Additional product information:

Radical is very excited to announce a new addition to the Top Shelf lineup, The ZigZag. We used our new core development system (originally used to develop the Outer Limits and the new Katana line) to predict core motion and dial in specific desired performance characteristics. Using this new program and the best cover stock in the industry, HK-22, we have created ZigZag.

The ZigZag has an Rg of 2.50, a differential of .045, and an intermediate differential of .015. These core numbers and unique core shape combined with HK-22 Pearl create a strong down-lane motion. A unique characteristic of theZigZag is its longer hook window; this is not typically seen in asymmetrical balls.

Our goal at Radical is to keep increasing the backend motion while maintaining continuation through the pins. The ZigZag has exceeded that goal. Combining this new core shape with the HK-22 pearl and outstanding shelf appeal, The ZigZag is guaranteed to be a home run.

HyperKinetic-22, referred to as HK-22, is a new chemical compound made available through the hard work of our chemists, and it is a whole new ball game when it comes to cover stocks. The new HK-22 base is more transparent, so the colors are vibrant and cleaner through the front for a more dynamic response off the spot.

With our new ball launches, we are featuring new drilling instructions offering a wide variety of ball motion with “no balance hole” options so that bowlers can make a smoother transition into the new ball specifications.  Again, this is just another example of why Radical is quickly becoming a leader in bowling ball technology.  We call it the #Radical Revolution.

At Radical Bowling Technologies, innovation is our commitment.  We deliver high-tech, high-quality products for the betterment of the game …Wow!  That’s Radical!

    Zigzag

Posted by Robert Way on Feb 4th 2024

Radical Zig/Zag I am a left handed bowler. My ball speed is around 14.5 mph. My Rev Rate is around 275 rpms. I recently punched up the Zigzag. My layout choice was 70 x 3 1/2 x 25. This ball has the HK22 cover. This allows the ball to get down the lane very well. And with the layout choice allows the ball to have a very strong backend Motion. It well on backends that are on the soft side. (Not hooking a lot) This is a great addition to the Radical Bowling Technologies line. Robert Way

    This is a Homerun Ball

Posted by Jim M. on Feb 1st 2024

I just got this ball and threw it for the first time, and it is amazing. This ball has great length through the early and mid portion of the lane, then comes off the friction with a reaction that generates a large amount of pin action. This is a ball that needs to be in your bag.

A Ball So Good, I Had to Drill Two of Them!

Posted by Bryan L. Williams, PBA and DV8 Pro Staff on Jan 28th 2024

The new Radical Zig Zag has a revolutionary designed core that makes this ball absolutely amazing! Infused with the new HK22 coverstock, the Radical Zig Zag is a very strong asymmetrical ball with incredible hook and hitting power. I compare this reaction to the Radical Conspiracy Hybrid, which was my all-time favorite ball because of its versatility and continuation through the pins. The Zig Zag is very much so similar to it. I drilled both balls differently. One I drilled at 40° x 4-1/4" x 75° (pin down) and the other at 70° x 3-1/2" x 20° (pin up). Both of these balls complement each other very well on various lane conditions. The pin down Zig Zag works on multiple conditions from down and in to opening the lanes and playing more inside. With an altered surface or straight out of the box, the new Radical Zig Zag is one of the most predictable balls released this year. It is definitely a must have in your bag!

    Very strong

The AI designed cores are impressive so far and this one is no different. As with the Outer Limits and Hitter the Zig Zag and hybrid HK22 cover really drives through the pins hard. For me I had to take the factory compound off the ball with 2000 then 3000 to get the reaction I wanted. There is a lot of hook build in this ball so you really don't have to drill it strong either. Definitely a first ball out of the bag on heavy oil or longer patterns.

    Radical ZigZag

The Zig Zag. This is another nice rolling bowling ball from Radical. I really haven't seen any bad bowling balls in quite a while, especially those infused with HK22 on the cover stocks. Everything coming out is designed to fit a niche in the arsenal lineup and I'd say that this fits right in. I drilled mine at 60 x 4-1/2 x 40 to take some of the ZAG out of it and I really like the shape it makes. To me it feels like it is more solid than pearl in this hybrid creation. It is smoother than most asymmetric pieces to my eye and fits just below the Outer Limits. I like the way it stays strong through the pins. Love the lime, silver and black going down the lane as well. Overall good ball.

    Messenger city (45x5x25)

This weight block and combination with hk22 is so much backend motion is what I've been missing. This ball is so freakishly clean in the front and predictable backend motion. It enters the pin by far better than any other pearl bowling balls and I'm not a fan of pearl, I would prefer a hybrid any day but I'm glad I had the hunch to drill this one.

    Zig zag

Well, not only does this ball look good. It rolls really good. It was super clean through the front with a nice continuation. It wasn’t overly aggressive if I missed right. You can definitely use this one on the house shot as the first out of the bag

    Smooth and Continuous

Posted by Clancy DeGroodt on Dec 1st 2023

Really Excited!!! The Zig Zag with its HK22 Hybrid cover and lower intermediate differential makes the shape a bit more rounded for an asymmetrical ball. I found on house patterns that can at times become a bit cliffed that when a miss to the outside results in smooth recovery and continuation and missing in the oil it doesn’t over react at the end of the pattern. First game off the press resulted in 300. Don't miss that opportunity.
