Additional product information:

Improving an already incredible line isn’t easy, but we managed to do it again with the new Black Widow 3.0. Each Widow release in recent years has been more popular than the previous and has taken ball reaction to new levels, and the Black Widow 3.0 will not be an exception. The Black Widow 3.0 is an incredible complement to the Widow 2.0 Hybrid; it has surface and tractions more in oil, making it a great ball to pull out of your bag first. The new Black Widow 3.0 is a solid reactive, much like the Black Widow 2.0, but the cover has been upgraded with a solid version of HK22 and has the same out-of-the-box surface as the Black Widow 2.0. HK22 gives the new Black Widow an advantage on medium to oily lanes, and Hammer fans will be excited when they see that it’s the traditional black and orange Hammer colors.

    Black Widow 3.0

Posted by douglas walters on Oct 9th 2024

I love this ball. I gave this ball a 5 star rating because it deserves it. Not so I could brag about how good I bowl with it. It is everything Hammer claims and then some. I normally use it all three games of league. Although to be honest the third game it is not the the optimal choice (It requires a lot of speed and lofting the ball). If it wasn't so much fun I would be going to a weaker piece the third game. Make no mistake this ball is strong and a little angular. Carry with the 3.0 is awesome. I don't know what it is but this ball strikes and leaves me going "why was that not 9?".

    Black Widow 3.0

Posted by Joe Goldstein, Sr. on May 6th 2024

Black Widow 3.0 is the latest greatest release in the Black Widow line and does not disappoint! This piece is very predictable with a smooth but strong motion downlane and through the deck. She will easily be your first pick out of your bag for medium to heavier oil patterns. It made it’s debut on the Earl Anthony pattern this past weekend which was very challenging. On the fresh, I was able to roll it to my target revved up but not throw it at it which would be peril. The response and hitting power just proves why the Black Widow line is and always has been a cut above. The black and orange coloration is turning heads in every bowling center and pro shop. Don’t miss out on getting yours today!!

Another Great Addition To Hammer Line Of Bowling Balls

Posted by Kevin Nagasawa on Apr 1st 2024

Well How Can Hammer Go Wrong With The Black Widow Line.. I Have Thrown Pretty Much Every Ball In The Black Widow Line And Still Hasnt Let Me Down.. The Addition Of The New Black Widow 3.0 Is Definitely A Great New Addition To My Arsenal. This Ball Definitely Is A Great Choice When The Lanes Are Slick Or Heavier Volume Oil Patterns Really Helps Me Get Through The Oil And Really Drives Through The Pins.. I Have Alot Of Room To Miss And This Ball Recovers For Any Rev Rate Or Type Of Bowler. You Can Use This Ball From Multiple Angles And Still Get Through The Pins... You Can Still Keep Migrating Left With This Ball And Still Gets Downlane And Saves The Energy For The Back Part Of The Lanes And Drives Through The Pins. HK22 Added On This Ball Really Makes This Ball Very Versatile For Every Type Of Bowler. Make Sure To Go Visit Your Local ProShop And Drill A Few Of Them Today! #Hammer #HammerBowling #NothingHitsLikeAHammer

    Black Widow 3.0

Good morning senior bowlers.Let me tell you hammer's hyper on this balll is true. When you throw this ball and watch it go down the lanes and thru the pins it is very exciting . As usual I had it drill with the pin up over the in ring finger. With the Mass bias 1/2 inch right of the thumb.it is 15lb. with a 3inch pin.the ball goes smoothly thru the heads, but when it comes off the end of the pattern and go thru the pins it is very explosive.I had A lot of fun with this ball First ball out of the bag. By the way I hit it with a 2000 pad. Have FUN

    Hammer Black Widow 3.0

Posted by David Larson on Mar 24th 2024

I’m a huge fan of the Widow line and the 3.0 does not disappoint. This is a benchmark to stronger benchmark type ball that can be used on a variety of lane conditions and it has a lot of shape down lane for me for a solid ball. Most stronger solids burn up on me on medium oil and I can only throw them on heavy volume. The Widow 3.0 retains energy and shape even if it’s not sport pattern kind of volumes. Out of the box the comments were on how early and smooth the 3.0 was on the lane. It struck quite a bit. As it lane shined it became longer and a lot more angular but still strikes quite a bit. The 3.0 is a great compliment to the Widow 2.0 Hybrid for times where you need something with a bit more teeth in the oil.

Great ball, 280 first game out of the box, with only three practice shots. Buddies drilled it exactly the way I wanted and the fit was perfect. Three days from the time I ordered it to when I got it, excellent service. Buddies is the best.

Best Version of the Widow Yet!

Posted by Scott Crawford on Mar 11th 2024

This version of the Black Widow is simply amazing. This is a benchmark to stronger benchmark type ball that can be used on a variety of lane conditions and it has the most shape down lane for me for a solid ball I’ve ever had. Most stronger solids burn up on me on medium oil and I can only throw them on heavy volume. The Widow 3.0 retains energy and shape even if it’s not sport pattern kind of volumes. I went 65 x 4 x 20 which is one of my common layouts for that shape and it is the first ball out of my bag right now every time out. https://youtube.com/shorts/nMoUPpZntZs?si=xaIMLQ9G5lcREsEP

If You Need a Ball To Hook..... This is it!!

Posted by Jim M. on Mar 10th 2024

This ball has an early read and a very strong backend. If you are bowling on a heavier oil pattern, leave the coverstock as is. If you are bowling mainly house patterns and find that it is too much, you can polish this ball and turn it into the envy of your league. If you liked the 2.0, you will love this, as it appears to be the 2.0's big brother.

    Widow 3.0

Ball: Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Coverstock: HK22 - Aggression Solid Core: Gas Mask Factory Finish: 500, 1000, 2000 Layout: 50 x 5 x 30 The Black Widow 3.0 does not disappoint. From its shelf appeal to the ball reaction, it is wow factor. Out of the box, everyone commented on how early and smooth the 3.0 was on the lane. It struck quite a bit. Then, as it lane shined, it became longer and a lot more angular. It still strikes quite a bit. So much so that I have not touched the surface. The 3.0 is a great compliment to the Widow 2.0 Hybrid for times where you need something with a bit more teeth in the oil. You can’t go wrong with the Widow series. The 3.0 is no different.
