The Verge line has consistently delivered for DV8 ballers, lane dwellers, and alley cats. The Verge has evolved and is one of DV8’s most reliable lines. Recently, the Verge Solid provided the most hook the DV8 line had seen, creating the need for a longer and more aggressive ball on the backend, which is why the Verge Hybrid was developed. The HK22 base takes the Verge line to the next level by creating symmetric performance that handles oil better for a shiny ball and responds harder to friction. Bowlers will need a Verge Hybrid in their bag to combat any medium condition, or they’ll get left behind.
Verge Hybrid has the same overall shape as the original Verge Pearl, except this one allows me to continue to move left when the lanes start to break down. The Verge Pearl was great on fresh, but for me labored a bit when I started to move in. The Verge Hybrid on the other hand keeps going through the pins, regardless of how far I move in. The HK22 made this ball more versatile than the original. Still has the earlier smoother shape, but now allows the normal rev player to move in and still take out the corners without the messengers.
The Verge Hybrid is another very nice addition to the DV8 line-up. It is a smooth-ish symmetrical ball with the HK22 & Inciter Max Flip cover. What caught my attention the most was the fact I was shooting very few corner pins. What I saw was the ball was picking up earlier than most "flip" balls and going through the front of the pocket as opposed to behind the head pin where corner pins live. It looks good, (Orange / Purple Sparkle) and it rolls good. What's not to like? Gonna be a league shot killer.
I have to tell you the verge line is sooooo goooood. The hybrid is a great addition to the line. For me I have it drilled long to snap hard! Love switching to the ball when the oil Carrie’s down so I can move left and have it come to the pocket hard. It does very well recovering when I miss to the right and will still hold the lane when I pull it. I recommend for any skill of bowler

DV8 continues to release bowling balls which elevate the sport of bowling. The new DV8 Verge Hybrid is a symmetrical ball, that is more angular than the Verge Solid. The new Verge Hybrid wrapped in the HK22 Inciter Max Flip coverstock allows the ball to responds to friction and provides a clean yet strong ball motion on heavy oil conditions. The layout in this ball is 45x4.5x35, allowing this ball to be more angular through heavier oil conditions. The super low RG Threshold Core creates continuous ball motion as the ball moves down the lane. The hybrid coverstock allows this ball to give any bowler at any level more predictability with ball shape and increased hitting power through the pins. This ball is another great fit into the Verge line. If you have had great success with any of the DV8 Verge balls, this ball will not disappoint. Remember, if you are not throwing DV8, you’re just not bowling!
