Additional product information:
We're excited to introduce a brand-new coverstock material, RB 89 Solid Reactive coverstock, that we have not used before. It is one of the cleanest materials we have ever produced. Made to get through the front of the lane much easier than previous materials.
The solid version was chosen to give people a clean look through the front of the lane with predictability downlane instead of a clean and sideways motion like you would normally see.
Purposely engineered for medium heavy to heavy oil.
The Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core makes it more even rolling with more mass towards the center and less towards the poles.
With great continuation, this is a great option for bowling centers with a lot of friction. We created this ball with some of the older lane panels in mind.

Pretty Smooth
The Origin EX’s new coverstock really had me intrigued from the start. I love solids in general and to have a cover that clears the front part of the lane especially in some places that have a lot more friction. The fact that this ball is asymmetrical and is as smooth as it is could be a gamechanger for tournament arsenals. I definitely noticed it when I went to use the ball in my last night of league it was more tame than I anticipated.

Origin Review
Drilled my 900 Global Origin Ex (4 x 4 x 2). Medium Rev rate and medium speed bowler. The 900 Global Origin Ex is silky smooth through the front part of the lane storing energy to make a controlled strong movement coming off the end of the pattern crushing the pins as the 900 Global Origin Ex drives through the pin deck. The 900 Global Origin Ex will be a great first game ball on a medium oil pattern. #stormnation #SquadRG #strikingworldwide

900 Global Origin Ex Review
The 900 Global Origin Ex features the RB 89 Solid Reactive cover, Ellipse Asymmetric A.I. Core, and comes at 2000-grit finish. This is the newest Origin in the 900 Global line and is a solid version of the original origin. Even though this is a solid version it was designed to be a cleaner cover for the everyday house shot. Compared to the original Origin, the Ex will not be as responsive down lane and more control. For me, the original is much more responsive and quicker off the spot. I will be pairing the Origin ex with the Rockstar a lot in my bag. When the Rockstar feels like it isn’t making the corner I can get the Origin Ex out for that situation. The Ex should sit between the X-Cell and Absolute Power and be a ball down from the Hyperdrive and ION Max. This is going to be a home run from 900 Global! NEW 900 Global Origin EX
900 Global Origin EX Layout: 4.5 x 4.0 x 2 Storm Pin Buffer Layout Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane 900 Global Harsh Origin EX utilizes the Reserve Batch 89 Blend solid coverstock and the new Ellipse AI core. The Origin EX is the smooth version of its predecessor the 900 Global Origin. The Origin is one of my favorite all-time releases so the Origin EX has big shoes to fill. The two balls are completely different, which is a good thing. The EX is much smoother in terms of ball motion. If used on the correct oil patterns or conditions, I believe the EX is going to fit in most bags. I see the EX being similar to my Roto Grip Attention Star S2. I also get Roto Grip Reign of Fire vibes. I do think the EX will favor high rev, high speed bowlers. I am not saying the EX won’t have a place for the rest of us, but I see it being a favorite for our two-handed friends. I am looking forward to throwing the EX on some different oil patterns in coming months. Visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop! #Stormnation #SquadRG

Origin EX
TESTING ENVIRONMENT Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): USBC Queens BALL: 900 Global Orgin EX Coverstock: Reserve Blend 89 Core: : Ellipse A.I. Core Finish: 2000 Abralon Grit RG: 2.49 (14 Pounds) Differential: 0.050 (14 Pounds) MB/PSA: 0.020 (14 Pounds) ME: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 13-14 mph Rev Rate: 210 PAP: 5 1/2 right 1/4 up Ball Layout: 50x4½x60 Origin 2.0 Maybe??? I tend to not show off a new ball under a sport pattern as many players are looking at these reviews and videos and do not throw on harder shots. The OG Origin was a shiny hybrid, but this new EX has some teeth and wants to dig in but is very clean upfront and that might have been my biggest shock as I played and moved around the lane. This ball is getting a lot of air time at the PBA Playoffs and after throwing it I can see why. I was using my Exponent Solid as the test ball and found the EX to be 5-6 boards stronger so I now have a ball that will allow me to get left and have the confidence from that zone. Origin EX Review
Ball Specs: Global Origin EX 89 Blend Solid Reactive Asymmetric Core Finish 2000 Abralon Layout 4 x 4.5 with 2” Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The new Origin EX is different than any ball I have, but in a good way. I rolled the Origin EX at box finish and the 2000 finish look is deceiving. This ball did not react too soon and had a nice move when it got to the break point. This ball rolled equally good in the oil as well as in the friction. I expected a hook monster from the look, but I got a ball with predictability and hit when my Level is not enough or gives up on the back end. This ball has the hit that I love on my original Origin. I do not understand why I don’t see more people using the original around here. They are missing out! I think EX will sell better due to the dull surface even if I’m not sold on the color of the ball. I do understand the color blend was chosen for the performance target. Bowlers need to understand the Origin EX is not another hook in a box but has a purpose of control when you want a dull ball on higher friction lanes. The Origin EX is stronger than my Hustle Xray but much weaker than my Hyperdrive. Summary: This ball is a dull control ball for high friction lanes. The predictability and carry are very good. The Origin EX should be a ball that keeps you out of trouble on demanding conditions. Glenn Wendel Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com
