Additional Information:

Whenever Tommy Jones is asked about his favorite ball of all time, he always points to the Big Time. Tommy throwing the Big Time on TV was memorable for many bowlers, and we thought it was time to put the Big Time back in Tommy’s bag finally. The Big Time Special Edition has the same core shape and colors as the original and will be a favorite benchmark type of ball. While the colors are the same, the cover has been updated with HK22 and the GB 13.7 additives. This throwback perfectly fits the current Ebonite line, adding a symmetric pearl with a dull finish that can be used on medium to heavy oil conditions, and it will work great when bowlers need earlier and stronger mid-lane motion than the Emerge or GB4 Hybrid.

    Big Time SE

Posted by Chris Freeland on Mar 10th 2024

Ball: Ebonite Big Time SE Coverstock: HK22 - GB13.7 Pearl Core: Big Time Factory Finish: 500, 1000, 1500 Layout: 50 x 5 x 30 I was super excited to see the Big Time back on the lanes. The name and color combo alone takes me back. In the Big Time SE, the cover is updated to more modern touches but the core and colors are the same as the original. The great thing about the Big Time is that we have a dull pearl out of the box, which makes it unique. I find this an easy step down option from the higher end asymmetrical balls when you need an earlier, smooth rolling, controlled benchmark type reaction. BIG!

I only have a few games on it, but it seems to be a big ball...smooth, continuous and hits hard!! Looks good when I move in, likes the friction and really crushes the pocket.

    Big Time SE

The Big Time SE is a perfect remix of the original. I loved the fact that this is a pearl ball with the dull finish. I took the cover to 3000 as I'm a higher rev player and wanted to make sure I was able to get the ball down the lane. This ball reads the mid-lane and once it starts changing directions it just keeps going. I've really like starting with this ball. It has quickly become my benchmark ball in my bag!!!

    Big time special edition

Great symmetrical ball goes thru the foront and mids real smooth and has a strong but controllable finish into the pocket. And being that it’s a sanded pearl gives me the option to add polish if I want a different look .

    Big Time with HK22

Posted by Brent Watson on Dec 18th 2023

The new Ebonite Big Time is back, this time with HK22 additive. The Big Time pearl comes sanded at 1500 and revs up quickly in the fronts, however with the HK22 it still hooks a lot on the back end. I use this ball on medium to heavier volume patterns. I left it at box finish, but you can add some polish if you need to. This is the hardest hitting sanded Pearl that I have ever thrown. Glad to have the BIG TIME back!

    I'm telling you, it's a good ball !

Posted by C miller on Dec 9th 2023

Big Time SE is Ebonite's latest release. It's a symmetrical pearl with a dull finish with HK22 coverstock base material, finished at 500/1000/1500 siaair micro pad. What I see out of the ball is a benchmark type ball, it's versatile, and it takes surface adjustments really good. For me, I like it at 1000.It picks up a little sooner without loosing energy, keeping that continuation exiting the pins. I'll leave you with this quote from Bob Newman, "I'm telling you, this is a good ball". Go check out Bob's video on the Big Time Se. He shares his insight on the Big Time SE.

    Big Time Hook!

Posted by Scott Gilmore on Dec 5th 2023

The Big Time SE delivers big time hook! Just what I remembered from the original. One thing about this ball and the One Remix and Encore, they rev up very nicely in the mid lane and still goes through the pins with power. By far the biggest hooking ball in my arsenal. When you are on higher volume lane patterns, the Big Time SE will give you a predictable response that won't let you down. Get one while you can!

    Ebonite Big Time SE

Posted by Bob Newman on Dec 5th 2023

I like that Ebonite did something different and put out a pearl cover ball without shining it up. How many times do we get a pearl ball and end up taking off the polish or compound anyway? I've seen several reviews where people were making them shiny, but I think this ball rolls well just the way it is. It picks up earlier than most Pearls and has a smoother motion but isn't that what you want to control the back ends on most patterns? Joey Tribiani once said, “I like it. What’s not to like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Good.” Well I say, "Smooth? Good. Surface? Good. Strikes? Good. I like it."

    The Big Time is back!

Posted by Tom Marlow on Dec 4th 2023

The big time my first impression, this will be a good benchmark. Then I added compound to it and it really came alive. The HK 22 really complemented the ball with the compound. I didn’t see any early hook. I was very clean through the front really strong, continuous motion on the back in.
