Radical Intel Tour Bowling Ball

The new Intel Tour is another example of how incredibly versatile these balls are. The new Radical Intel Tour has the same core as the original Intel. The difference in this ball is the new Hyper Control Cover (HC). The Hyper Control Cover is designed to add a new dimension to the urethane ball motion. The Intel Tour absorbs oil like a resin ball while offering a ball motion found in most urethane, which allows bowlers to control the mid-lane roll. The layout in the Intel Tour is 60x4.5x30, allowing this ball to give length with a very controllable shape off the spot. As I've gotten older and bowled on more sport patterns in events, I've learned the value of slow response bowling balls, balls that offer a controlled smooth motion especially to control transition. That's why, when I saw the specs on the new Intel Tour, I was particularly enthusiastic to try this release. The Intel Tour features a low RG/low diff Modified Intel symmetrical core (2.48 RG/.032 diff in 15#) wrapped by a magenta colored Hyper Control coverstock. Box finish is 1500 Siaair. I drilled my first one with my favorite pin down layout, 60 x 5 x 70 layout and tried it at box finish on various THS. I had a lot of good luck with the original Alert by Brunswick, another slow response smooth motion piece of equipment. (2.47RG/.037 diff in 15#) In fact, I liked it so much I drilled 3 of them. As such, I figured the Alert would be a good piece for comparison purposes. To my eye, the Intel Tour is a touch earlier and a bit more overall at box finish. I had to be a couple left with the Intel Tour compared to the Alert. That being said, they both exhibit that same slow response motion which is usually very beneficial when bowling on cliffs or very tough patterns where control of the lane is key. There is not a ton of flare and the flare rings are tight. Again, I plan on drilling another one or two of these because I absolutely see the purpose and value of having these pieces in the tour tournament bag so to speak. Plus, the bright magenta color has great shelf appeal and will make it very easy to see these balls going down the lane. The Radical Intel Tour is now readily available.
