Additional product information:
The Rocket A.I. continues the aggressive expansion of the Thunder line by adding a release that creates later ball motion to dominate medium-dry conditons. Powering this release is the Booster A.I. Core, which retains the same inner weight block shape used in previous Rocket models. The outer core, however, has been enhanced with A.I. Technology. This dynamic addition not only increases carry percentage on off-hits, but also lowers the RG and raises the differential, allowing the Rocket A.I. to better match up with today’s lane patterns. To further support performance on today’s more demanding oil conditions, the Rocket A.I. is wrapped in our A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock which is engineered for exceptional tackiness. Jason Belmonte says, “This core/cover combo delivers a quick response on the backend when you need to create larger angles and still have your ball continue through the pins.”

Rocket AI
The Rocket AI is an interesting release, seemingly taking the place of the Hy-Road 40 in the lineup. It uses the same cover as the Equinox and Hy-Road 40 - A1S Pearl - but brings the Booster core from the original Rocket series and adds AI to the outer core. I really liked the Hy-Road 40, but I’ve been a big fan of the original Hy-Road since I finally drilled one up in 2022. The rocket is earlier and definitely has more overall hook than the Hy-Road 40. The 14 pound version that I throw has an RG that’s 0.04 lower than the Hy-Road 40 and a differential that’s 0.013 higher than the Hy-Road 40. So if the Hy-Roads just go too far down the lane, or just don’t hook quite enough for you, the Rocket AI might be a good fit. Rocket to the pocket!
Storm Rocket A.I Booster Core updated with A.I. technology with the very "responsive" coverstock the updated A1S pearl coverstock and finished with Storm Power Edge, but I use it with a 3000 grit surface. My Specs: Rev rate 420’s, ball speed 15.3 to 15.8 mph off the hand, axis tilt of 16 degrees and axis rotation of 70 degrees, PAP is 3 13/16th up 1/8th. Tested on Pro-lane surface on a 43ft medium volume house pattern and 45 and 46ft sport pattern. The layout is 4 X 4 ½ X 3. As the song goes: Rocket,,, Yeah! The next BELMO signature ball is here, the Rocket A.I.. After testing some months ago, Storm’s R&D team came up with this great combo with Jason Belmonte. Using the very popular core from a few years ago, the Booster core, they updated it with the A.I. outer core technology and updated the coverstock to match the more volume and more viscosity conditioners that are being used now. Seeing that I was missing a ball in my 6 ball traveling arsenal, I drilled up the Rocket A.I. with the idea that it would be a full step up in length and strength from my Transformer that is drilled through the Morph wing. I was really surprised by how sharp the backend of the Rocket A.I. over my Phaze II Pearl. After trying the ball over the course of a few games, the A1S coverstock was too aggressive for me in the backend on the sport patterns and a smidge stronger than what I was looking for on the house pattern. Went into the ABC North Pro Shop and had the team hit the surface with fresh 3000 grit VISE INSERTS pads and cleaned it up with Storm Reacta Wipers and went back to the lanes and gained what I was looking for, more control in the dry COF on the back ends of the lane panels and lessen the sharp angle the ball had entering the pocket, that was very strong for my “eyes” were looking for. DON’T be afraid to change the surface of this pearl coverstock. It gave me a more versatile look in the back part of the pattern and backend. Thanks to my two pro shop teams at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg, and Bowlers’ Supply in York. #SquadRG #3GShoes #ViseInserts #Coolwick

Storm Rocket AI Review by Casey Murphy
Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 400 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 1/8 over and 1 up Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS VLS Layout: Layout 1: 4 3/8 x 4 x 2 1/8 (Pin above bridge) Layout 2: 4 x 4 x 3 7/8 (pin below bridge) Strength Rating (out of 10) : 5 Shape: Medium Sharp Best Use: Transition/Light Oil THE LAST BELMO BALL! The Rocket AI is the AI version of the Rocket! The Rocket was a slower smoother high rg ball. The addition of “AI” ramps up the Rocket Core into and very predictable and fast rev’ving clean snappy ball. The Rocket AI features the Equinox cover which is a medium strength pearl. This cover handles a little more oil than you would expect making the Rocket AI a great choice for a multitude of patterns. You can use the Rocket AI on most fresh patterns as long as it’s not too short and definitely use it during transition or dry! The Rocket AI is one of the better Belmo balls of recent and I’m able to use it on a lot more conditions!

The Rocket is Back!
The Rocket A.I. is formulated by adding the A1S pearl coverstock to a modified Booster Core. Layout 40 x 4 3/4 x 70 PAP: 5 5/8 over and 5/8 up Weight: 14lbs The ball needs friction. When I’m on a fresh house shot, this ball seems to labor. Once transition hits, I feel like this is where this ball shines. This ball has easy length for me and more backend when the Monsoon isn’t enough. The best way to describe this ball, think of a stronger hustle wine.

