Sometimes it's just better to let the R&D Team play around with various core and cover combinations and let them see what kind of chaos and havoc they can create. Such was the case with our latest addition to the HP3 Line known as the GREMLIN.
For starters, the R&D creatures found that when they "maxed out" the densities of both the block and the slug, the RG Value and DIFF Value both increased, while the mild asymmetric split lowered just a little, thus creating a cleaner and more angular motion down lane than we had ever seen before from this shape.
And of course they couldn't stop there. They then decided that in order to create a truly mischievous motion, they needed to develop a cleaner, more Versatile and more Responsive pearlized coverstock material, better known as V-R1™ (Versatile-Response - 1st version) to provide a new level of skid and snap that every bowling creature will come to appreciate.

Gremlin
Ball Specs: Roto Grip Gremlin Cover stock VR-1 Pearl Reactive Rondure™ Maxd Core (Asymmetric) Power Edge Finish Layout 4 x 4 x 1.5” Pin Buffer Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5” Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I have been waiting to roll the Gremlin ever since I saw the specs on it. This ball is a beautiful mix of purple colors, and the green logos look great in contrast. The Gremlin was much more predictable at the breakpoint than I expected considering the high RG value. I think this is due to the asymmetric core and the new cover stock. The Gremlin covered more boards than I expected but remained controllable. This ball has a very good price point and has already created a buzz at the shop. I would put this ball above my Hustle M&M, but below my Harsh Reality pearl in total hook. I have used this ball at a couple of bowling centers now and what I’m seeing is, as the shot gets worse the ball gets better. The Gremlin is a ball I think I can keep in my hand for a long period before going to something else. The lighter hits seem to move pins around a bit, which is also fun to watch. I have very good expectations about this ball. Summary: The Gremlin is a very attractive benchmark ball. This ball is forgiving versatile. The Gremlin is a performance ball at a very good price point. Glenn Wendel Sidewinders Pro Shop Storm Pro Shop Staff gwendel@comcast.net www.stormbowling.com

The Name Says It All
The Gremlin’s modified core simply is amazing. I was able to try this ball on the fresh and the burn and it gave me a great look. The ball on the fresh, I was able to play a little further right around 7-8 board at the arrows. The ball definitely started picking up a touch sooner than I expected but the lanes this summer have been playing with a bit more friction than last summer. Now I was able to jump back on the same lanes at the end of the night after the league and I was blown away with the versatility of this ball. My first handful of shots I was rolling the ball around 15 at the arrows out to about 5 and the ball just ripped off the spot and continued through the pins. Moving a little more left I tried to throw around 20 at the arrows to keep it a little tighter and a handful of shots I missed in gave me some good mix strikes. But the ones that seemed to get to the 12-14 board area on the lane came back high flush.
