The Black Dragon quickly became a favorite among both customers and our team, thanks to its outstanding performance. Demand for this ball far exceeded our expectations, making it a challenge to keep in stock. Now, we are thrilled to introduce its partner—the Serpent Hybrid. SWAG’s Superior Performance Line has already earned a reputation for delivering high-end results at an unbeatable value, thanks to the success of the Dragon Line. Now, we’re taking that same winning formula even further with the introduction of the Serpent Hybrid. Featuring the all-new Serpent Core, engineered with a higher RG for enhanced downlane motion, and paired with our Serum Hybrid AP26 coverstock, this ball delivers a powerful midlane read with great backend reaction. The Serpent Hybrid is the perfect complement to the line.
DESIGN INTENT:
Speed > Revs – The Serpent establishes a new benchmark for bowlers with faster ball speeds, enabling them to achieve more downlane motion without giving away control and hitting power from the large asymmetrical core. Its cutting-edge Serpent Asymmetric core, boasting a 2.51 RG, .048 differential, and .016 mass bias strength, provides outstanding power and performance usually seen in more expensive models. Combined with the Serum AP26 Hybrid cover, this ball provides unparalleled backend strength and control for bowlers with lower revolutions, making it a reliable choice for players who are speed dominant. Designed for consistent and predictable strong movement, the Serpent is the ideal choice for speed dominant players.
Balanced Speed & Revs – In our trials, balanced bowlers appreciated the Serpent for its great backend, excellent control, powerful continuation, and consistent performance on heavily oiled lanes. They found it durable enough to use for longer periods compared to other high-performance balls during league play. The combination of the Serum AP26 cover and the potent Serpent Asym core provides adaptability, enabling bowlers to easily adjust to varying lane conditions. This design allows bowlers to confidently maintain throwing the Serpent longer, even on fresh oil, without needing to change. The enhanced RG enables its use when the Black Dragon is a touch to early and when the Black Dragon Pearl is a bit to long and not enough overall hook.
Rev > Speed – The Serpent bowling ball is a game-changer for rev-dominant bowlers because of its smart core design. If you’ve experienced excessive forward movement down the lane with traditional asymmetrical balls, you’re not alone. Many of those balls feature overly exaggerated core shapes, such as large, protruding discs, making them hard to control. The Serpent’s Asymmetrical Core solves this issue. Like the Dragon core it shares the same idea but the higher RG enables it to push further down the lane than the Dragon core.
This core is designed to replicate the shape of symmetrical cores but with a larger intermediate differential, providing the ideal balance of control and power. It excels in handling heavy oil without compromising predictability. Furthermore, with the new Serum AP26 hybrid formula, rev-dominant bowlers can confidently use this ball during transitions or at deeper angles—moves that weren’t previously possible with asymmetrical cores.
The Serpent merges the smooth, dependable motion of symmetrical balls with the increased hitting power of a large asym core. It truly offers the best of both worlds! Prepare to dominate the lanes like never before.

The new Serpent
I am an average lefty stroker and my PAP is 4" over amd 3/4" up. I am speed/rev matched. I just recently had the opportunity to roll the Serpent in a tournament at a house in have not bowled in for the last 10 years. This house has some oil and the serpent had no problem reading and hooking in the oil. It got through the fronts with ease and picked up the mid lane very well and when it hit like a truck. I have 2 black dragons and this ball is definitely a good transition piece from those 2. I would say a ball up from my dragon solids. If you need a good ball for oil I would suggest this ball hands down the best oil ball I have in my bag.

This snake will bite
The Swag Serpent is a standout piece that delivers explosive performance and dependable control. With its dynamic asymmetric core and aggressive coverstock combination, the Serpent shines on medium to heavy oil patterns, offering strong midlane traction and a sharp, continuous backend motion. It reads the lane exceptionally well, providing predictable ball motion that inspires confidence even in challenging conditions. The hook potential is impressive without feeling jerky, allowing bowlers to shape angles and attack the pocket with authority. What really sets the Serpent apart is its versatility—it transitions smoothly through different lane conditions and maintains hitting power throughout. If you’re seeking a reliable benchmark with plenty of bite and the ability to carry through the pins, the Swag Serpent is a powerful, high-performance choice worth adding to your equipment arsenal.

SWAG Ball of the Year Early Contender
The SWAG Serpent Hybrid adds to an already stacked lineup in the Superior Line of balls. SWAG staff and fans who have liked their Black Dragon Solid or Pearl or the motions they've seen will love what the Serpent brings. Drilling this 60 x 4.5 x 30, I was able to get a perfect blend of the length of the Pearl while still getting a slightly early read like the Solid. What sets the Serpent apart from the Dragon line is the new AP26 additive that SWAG introduced. AP26 on the Serpent adds a more defined backend motion that many bowlers typically look for. If you are thinking about a first time SWAG purchase, the Serpent should not disappoint!

