Additional product information:

The Zero Mercy Tour continues Hammer's legacy of benchmark performance, following in the footsteps of favorites like the Obsession Tour, Envy Tour, and Effect Tour. By popular demand, we've brought back the proven core from the Obsession and Envy Tour series and paired it with a first-of-its-kind coverstock innovation. For the first time, the HK22C² additives that helped make the Zero Mercy line one of Hammer's biggest recent successes have been infused into a Tour cover formulation. The result is the perfect blend of traction and control—strong enough to handle heavier oil volumes while maintaining the smooth, predictable motion that Tour ball enthusiasts love. It reads the lane with confidence, handles volume with ease, and continues through the pins without losing energy downlane. The Zero Mercy Tour combines proven Tour performance with the next evolution of Hammer technology, creating a ball that feels familiar while delivering something entirely new.

    Zero Mercy Tour

Posted by Brent Watson on Oct 18th 2026

The Hammer Zero Mercy Tour is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces in the bag and deserves consideration for Ball of the Year. Building off the proven Envy Tour line, Hammer has created a stronger and more versatile option with its advanced cover technology. The first thing I noticed was how predictable the ball motion is. The Zero Mercy Tour picks up strongly in the midlane, creating excellent control without sacrificing continuation through the pins. Even with surface changes, the ball maintains its signature shape and consistency. What really separates this ball is its ability to blend the lane while still producing a strong backend motion. It never feels lazy or loses energy downlane. Instead, it continues through the pins with confidence and predictability. No surprises, no overreaction, just a strong, controllable motion that allows you to trust every shot. If you're looking for a bowling ball that provides midlane stability, versatility, and a reliable finish, the Hammer Zero Mercy Tour is an excellent choice. Put your favorite layout on it, and you won't be disappointed.

    Hammer Zero Mercy Tour

Posted by Chris Monroy on Oct 16th 2026

Here's my take on the new Hammer Zero Mercy Tour. The Zero Mercy Tour features the same low RG/low diff asymmetrical cores used in the original Obsession Tour and Envy Tour. Additionally, Hammer created a new crimson colored coverstock, C2 Tour Edition featuring the same coverstock additives used in prior Zero Mercy releases. Box finish is 1000 Siaair. I drilled mine with a 50 x 5 x 25 layout and used it on several different THS. At the outset, I was a HUGE fan of the original Envy Tour. I truly believe that in being on staff with the Hammer brand for now 23 seasons, the Envy Tour was definitely one of my top 10 favorite balls ever. That ball was absolute gold on higher volume demanding patterns and was often the first ball out of the bag in tournaments. So, when we got the information on the Zero Mercy Tour, I was very excited to try it. The Zero Mercy Tour, by the manufacturer's intent, was to create a similar tour type of motion found in the Obsession Tour and Envy Tour but with an updated coverstock. The Zero Mercy Tour is already in my bag and will remain there for some time. I did a comparison with a similarly drilled Envy Tour with a fresh surface. To my eye, they're VERY similar which is AWESOME! I think, to my eye, the new Zero Mercy Tour is a touch stronger and offers a touch more back end response compared to an Envy Tour. That being said, the Zero Mercy Tour is right on the money when it comes to creating that slower response ball motion which is exactly what a "tour edition" ball is for. It has a big, round type of motion that provides control which is critical when bowling on tougher patterns, especially on the fresh. This is, therefore, best used on high volume patterns and I do think it can be in play on a variety of pattern distances depending on layout. The key, however, is to have sufficient volume in the pattern. I do firmly believe this ball will be absolute money for higher volume fresh tough patterns and perhaps even through transition as I did notice that with a hand position adjustment, I can get the Zero Mercy Tour to go left to right. While I don't want to defeat the best usage for this ball, I will be interested to see how the Zero Mercy Tour does if I take some surface off the ball and how it will handle maybe slightly lower volumes of oil. The Zero Mercy Tour is readily available presently. Please see your local pro shop for information.

The Obsession Tour and Envy Tour Reimagined!

Posted by Bryan L. Williams, PBA Member and Hammer Pro Staff on Sep 24th 2026

The Obsession Tour and Envy Tour were bowling balls that revolutionized ball shape, roll and hook. The New Zero Mercy Tour just elevated the game to a whole new level! The Zero Mercy Tour has the Obsession and Envy Tour Core wrapped in the new C2 Tour cover, but for the first time the HK22C² additives have been added to the cover which has elevated the Zero Mercy line of bowling balls to a whole other level. The Zero Mercy Tour gives you that predictable Tour ball shape and motion we have come to love, but by adding the HK22C² additives to the cover, the ball is much stronger than the original Obsession and Envy Tour balls. The layout in this ball is 50x4.5x35, which will allow for maximum versatility on both house shots and tournament conditions. I can move more inside with this layout on the Zero Mercy Tour and the ball never loses any power. This ball is best used on heavier volumes of oil and even with lane shine on it, the ball NEVER loses its continuation through the pins. The Zero Mercy Tour is just simply amazing! If you were disappointed when the Envy Tour was retired, celebrate now because the Zero Mercy Tour has brought it back with a vengeance!