Storm Rocket AI Ball Review by PJ Haggerty
Over ten years ago, Storm introduced the first “Rocket” that lived in the Thunder line and it was known for length and motion down-lane. As lane beds get older and we continue to adapt to high friction surfaces, these types of pieces are becoming more common in league and tournament bags. Starting with the sharp minds at Storm and partnering with Jason Belmonte becomes the Rocket AI, giving us updated technology and performance that we haven’t seen before. Under the hood is the Booster Core, but it’s wrapped with the A1S Pearl Reactive Coverstock which helps with forgiveness and carry. With an RG of 2.53 and a differential of .048, those numbers tell me this ball wants to clear the front, store energy, and create some nice angle before it hits the pins. I’ve drilled one so far and really like it. It’s mapped out as 5.5 x 3.5 x 2.5. This puts the pin above my bridge with a sizeable shift of the CG, and I’ve left the surface alone (factory finish out of the box). It’s been a perfect piece to go to when my Ion Solid or Vengeance are done working. If I need to move my feet left, create angle, and finish a block strong, the Rocket AI is a perfect ball to use. Go drill one! #StormNation

Rocket AI
The new Rocket AI from Storm brings back a classic from the past and gives it an update to tackle today’s conditions. The Rocket AI features the Booster AI core and wraps it in A1S Pearl reactive coverstock finished with Power Edge. At 15 pounds the Rocket AI has a medium RG of 2.53 and a medium differential of .048. I drilled this ball 5x5x2 which puts the pin above my bridge. This ball nicely fits right into my arsenal and fills quite a gap. I have been needing something to go to when the lanes really start to hook in the front part of the lane. The Rocket AI is that ball. It is very clean through the heads and even the midlane and has a strong quick reaction on the backend. This combination provides excellent pin action and carry. The Rocket AI is the perfect ball when I need something a little stronger than the IQ AI or the Monsoon but something a little cleaner than the Phaze II Pearl. The Rocket AI allows me to play further inside with steeper angles than the other lower RG balls such as the IQ or Monsoon. If you are a tournament bowler, make sure you get this ball to fill that gap in your bag!

Rocket
Storm Rocket Coverstock: A1S Pearl Reactive Finish: Power Edge Core: Booster Core with A.I. (14 pd) RG: 2.54 Differential: 0.050 Layout: 5 ½ x 5 x 3 - 2LS Layout Extras: 2 1/8 Finger Depth, “X” - 4 ½ D and 1 inch Left Tester: PAP 6 1/2 R, 1 1/4 D Review: The Rocket features the A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock that offers easy push through the front part of the lane. The Booster Core with A.I enhances control and forgiving motion off the spot. For me, the results and comfort of this ball have been outstanding. So far, I have been most impressed with off hits that have tended to carry when least expected. In comparison to my Storm Monsoon the Rocket reserves it’s energy for later down the lane. Also, I have only rolled both of these balls on house type conditions and neither have required or warranted surface adjustments. To note, at Pure It we did do a longer type of drilling for my Rocket and I’m very content with this adjustment from my standard layouts. Also, being from the east coast most lane beds are simply getting older and built in friction is becoming a standard. For me, I am really enjoying what the Rocket has offered in terms of allowing me to keep my angles a bit tighter for most THS conditions. Also, the Rocket allows me to use various hand positions to easily enhance what I want to do. In addition, if a lot of traffic is occurring in the same area of the lane I’m playing the Rocket has been showing up where adjustments and being able to stay in this ball have been easy to do. Storm Rocket AI
I was extremely excited to hear that the Rocket series was returning, because I had a lot of success with the Sky Rocket back in the day. Luckily the Rocket AI has a similar ball motion to that ball, and it fits perfectly into the Storm lineup. Easy length, a strong yet not quite “flippy” backend, and incredible entry angle all define this ball. I find it best to use on medium to medium-dry conditions, and when it truly gets to the medium-dry part of the night, this ball can really go coast-to-coast if needed. I use this ball when my Roto Grip Gremlin Tour-X is starting to read the fronts a bit too early.

Rocket A.I.
The newest Belmo collaboration from Storm is the Rocket AI which is a remake of the original Rocket that was released in 2015. The new Rocket A.I. has been added to the Thunder Line which places it at lower price point than the previous Belmo collaborations. I never threw the original Rocket which had R2S on the cover and the Booster core. The new Rocket A.I. features the same symmetrical Booster core, but Storm added Amplified Inertia (A.I.) to it which lowers the RG slightly from the original Rocket. For the 15 pounder, the RG is 2.53 and differential is 0.048. The new Rocket A.I. has the A1S Pearl reactive coverstock which is the same cover as the Equinox and the Hyroad 40, so it’s supposed to be a pretty clean and angular cover. This ball is meant for later in the block as the fronts burn up and you need something to push through the front. I drilled mine 4.5 x 3.5 x 1.5 to make it pretty responsive. I threw it on house pattern for league and was surprised that it didn't over skid on higher volume and didn't bounce as hard off the dry. I then threw it on the 2026 46' PBA Regional pattern and was again surprised that it did read the lane (as long as I kept my speed slow). The cover definitely floats through the front part of the lane, but the AI core helps it read the midlane while still providing strong down lane motion. It's not crazy angular (i.e. hockey stick shape), but it's definitely "swoopy" on the back end. So I feel like this is a pretty versatile piece that will fit at the bottom of your middle bag of your arsenal. When the fronts start to burn up and you need something to get through the front and not be over responsive/bouncy, Rocket A.I. would be a good choice. I'd say it's similar shape as IQ AI, just more overall hook.

Rocket AI is Awesome!
Introducing the Storm Rocket AI built to dominate medium oil volume conditions. The A1S Pearl Reactive coverstock creates sharp backend motion on medium oil. Where the Monsoon reads the midlane with its solid cover, the Rocket A.I. pushes longer and snaps harder at the breakpoint. It has a Radius Weight Block — with a 2.53 RG and 0.048 differential at 15 lbs. I am speed dominant, average rev rate 250-275ish, low-medium tilt and medium rotation. I drilled mine 35x4.5x30. My axis point is 4 3/8 over 1 3/8 up. This ball is good for me in later game blocks when I need something clean and strong!Go get yours at your local Storm VIP shop today! #StormNation #sm2proshop #Deviousbowling
