Additional product information:

The Portal represents a different approach to a 900 Series ball. The all-new Conduit core will clear the front part of the lane better than any ball in the current Global line. The purposely engineered high RG/high Diff core will ignore the traffic in the heads and maintain its energy for one of the sharpest backends the Global brand has ever seen. The stronger RB92 cover was strategically used to ensure optimal traction. This all-new cover enhances the quick response time of the core.

    900 global portal

Posted by Jordan Blair on Oct 23rd 2026

900 Global Portal is special! The Portal has a high RG and a high differential. This creates a unique ball motion in the 900 Global line. This ball can clear the front of the lane and save its energy for what comes next. Its purpose is simple: get through the heads, retain energy, and create a sharp move down lane that gives you another option when you need it. At the heart of Portal is the all-new Conduit AI Core. Its high RG and high differential are designed to help the ball ignore traffic in the heads and maintain its energy for the backend. Paired with the stronger RB 92 Solid cover, the core gets the traction it needs while the cover helps enhance its quick response time. The result is one of the sharpest backend reactions the Global brand has ever seen. Get yours today at The Armory Pro Shop! Definitely different

Posted by Nicole Wilson on Oct 22nd 2026

The Portal is definitely a different kind of solid! With my 45 × 4¼ × 35 layout, this ball gets through the fronts really well and saves a lot of energy for the backend. What stands out to me about the Portal is how clean it is for a solid. It doesn’t want to read super early, but once it sees friction, it makes a strong move downlane. I like having something like this in my bag for when I need to get farther left and create more angle without the ball burning up too early. If you’re looking for a solid that gives you length and a strong backend motion, the Portal is definitely worth checking out!

    Portal

Posted by Chase Valenzuela on Oct 22nd 2026

Portal is the newest innovation from 900 Global, and it really is different than anything else on the market. A high RG, high diff core paired with a strong solid cover makes for an interesting and unique shape. The shell provides consistency front-to-back, while the high-flaring core provides a huge move off the spot. This ball has been great for me on medium friction when clean, snappy stuff is too over/under but normal solid stuff is too early or too slow. Portal fills this unique gap, and the result is a ball that rolls like a Hy-Road with a weight hole; clean, high flaring, and easy to float down the lane with a huge move off the spot to battle any hang to the right. Portal has been a great option for me on blended friction, and when it matches up, there is no other shape like it in my bag. -Chase Valenzuela

    Portal infinite possibilities

Posted by Sean Gruetter on Oct 18th 2026

900 global Portal specs Core: Conduit AI Cover stock: RB92 solid Finish: Power Edge Hardness 74-76 14 Lb. RG 2.62 Diff 0.049 PSA 0.018 Pap: 5 9/16 left and1 1/2 up left handed high rev rate ball speed 14.5 mph
The Portal will bring INFINITE POSSIBILITIES to your bag! The Portal is clean and reliable through the front part of the lane while still giving you a nice continuous and predictable response at the break point to get you through the pins. The Portal makes a great bench mark ball, and feels like it could be a clean Ion Max solid. My layout DA 90x2 1/4x45 gives me a predictable shape that I can trust. On a heavier oil shot I can stay outside and control the pocket, but I can also move in with the Portal as the lane transitions without feeling like I’ve completely lost control of the pocket. If you are looking for a ball that give you strong readable motion and plenty of versatility look no further 900 global Portal is the ball for you. Head on down to your local pro shop and get yours today.

    Portal

Posted by Michael Slatky on Oct 16th 2026

900 Global Portal Coverstock: RB 92 Solid Finish: Power Edge Core: Conduit A.I. (14 pd) RG: 2.61 Differential: 0.049 Int Diff: 0.018 Layout: 4 x 4 x 3 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, "X" - 4 1/2 D and 1 Inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The 900 Global Portal features the all new Conduit A.I. core technology. If you have had an opportunity to view the core you will see that it stands very tall and closer to the surface of the ball. This basically informs the bowler that the Portal will provide a strong shape closer to the end of the pattern. For my review, I compared the 900 Global Portal to the Storm Next Factor. If we need to go revisit 900 Global history you would be looking at the 900 Global Flux circa 2019 to find something close-ish. However, the comparison is not overly useful in my humble opinion with the changes in lane conditioner technology, etc. The Storm Next Factor is still a ball that on discontinued list many pro shops still seek for clients. The Portal is a hot new ball for the arsenal that will provide bowlers with slower ball speeds and rev dominant tendencies an edge for league competition. As a 900 Global guy, the Portal cover/core combination is new and a bit unique from what we normally see. Although the Next Factor fit a spot in the bag, the Portal combination is even better overall. I haven’t touched the surface yet either, but folks with higher speeds are reporting a 3K surface touch is what the bowling doctor orders for the Portal. To note, if you are looking to get through the fronts on older lane beds at your center the Portal all the way is a good ball to consider. So where will Portal work best? It will work best as a featured number two ball in your arsenal. This is due to the ball wanting to save motion until later down the lane. I’m extremely impressed with this offering from 900 Global. At recent SPI MatchMakers, the Portal has been an absolute hit. Most clients after the lanes break down are liking what they are seeing. SPI has really offered something newer here to combat aging lane conditions and changing bowling environments. Please be sure to visit your favorite pro shop today! Portal

