting power, and solid performance on heavy oil lanes. They were able to stick with it longer than other strong balls during league play. The Scorch Pearl cover, paired with the powerful Dragon core, is built for versatility, making it easy for bowlers to adjust to different angles as the lanes change. This design lets them confidently stick with their go-to ball, even on fresh oil, without needing to make a switch.
Rev > Speed - The Dragon Pearl bowling ball is a game-changer for rev-dominant bowlers, thanks to its intelligently designed core. If you’ve ever struggled with too much forward motion down lane when using traditional asymmetrical balls, you’re not alone. A lot of those balls have overly dramatic core shapes, like big protruding discs, which can make them tricky to control. The Dragon’s Asymmetrical Core is here to fix that.

Great Asym pearl
The Swag Dragon Pearl is a clean and explosive pearl that really shines when the lanes start to open up. It glides effortlessly through the heads, storing plenty of energy before making a sharp, confident move downlane. The pearl coverstock creates excellent length without feeling uncontrollable, making it ideal for medium oil conditions or when you need something to get through transition. What stands out most is the continuation through the pins. The Dragon Pearl drives hard and keeps going, creating impressive carry and strong entry angles. Whether you're looking to open up the lane or need a reliable step-down option, this ball delivers versatility, pop, and eye-catching performance.

Swag black dragon pearl
I have this drilled up at 55x5x45 and for me being a speed dominant, rev dominant player this is a ball I pull out when I need to put up big numbers I am averaging 243 for 18 games on it I love the way it gets through the fronts and mid lanes and the motion that comes off the back with a continuous is unbelievable

SWAG Pearl Dragon
This ball is nothing short of incredible. From the moment it hits the rack, the shelf appeal is off the charts. The colors, finish, and design demand attention—and everywhere I bowl, it gets compliments before I ever throw my first shot. I’ve owned and thrown some of the best equipment on the market over the years, and I can honestly say the SWAG Dragon Pearl belongs in that elite category. In fact, it stands shoulder to shoulder with—and in some cases outperforms—many of the top balls I’ve rolled in recent seasons. On the lanes, this ball is a true hidden gem: ? Effortless length through the fronts ? Smooth, controlled midlane read ? Explosive yet predictable backend ? Outstanding carry and continuation It gives you confidence shot after shot. When the lanes start to transition, the Dragon Pearl keeps reading the pattern and finishing strong—no guessing, no overreaction, just pure performance. What really sets it apart is the balance between power and control. You can open your angles when needed, or square up and play tight—it responds beautifully either way. If you’re serious about improving your game and building a winning arsenal, this ball is a must-have. If you don’t own the Dragon Pearl yet, you’re missing one of bowling’s best-kept secrets. ? Get your hands on a Dragon… and tame the lanes. ??

Swag Black Dragon Pearl
The Swag Dragon Pearl is a great ball that delivers a smooth, continuous motion downlane with a mild and predictable response to friction. It doesn’t overreact when it sees the dry, which makes it very controllable and easy to trust, especially on medium conditions or when the lanes start to transition. With the 55 × 4 × 35 layout I used, the ball rolled strong in the midlane and continued through the pins without quitting. The shape was more arcing than flippy, providing excellent carry while keeping me out of trouble when I missed a little right. Overall, the Swag Dragon Pearl is a great choice for bowlers looking for a reliable pearl that blends the lane well and offers consistent motion from shot to shot. It’s a solid option for league or tournament play when you need control with enough pop to finish.

A perfect step-down from the Black Dragon Solid!
PAP - 3 3/4” right, 1/2” up DAS - 50 x 4 x 30 I threw it on a a typical house shot, medium oil, league conditions. I’m more speed dominant, throwing about 15.5mph, with a medium rev rate. I typically play down-and-in, targeting between 5 and 15, depending on lane condition. The best way for me to explain its motion is to compare it to Black Dragon Solid, which for me is drilled 50 x 3 1/4 x 30. It is a perfect step-down from the Solid. The Pearl slid through where the Solid reacted, and offered more motion on the backend. For me, the Solid was rounder with more of a mid-lane read and offered more an arc-like motion. The Pearl, in contrast, saved more of its energy moving through the heads and made its turn (NOT in a hockey-stick motion) closer to the pins. Both balls deliver pin-crushing results.

Continuous Hook Ball!
My Swag Black Dragon Pearl is the perfect step down from the Black Dragon Solid when the lanes start to break down. While the solid handles the early traction, the pearl picks up right where it leaves off—cleaner through the front, but still offering a strong, continuous motion off the spot. It delivers the same dependable shape with added length and pop, making it an ideal complement when you need power without early hook.

Down lane hook monster
60/4/30 Hook monster for a pearl. This ball I put my standard layout and man does this ball come off the spot. It has good length down lane and then rips off the down lane target. Compared to the solid, this ball hooks a lot more down lane and has a hockey stick shape. The colors define fire and the asymmetric core kicks in and hits like a fiery beast. Make sure to get you a Dragon shammy to clean the beast before each throw.

Just WOW!
My Swag Black Dragon Pearl is drilled 45 x 5 x 70, and I still can't believe the level of control this ball gives me. From the very first game, I noticed how versatile and predictable it is, making it a go-to option no matter how the lanes transition. The motion is smooth through the front, strong in the mid-lane, and the way it drives through the pins is simply incredible—it's the kind of hit that makes you stop and stare. In fact, during one league night, a bowler six lanes down actually came over and asked me what I was throwing because he could hear the ball smashing the pins all the way from where he was. That's the kind of power and continuation this ball delivers. The Black Dragon Pearl is more than hype—it's performance you can feel and hear. Trust me, get one and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Beware the Black Dragon Pearl
After the Black Dragon solid release in January, I was highly anticipating this release and it has not disappointed. I laid the ball out the same as my Dragon solid (pin above bridge and mass bias a couple inches right of my thumb toward my PAP) and the Dragon pearl is cleaner, a little more length down the lane but still the same powerful turn to the pocket I had fallen in love with. Pin carry is phenomenal, the motion is strong and predictable and control is easy. It’s a ball that can handle fresh oil conditions in the event that the Dragon solid is a bit too much or too early. It really handles the transition with ease and can either be the first ball out of the bag or an easy ball to step down to after the original Black Dragon. The Dragon Pearl is a beautiful color with the red/black swirl. Tremendous follow up release to the solid and one that should not be overlooked.