Swag Serpent Hybrid – Built to Strike. Designed to Winn.
I’ve thrown a lot of hybrids, but the SWAG Serpent Hybrid really surprised me. For me, it’s incredibly versatile. It clears the fronts clean but still reads the midlane strong enough to stay in control. The move off the breakpoint is smooth and powerful — not overly jumpy, just a confident, continuous roll that keeps driving through the pins. What I like most is how forgiving it is. If I tug it a little inside, it holds. If I miss it right, it recovers without overreacting. That means more room for error and more strikes. On medium to medium-heavy house shots, this ball has been money for me. It blends the pattern, carries light hits, and gives me confidence when the lanes start transitioning. If you’re looking for a reliable hybrid that scores and doesn’t quit through the pins, the Serpent Hybrid is worth a serious look.

Beast
I chose this ball because it was supposed to be the perfect complement to the Black Dragon. I was late to the game purchasing a Black Dragon, but once I did, it quickly became the first ball out of my bag. Now that the Serpent is in the picture, how will I ever decide. I have had the opportunity to throw four complete games with this ball going back-to-back 215’s followed by a 229 and 246. The down lane motion of this ball is great when you are looking for more length before the powerful backend reaction. I can’t wait to get more games on this ball and use this in tournaments in other venues and varying lane conditions. Will be looking to complete the 1, 2, 3 punch of the Black Dragon, Serpent Hybrid, and Dragon Pearl.

Swag Serpent Hybrid
All I can say is wow! Swag nailed this one. Still has that Swag hitting power but with the new AP26 additive the added to the cover stock it now creates way more friction on the lane. Which in turn creates tons of hook and explosive hitting power. I would recommend this ball to all types of ballers. Ball is insane

Swag Serpent
This ball is amazing. Great for fresh oil patterns. The new AP26 additive they added to the cover stock is a game changer. It givers the cover more service to create more traction which in turns creates more friction and hook. The hitting power is second to none. Great for rev or speed dominate players or players who need to move left and still be able to get back to the pocket and carry

This ball came to attack
The Serpent Hybrid delivered strong performance on both fresh THS and used THS conditions. Out of the gate, this ball offers good length and a confident, aggressive motion off the spot on fresh oil, making it a great choice when you need early mid lane engagement without flipping too hard through the pins. For my style, the Serpent Hybrid felt more angular than the Dragon series, likely due to the new AP26 coverstock — it gives you that added bite and sharper move into the breakpoint without sacrificing control. On used THS patterns, the ball struggled slightly in the carry-down early on, but once I stepped right and worked it more into friction, it truly came alive — reading the lane well and driving through the pocket with authority. One of the best qualities of this ball is that it creates plenty of miss room on both fresh and broken-down conditions, which is invaluable when patterns flatten out or become unpredictable. Visually, the Serpent Hybrid looks great — I love the green swirls and detailed serpent logo, which really pop on the approach. For me, this will be a frequent first ball out of the bag during league night, and a strong transition option in tournaments as the lanes begin to shape and oil moves down. A very versatile and confident-feeling addition to the arsenal. My stats: • ~250 RPMs • ~13 mph ball speed • 5 1/4” over and 1/2” up PAP • Drilled at 60/5/30 Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3sxdc2xkOI

SWAG Serpent
Introducing the SWAG Serpent! The ball looks great! This ball is the first out of my bag to see how the lanes are playing. At the 4000 finish the Serpent is a great first out of the bag Asymmetrical ball. With it being the partner in crime to the Black dragon it will be a hit! I have used the ball on heavier conditions up to 45 feet of oil and adjusted the surface to 2000. The new ap26 cover makes this ball read great and have a very predictable down lane motion. Performance- The SWAG Serpent Hybrid performs very good on heavy to medium shots out of box. This ball gets through the fronts and Midlane with ease. Saves the energy and reads off the spot with strong and continuous motion!

Swag Serpent Hybrid – Built to Strike. Designed to Win.
If you’re looking for a ball that creates angle without losing control, the Swag Serpent Hybrid delivers exactly that. This is the ball you pull out when solids start reading too early and pearls skid too far. The Serpent Hybrid glides clean through the front, grabs the mid-lane with confidence, and finishes with a strong, continuous backend motion that drives through the pins — not around them. Why It Sells Fast: ✔ Clean through the heads ✔ Strong mid-lane read ✔ Continuous backend — no quit ✔ Outstanding pin carry ✔ Versatile for league & tournament play On a fresh house shot, it opens the lane beautifully. On transition, it blends wet/dry and keeps you in the pocket. When you need a dependable reaction — this is it. The Serpent Hybrid gives you the confidence to move left (or right) and keep striking. It doesn’t overreact. It doesn’t burn up. It simply reads, rolls, and drives. If you want a ball that turns corner and keeps the pins low, the Swag Serpent Hybrid belongs in your bag. Serious performance. Serious carry. Serious results.