Posted by Devon Radford on Oct 16th 2026

Introducing the new Portal by 900 Global! The layout on this ball is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 2 (60 x 4 3/4 x 30 using the dual angle layout). This ball shocked me, in amazing way. The new Conduit core is designed to save energy for the back part of the lane, along with the RB92 coverstock to create that traction needed from a solid, and finished with Power Edge shine to it. I used this ball after rolling with the Perfect Gem, because the lanes were transitioning quickly. But, this Portal provides length and a predictable motion off the spot and drives through the pins. Think of an Ion Pro Solid but more cleaner and more response downlane. This ball will definitely be in my bag for league and tournaments to help me with transition! And don’t be afraid to use some surface on this Portal if you are looking for an earlier yet predictable motion. If you are missing something from your bag like this, make sure you go and grab this from your local Storm VIP pro shop!

    900 Global Portal

Posted by Dannial Cohen on Oct 15th 2026

900 Global Portal Welcome to the 900 Global Portal Ball Review The Portal is a brand new core design with AI technology wrapped with the RB 92 Solid Coverstock The portal is designed to be clean through the fronts and creates a sharp backend motion. RG 2.59 Diff .050 Int Diff .019 Core-Asymmetrical Finish-Poweredge Polish Layout-4.5x4.5x2 using VLS layout System The portal will be a great option when the lane has gone through transition and you need length but still that strong recovery on the backend Even though the Portal is a high RG design is still has nice quick response at the breakpoint and doesn’t miss the spot I compared the Portal to the Vengeance returns and returns was earlier but didn’t have the backend motion that the portal offered I feel if Viking Conquest is to early and returns doesn’t have enough backend the portal will be a great option

    Tournament must have!

900 Global Portal Cover: RB92 solid Core: Conduit A.I. Length, free push and recovery. A must have for the burn, high friction houses or slower ball speeds like me. The 2.59 RG gives me a great push. Reminds of the Next Factor but a touch earlier and more aggressive off the spot, 5 deeper on the lane. Definitely has a hard arc and I noticed the more axis rotation I give it the more it screams off the spot. Great medium to medium dry for my style. Very readable ball motion. Layout of 85 x 4" x 35. I need skid up front and this ball gives me that without any surface change. Must have for a tournament arsenal. Joe Arvai 900 Global Pro Shop Staff

    900 Global Portal

Posted by Scott K. on Oct 12th 2026

Bowler Specs: One-handed | 14.5 MPH | 350 RPM | 5 × 5 × 3 | Normal House Shot The 900 Global Portal is a great option for bowlers looking for a strong, versatile ball with a smooth, controllable motion and plenty of continuation through the pins. With my 14.5 MPH ball speed and 350 rev rate, the Portal's drilled layout gives me a setup to evaluate for a consistent midlane read and a strong move downlane. On a normal house shot, the Portal is worth considering when you need a ball that can handle oil while still providing a dependable shape toward the pocket. It can be a good choice when your benchmark ball starts losing its effectiveness and you need something stronger. Bottom Line: The 900 Global Portal is worth a look for bowlers wanting a strong, versatile option in their arsenal. Make sure its motion complements the equipment you already own before making the investment.

Didn't think I needed this, but

Posted by Mike Walker on Oct 8th 2026

Right Hand - 15.5 mph down lane, 335 +/-, PAP 4.75, 1/2 up, layout is 4.5x3x2. I have bowled on a house shot at Bowlero Edmond, OK and used on one game on a 40ft, 29.3ml challenge shot. The 900 Global Portal is a ball worth looking at if you want a strong, continuous motion that can help you control the pocket without sacrificing hitting power. The portal gets you through the fronts with a very strong and angular action to the pocket! Every bowler type can and should throw this ball. League bowlers looking for a ball that fits a useful spot in their arsenal. Tournament players who need to match ball motion to changing lane conditions. And, bowlers who prefer control and who favor a predictable motion over a violent change of direction. I used this ball for the first time in league play and used it for all three games. I went 268, 257, 234 for a 759 and only moved 10 board with my feet, which is typically much more. This ball works! And the solid red cover looks amazing going down the lane. The 900 Global Portal deserves consideration if you're looking for a ball that can give you a dependable read and a strong motion through the pins. It gets through the fronts cleanly, has a defined backend and likes the transition. Thanks, Mike Walker
