Additional product information:

DV8 is primed and ready for a big year! Hell Raiser Return and Damn Good Verge have been great performers and have turned some heads already. The new mid-performance Activ8 will carry on what these two balls have started for the brand this year. Activ8 looks fantastic; it's a shiny, symmetric ball that will work great when the lanes break down and incredibly well for high-rev and 2-hand players.

    A wonderful benchmark option

Posted by Jeffrey Poholsky on Oct 6th 2021

I cannot say enough great things about this ball. It's controllable, continuous, hits hard, and versatile. The hybrid coverstock along with symmetric core is a perfect combination. There are more aggressing hybrids such as the Brunswick Zenith hybrid, but you will gain comfort in this piece from the first time you throw it. I have used it on short and medium sport patterns, and on a longer league pattern, Kegel Stonestreet. Actually shot 300 & 800 a short time ago with it on that pattern. Mine is drilled pin above ring finger with a 35 degree VAL angle. Out of the box finish is more than enough to make this ball work the way it is designed. This can be the first ball out of your bag on many types of lane conditions. Another winner from DV8 bowling, add one to your arsenal today! Jeff Poholsky Brunswick Regional Staff

For a pear coverstock, this piece allows me to stay straighter when the fronts go. As a left hander good pearls can be hard to come by, but this ball has shown me it's versatility by scoring big games on 32ft and 43ft patterns respectively. This will be a ball in my 9 ball lineup for the near future!

DV8 continues to bring you phenomenal gems to the market. Shinny with teeth. The Activ8 has very good length and a quick change of direction down lane. Drilled pin down 60X4.5X70 allowing to keep the ball in front of me and or move in a bit. This one does not give up even moving left. Very versatile with surface adjustments makes this to be a great ball to the bag. Add this one to that bag.

Length with flip on light to medium patterns

Posted by Derek Kozlak on Jun 14th 2021

Speed: 17.9 RPM: 480 PAP: 5 7/8 RT x 2 1/4 DN No-thumb, one league per week, tournaments when I can. Tremendous slouch. Length with flip for light to medium volume patterns. DV8 is primed and ready for a big year!  Hell Raiser Return and Damn Good Verge have been great performers and have turned some heads already.  The new mid-performance Activ8 will carry on what these two balls have started for the brand this year.  Activ8 looks fantastic; it's a shiny ball with a new symmetric core and uses the proven Composite Fang cover stock but in a hybrid version. This will work great when the lanes break down and incredibly well for high-rev and 2-hand players. The Activ8 has an out of box surface of 500/1000/1500 and then finished off with Crown Factory Polish. DV8 intends this ball to have length with flip and to be most useful on light to medium volume of oil or when the lanes break down and I used one of my favorite layouts for symmetrical core (55x4x25 for all-purpose) to help further achieve that. I’ve only rolled the Activ8 on a burnt 42’ sport shot and on a fresh 2010 USBC OC pattern so far. On the burnt sport shot I had to stand deep inside and play a big sweeping hook and on the OC pattern I was playing more up the boards with the breakpoint being around the 5 board and I really liked the way it went through the pins. It makes me excited to finally see what this ball will do on a house pattern. I’ve never purchased a ball based on it’s color scheme but the Black/Silver/Purple really does look cool sitting on the shelf of a pro shop, on the ball rack and especially going down the lane and crushing through the pins. There seems to be something special about bowling balls that are purple and the Activ8 hasn’t disappointed in it’s motion yet. Consider this an upgrade over the Turmoil Hybrid that was released a couple of years ago with it’s stronger cover and updated core. The Activ8 is another ball from DV8 Bowling that has exceptional performance at an affordable price point. Be well, rip racks ...and shred pins.

Don’t miss out on this one

Posted by Tom Marlow on May 31st 2021

Wow DV8 is on the map this year with these releases. The Activ8 is a really good ball. What I like about it so far is it really fits in the DV8 line. I drilled mine 45x4x35. Right now I love this ball when the lanes have broke down and the Dam good Verge is hooking early and I need to ball down. I switch to this ball stay on the same line and this ball doesn’t bunt up. Doesn’t over hook fills in where the DGV left off. This ball can be used on both sport and house shots.

Perfect fit in an already great line up!!

Dv8 Activ8 reacts more like traditional resin than a typical hybrid. All the control of surface but clears the fronts and saves energy for premium carry! Without a doubt my favorite hybrid!!
