Additional product information:
The legend evolves. The most iconic name in bowling has done something it’s never done before: introducing the Black Widow Tour V1, a revolutionary new version of the most dominant line in the game. For the first time in the Black Widow line, we’ve reengineered the iconic Gas Mask core by removing the flip block and reducing the differential by over 20 points to create an entirely new motion in the Widow lineup. This innovation delivers more controlled motion while still offering the unmistakable power and continuation that bowlers expect from a Widow. Paired with the best cover in the game, HK22 – Aggression Hybrid, and a smooth 3000 grit finish, the Tour V1 produces a ball motion that excels on virtually any condition, just like its predecessors. This isn’t just a new Widow—it’s a whole new level of dominance. Meet the must-have of the season.

Hammer Tour Line is in GREAT hands, with the Black Widow Tour V1!!!
The first ever Black Widow I threw was the Black Widow Mania. I just never threw them because at the time, the Widows just did not fit in my arsenal. Now, I have a steady arsenal of Black Widow line balls in my bag. Here is my review of the new Black Widow Tour V1. The best way to describe this ball is by comparing this ball to two other hammer balls I’ve thoroughly enjoyed throwing, and those are the Hammer Effect Tour and the Envy Tour. The Effect was exceptionally smoot and very predictable. The new Black Widow Tour V1 in my opinion is very similar in ball shape and motion, but much cleaner through the front parts of the lanes. The new Black Widow Tour V1 has a modified asymmetric Gas Mask core (Widow Gas Mask Low Diff Core without the flip block on top) wrapped in the HK-22 Aggression Hybrid coverstock used on the Widow 2.0 Hybrid. The Black Widow Tour V1 has a 55x4x30 layout, but I also altered the surface on this ball. What I did was take some of the rubbing compound shine off the ball to make the ball shape a little sooner in the mid-lanes. For me, this ball is best used on medium lane conditions or even when backends are very strong. This ball is clean through the fronts and very strong and controllable off the spot. This ball is also one of those balls which are for bowlers of all averages, styles and speeds. If you are a fan of the Black Widow line, this ball will not disappoint. The new Black Widow Tour V1 is available at your local pro shop!

Best Widow I have rolled
I have never really been a huge fan of the gas mask core. I simply don't match up well with it. But with the flip block removed, the lower diff numbers give me a shape I was desperately needing in my bag. I drilled mine 35 x 4 x 65 (so it's pin down). It revs up early but doesn't seem to burn off and still gets through the pins nicely. I can see myself going to this when the pattern gets weird and I need some control.

Black Widow Tour V1
BALL SPECS Pin Length: 2 to 3 Starting Top Wt: 2.8 oz Ball Weight: 15 DRILL PATTERN Pin to PAP: 45 X 4 X 40 BOWLER INFO: Style: RH Stroker – Speed Dominant Rev Rate: 260 Ball Speed: 16 -17 PAP/Track: PAP: 5” and 5/8" up SURFACE PREP Box Finish and freshened with a 2000 pad. The Tour V1 takes surface adjustments well. Don’t be afraid to try some different grits on this one to optimize your reaction. LANE CONDITION Kegel Titanium (44’) House Shot COMMENTS The Black Widow Tour V1 is a new addition to the low diff collection. Balls with the low diff have become quite popular over the last couple years as they provide additional control that high rev players look for. Although I’m not a high rev guy, this ball still has a place in my bag when the lanes begin to get dry. On the broken down Titanium pattern, I was able to move left and get the ball to the friction easily. When the Tour V1 saw that friction, it made a surprisingly strong move to the pocket and gave me some nice hold as well. On the house shot, I had to stay in the dry. The ball got good length and made a sweeping move into the pins with excellent hitting power. For my style, this ball does not like oil, but is great in later games. Thanks for reading this review. Good bowling to all!

Hammer Black Widow Tour V1
At this point, it should be very difficult to improve upon the Widow core but the folks at Hammer Bowling did just that in the Tour V1. This ball really hits all the buzz words. It is clean and controllable and easily fits that step down ball from the Widow Mania and 2.0 Hybrid. If you struggle with lanes that hook a bit too much or fronts that hook too early causing flat hits, give this one a look.

A must have in your bag
I've always been a fan of the Widows and this one is no exception. Think of a 2.0 Hybrid, with just a slightly more controllable reaction due to the flip puck removal and lower diff. The ball reaction is still very much that of a Widow though, so don't be fooled. Strong and continuous. I have found use for this whether it be fresh or burn. Strong enough to cut through the oil, but doesn't overjump when it hits friction. It plays both conditions exceptionally well and really controls the cliff when the lanes can become over/under. Very good balanced ball reaction. It should fit a variety of styles of bowlers I would definitely consider giving it a shot.

Best Hammer Tour Ball Yet!
**Hammer Tour V1 Review** *Layout: 55 x 4½ x 45* The Hammer Tour V1 is the best Tour series release yet! Right out of the box, I shot an 818 series during league play — a true testament to its performance and consistency. This ball is ideal for both league and tournament competition, offering exceptional versatility and continuation through the pins. Unlike many other asymmetrical options, the Tour V1 is slightly cleaner through the fronts and makes a quicker, more defined change of direction downlane. The combination of control and pop makes it a reliable choice for multiple lane conditions. The Tour V1 will absolutely remain in my arsenal for upcoming tournaments. **BankBowler300** 16 MPR | Right-Handed | PBA Regional Professional Current House Shot Average: 250

Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 (Little Engine)
The new Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 is like a small block engine compared to the OG BW being a Big block. The Tour VI is very clean and controllable, hence the "tour" ball. It has a very predictable ball motion. It comes with a 3000 sanded surface, which blends out the ball motion and keeps a smooth backend ball motion. It still has the BW-hitting power of the gas mask core. It blends out wet/dry conditions. I found the Tour V1 rolls very well on sport shot conditions at the box finish. I polished it for suitable house shots. For those BW OG fans, this Tour V1 is a smaller engine than the performing Black Widow in the past. You cant go wrong with a Hammer Black Widow
