The Hyped Up has been an awesome ball for transition and later games with the 4.5 × 4 × 2 layout. It gets through the front part of the lane easily and makes a strong, clean move downlane without feeling too sharp. It's one of my favorite balls when I need length and recovery.

Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: I was happy to see another Hype ball again. It seems it has been a while. I have always liked Hypes and the Hyped Up is another good addition to the Roto line. The Hyped Up reads the lane early and has a nice continuous move to the pocket. The Hyped up does not do anything jumpy or unexpected. This should be a ball you can trust to be reliable on medium and poor lane conditions. The Hyped Up hooks more than my Hustle SOS but less than my Gremlin Tour-X. The Hyped Up has a very predictable shape on the lane. This ball continues through the pins nicely. I have always thought The Hype Line provided a lot of performance for the dollar. I let one of my two handers roll this ball and it provided a big miss window without overreacting or rolling out in the high friction part of the lane. I love the black color with the hint of blue. The yellow logo also looks great on this ball. The Hyped Up would be a good benchmark ball for most bowlers. Summary: The Hyped Up is at a nice price point. The motion is predictable and forgiving. The Ultimate Wrecker brought back the HP2 line and now theres a dull finished option available to compliment it. Reviving another well known line they've added a sanded hybrid called the Hyped Up! Those who remember the Hyped line know they were great value pieces. The Hyped Up features an even bigger upgrade as they tweaked the core to add more diff and lower the RG slightly. The cover is also an upgrade; in the words of the company "By combining the DNA of the legendary Transformer (Solid) and the high-performance Gremlin (Pearl), we've created a hybrid shell that defines the "best of both worlds." I tested the Hyped Up on a fairly fresh house-shot in my home center. Our longer/heavier pattern isn't usually very friendly to weaker equipment until you've beat the track up with some stronger equipment. The Hyped up didn't have any problems. I Threw a few shots in the soupier part of the lane and though I had to keep my angles straighter and not give the pocket away, I had a look there. This ball is very predictable and the look it gave me here definitely speaks to it being useful on sport patterns. However since I was on the house shot I decided to move on to the friction. I had an amazing look here. The sanded hybrid cover really blended it out playing close to the oil line. It sat and rolled when I got it up the oil like and it had plenty of bounce back when I pushed it into the friction. It just a touch cleaner than what I would call mid-laney and just a touch quicker than what I would call smooth. This makes it an exceptional transition piece and an invaluable ball for people with lower ball speeds and higher rev-rates. The Roto Grip Hyped Up has one of the most unique and versatile reactions I've seen in a long time. Mine is drilled 45×4.5×30 with a PAP of 4 1/8" right and 7/8" up, allowing it to clear the front of the lane effortlessly while producing a dependable, continuous motion on the backend. Out of the box, it offers excellent length with a reliable move through the pins, but adding surface completely changes the shape, creating an earlier, smoother reaction without sacrificing predictability. Diff.: 0.042 Finish: 4000 Abralon Roto Grip’s new hyped UP is a Hybrid Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium Volume patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. I drilled this piece with the Pin up between the fingers and CG kicked out 1” from the palm. Layout 5 x 4 x 2 ½. I threw this piece on a Fresh 42” house pattern. Out of Box ball motion started in the mids with a strong backend reaction through the pins. I compared this to the Hustle SOS. Hustle SOS was cleaner through the fronts with a smoother backend reaction. This piece will be good for all types of styles looking for a mid price bowling ball for medium oil patterns. The Hyped Up really gets me Hyped for when the lanes have more carry down. This ball has helped me play a little more inside than I normally would throughout the night. The lower RG and higher Diff on this ball makes it a little more versatile than my Hustle. The shape is a lot more predictable and reliable for the area of the lane I am playing.
