Additional product information:

Sometimes it's just better to let the R&D Team play around with various core and cover combinations and let them see what kind of chaos and havoc they can create. Such was the case with our latest addition to the HP3 Line known as the GREMLIN.

For starters, the R&D creatures found that when they "maxed out" the densities of both the block and the slug, the RG Value and DIFF Value both increased, while the mild asymmetric split lowered just a little, thus creating a cleaner and more angular motion down lane than we had ever seen before from this shape.

And of course they couldn't stop there. They then decided that in order to create a truly mischievous motion, they needed to develop a cleaner, more Versatile and more Responsive pearlized coverstock material, better known as V-R1™ (Versatile-Response - 1st version) to provide a new level of skid and snap that every bowling creature will come to appreciate.

    Roto Grip Gremlin

Posted by Kevin Duncan on Jul 20th 2025

Roto Grip Gremlin Layout: 4.5 x 4.0 x 2.0 Storm Pin Buffer Layout Rev Rate: 325 rpm, 7 degree of axis tilt, 40 degree of axis rotation Testing information: 41 foot THS (medium to light volume) Bowling Center: Fulton Bowling Center IKON Kegel Machine – Brunswick Anvilane The Roto Grip Gremlin utilizes the V-R1 pearl reactive cover along with the Rondure core made famous in the Rubicon series. The Gremlin does not use the A.I. core technology. I am not sure why but it seems to work in the Gremlin. I drilled mine before a trip to Oklahoma City to bowl a SABA at Holiday Lanes. I had a good look with it on the house shot on the wood lanes side. There was too much oil on the synthetic lanes side of the center for the Gremlin. I see the Gremlin as one or two step down from the strongest balls in my arsenal. My tournament arsenal (current) 1. Storm Ion Max 2. Storm Physix Blackout 3. 900 Global Origin 4. Roto Grip Rock Star 5. Storm Equinox or Roto Grip Gremlin 6. Storm iQ Tour A.I 7. Road Warrior 8. Storm iQ 78U Visit your local Storm VIP Pro Shop! #Stormnation #SquadRG

    Gremlin has hatched!

Posted by Dave Jecko on Jul 18th 2025

The Gremlin has hatched and is ready to strike! It features the brand new V-R1 (Versatile-Response 1st Edition) pearl cover and the Rondure MaxD core. The V-R1 cover was created to push through the fronts and provide a consistent reaction to friction on a wide variety of patterns and oil types. The Rondure MaxD core, first seen in the Rubicon series, has been pushed to the limit to generate the longest and most continuous downlane reaction in the HP3 line. The Gremlin gave me a great look sliding on 30, looking 17 at the arrows with my breakpoint around 7-8. I was able to play multiple angles by changing my speed and hand position, but the Gremlin thrived the further left I moved. It also did an excellent job blending out the wet/dry on the high friction house pattern. When compared to the Rockstar, it was several feet cleaner and much sharper off the end of the pattern. I’ve had great success with HP3 balls from Roto Grip in the past and get a UC2 vibe from the Gremlin. If you are in the market for a pearl asymmetric ball that will compliment your strong solid/hybrid asymmetric balls, the Gremlin will be a must in your bag. Stop by your local Storm VIP pro shop to check it out! Available on July 18. Roto Grip Gremlin Review

Posted by Tobias Myers on Jul 18th 2025

The Gremlin is the newest ball in the Roto line and features the V-R1 Pearl Reactive cover, Rondure MaxD Core, and comes with power edge finish. This ball is the first one in a while that does not feature AI technology. When throwing the Gremlin, it reminds me a lot of the UC2, both strength and shape. It is one of those balls that you can get left and throw right without having to worry about it not getting back. This ball has that good old hockey stick shape. This is a bigger asym Typhoon and would be a step down from the attention star and the equinox. For me, this is not going to be a fresh oil ball but when they burn up and you need to wheel the lane. This ball is going to be versatile for many styles and another great release from Roto Grip! Ball review link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBC-2_sjAgs&t=35s Tobias Myers #RotoGrip #SquadRG

Staff Review - Roto Grip Gremlin

Posted by Ryan Burks on Jul 16th 2025

? Staff Review – Roto Grip Gremlin ? Layout: 5 x 4 x 2 | ReactaGloss™ Finish Bowler Specs: 475 revs | 12° tilt | 45° rotation | PAP: 4¾" x 1" up ? The Rundown: The Gremlin might look fun-sized, but don’t be fooled—it’s a serious piece. Built with the new V-R1 Pearl cover and a maxed-out Rondure core, this thing glides through the fronts and hits the corner like a possessed pearl. ⚖️ Ball Comparison (Real Talk): Ball up from a Hyped Pearl Earlier and smoother than TNT Infused Cleaner and flippier than Exotic Gem ? Best Use: When the lanes are transitioning but you still want angle League nights when the fronts go but the backends stay strong Tournament days when symmetric motion isn’t quite enough ? My Take: Super versatile—reads early enough to control the midlane but doesn’t quit downlane. You can move in and trust it to come around without jumping or stalling. Great addition if you need something between your benchmark and your big asym.

    Gremlin

Posted by Glenn on Jul 15th 2025

Ball Specs: Roto Grip Gremlin Cover stock VR-1 Pearl Reactive Rondure™ Maxd Core (Asymmetric) Power Edge Finish Layout 4 x 4 x 1.5” Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I have been waiting to roll the Gremlin ever since I saw the specs on it. This ball is a beautiful mix of purple colors, and the green logos look great in contrast. The Gremlin was much more predictable at the breakpoint than I expected considering the high RG value. I think this is due to the asymmetric core and the new cover stock. The Gremlin covered more boards than I expected but remained controllable. This ball has a very good price point and has already created a buzz at the shop. I would put this ball above my Hustle M&M, but below my Harsh Reality pearl in total hook. I have used this ball at a couple of bowling centers now and what I’m seeing is, as the shot gets worse the ball gets better. The Gremlin is a ball I think I can keep in my hand for a long period before going to something else. The lighter hits seem to move pins around a bit, which is also fun to watch. I have very good expectations about this ball. Summary: The Gremlin is a very attractive benchmark ball. This ball is forgiving versatile. The Gremlin is a performance ball at a very good price point. Glenn Wendel Sidewinders Pro Shop Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com

    The Name Says It All

Posted by Thomas Szczepaniak on Jul 10th 2025

The Gremlin’s modified core simply is amazing. I was able to try this ball on the fresh and the burn and it gave me a great look. The ball on the fresh, I was able to play a little further right around 7-8 board at the arrows. The ball definitely started picking up a touch sooner than I expected but the lanes this summer have been playing with a bit more friction than last summer. Now I was able to jump back on the same lanes at the end of the night after the league and I was blown away with the versatility of this ball. My first handful of shots I was rolling the ball around 15 at the arrows out to about 5 and the ball just ripped off the spot and continued through the pins. Moving a little more left I tried to throw around 20 at the arrows to keep it a little tighter and a handful of shots I missed in gave me some good mix strikes. But the ones that seemed to get to the 12-14 board area on the lane came back high flush.
