The Raptor Pursuit was built to soar where other high-performance MOTIV balls could not. When building a ball to create traction in heavier volumes of oil, there’s a tradeoff. Creating friction in the front and middle of the lane sacrifices ball motion down-lane. And when you’re looking for length and angle on the backend, that’s not ideal.

The Raptor Pursuit, with the massive symmetrical Affliction V2 core and the incredibly clean Aerial Propulsion pearl coverstock, is a unique combination. It gives bowlers a stable core, plus incredible length and speed downlane. The Raptor Pursuit was built for those who set their sights higher!

The Affliction V2 core is the strongest symmetrical core used by MOTIV bowling. Its low RG helps the Raptor Pursuit rev quickly, giving the ball plenty of stability and control. The high differential of .055 means there is no shortage of flare potential. Many bowlers automatically reach for an asymmetrical ball when they want high-performance strength. But asymmetry isn’t always the answer.

Wrapped around the Affliction V2 core is the Aerial Propulsion Pearl Reactive coverstock. The Propulsion coverstock system has become a proven staple of the MOTIV pearl lineup for generating length and response to friction. The Aerial Propulsion Pearl shell is the second cleanest cover in the Propulsion line behind only the Dark Matter Propulsion shell found on the Nebula. That cleanliness was intentional. We wanted a shell that would conserve energy and unleash down-lane. The Raptor Pursuit offers a huge core, clean cover, and violent finish!

When to Use

Speed Dominant - For speed dominant bowlers, this is likely a ball for dryer lanes that can provide the hook and pop needed when balanced bowlers are using a ball like the Nebula. More flare means more fresh shell on the lane for the speed dominant bowler. Additionally, the low rg means that the core is going to rev up far easier than other balls with covers this clean.

Balanced - The Raptor Pursuit will be an early angular ball for balanced bowlers to use when the smoother covers and earlier reading balls force them in, but don’t provide enough pop down lane to carry the corners.

Rev Dominant - For the bowlers with the most revs or the least speed, the Raptor Pursuit is going to be the angular ball they transition to after the fresh, when there is still plenty of oil on the lanes compared to friction. The Raptor Pursuit will be a great step up from a Nebula when the friction hasn't quite developed as much and you need more strength in the oil without sacrificing down lane reaction.
